I don't have much to say today, for obvious reasons.

Congratulations to kithan and her Packers. They played a good game.

That's a total of 8. It's going to be a hard hit, even if it's really not anywhere near as many as she would eliminate if she got her way!! (That's how she gets when she doesn't have her Percocet!)

Other than that. I really don't have anything else, other than a deep urge to drink. A lot.

My condolances, Gary. I was refreshing the score like it was my job, and rooting for the Steelers, so it definitely wasn't my fault they lost.

I don't drink either anymore. Not much at all. It lost it's appeal after my first semester or two if college, so I'll chug a big glass of water in your honor (since I don't drink soda except Diet Dr. Pepper and I'm about out.)

Soooo I'm evil and eliminations make things exciting, right? Right?

Eliminations means people will actually continue to read and vote over the next couple of days, so I see that as a positive! If there were no eliminations, people would just be like "Eh, it's not like it's going to affect anything anyway."

I really wanted to get smashed..but we're started our new job tomorrow- matter of fact I plan to turn in shortly.

We avoided watching the game..and I was a bit disappointed with the halftime entertainment. Managed to miss most of the commercials since Carrie and Claudia went out walking today (it was 80 degrees out..needed to take advantage of the nice weather)

I left the party with my head hung low. There were two Steelers supporters and everyone else was pulling for the 49ers Dolphins Packers. :(

My team was beaten by my father's team, which was in turn beat by my brother's team, which lost to Green Bay today.

My father and I are in agreement that, if neither of our teams were in contention, there's no reason my brother's should win it.

Of course, my brother and I agree that about my father's team, and he and my father agree that about my team, so the point is misery loves company. :D

All I can say is... I'll be interested to see how the friends only voting affects the results.

My baby is super interested in grabbing things and sticking them in his mouth at the moment, so since he's five and a half months now, which is about how old my other son was when we started giving him food to try, my husband bought him some finger baby food today for him to try. He seemed to like it.

Gary, don't you get dehydrated if you don't drink? You should be having at least 2L of water a day or something ;)

I have been drinking muchly, but I'm not sure it will help you since it is for a different reason (and I will keep my celebrating mostly elsewhere out of respect).

But a random tidbit - tomorrow all of the public schools in Green Bay are closing at noon so the students can stand outside in the cold and welcome the Packers home. The last time they won the SuperBowl the population of Green Bay doubled the day of the parade because so many people came into town to watch the team go by.

Nope, didn't watch the Super Bowl. I fell asleep during "Destroyed In Seconds" on Discovery instead! However, since the Packers won, that means I lost the pool at work :sigh:

My right foot is all swollen and it's killing me. You can really notice it if you look down at it. I don't know what I did, but I'm betting it's a doozy, whatever it is.

I've been reading entries piecemeal. I'm off today, though, so I'll be making up for that :)

Other the occasional fruity cocktail, I only drink at work-related functions. We had a completely dry Super Bowl viewing at home, with very little investment in the outcome, other than my own dark desires to see how a double elimination would play out. I DID feel a bit guilty for that, though.

Good Morning Idolers...

Quite the game yesterday wasn't it? It was a very well fought battle and both teams should be proud.

Now that I'm done being all sunshiney and cheery and crap, can I admit to a little inward snicker at seeing a team I loathe so much lose the big game??? The *only* thing that could have been better would have been watching the Patriots, Chargers, Broncos or Chiefs lose it all.

Though I do feel much compassion for Gary as I know exactly how it feels to watch your team lose in the big game. And it kinda sucks if you're one that lives and dies by your team. So I feel for the guy.

And now... off to nervously watch the polls... Yikes. Hope everybody is having a tolerable Monday.
