Since I posted my entry yesterday, I worked my way through the Second Chance entries today and decided to put together a rec post (http://comedychick.livejournal.com/482380.html) for them. Not sure I'll be able to do the same with the main game this week, but my husband has to go to work tomorrow (Saturday) so I'll have an extra day for reading that I don't normally have. I just hope there'll be a lot more entries for me to get through when I wake up because I'm usually less inclined to read stuff the closer to the deadline it is posted :/ (I know, I suck).

Not sure what Sunday holds yet, but Tuesday, we are heading down to Singapore, so I'm totally going to miss the polls closing and hoping that I don't get voted out :P

Relatively normal day today. I'm without my desktop since I have sold its guts to make room for a brand new Sandy Bridge build. I am excited about this, but it means having to suffer with my Macbook Pro, and when I say suffer I mean about the world's worst First World Problem :).

Tomorrow morning, ass-early, is my first actual class of the semester, even though it started last week (my classes work in two half-semester blocks of two classes each, one got cancelled the first week and the other is online). Either late tonight or tomorrow afternoon there will be capoeira, which I have let slide and need to get back into, because it is made of awesome and win.

I feel as if I only just wrote a million things in the last Green Room post and there's another one already! Not that I'm complaining about the number of GR posts; if anything, it probably says I'm spending just a tad too much time at my laptop...

I'm taking my children and meeting up with my parents at a garden centre tomorrow, probably for morning tea. Other than that we'll be trying to stay out of the heat. And since I haven't read ANY entries for the main competition, I'll probably do that tomorrow, too... in the pre-dawn grey-light that is the time my children wake me up.

Sunday, no plans as yet. Possibly the beach in the morning.

And I wouldn't be surprised if a cat did hit you with a tree, Gary. Sneaky, sneaky creatures they are - with pointy feet.

Weekend plans: Both of my older kids have basketball games on Sat morn.

I have class tonight (Friday) for about 3 hours. This is the start of this one so I'm wondering how much the professor expects and when the due dates are.

I have an essay to research and write for my History of the English language class due Tues that I hope to finish Sat or Sun.

Otherwise, mainly taking care of my kids. 3 kids, a dog, fish, a house, college...I'm always busy but in a "rather boring to recount" way.

I am awake! Which is something. I'm even sitting up and have turned the overhead light on, so by the looks of things I'm well on my way to work. Now if I could just find those pants....

After work I'm going to scope out this new-ish coffee house to see if my writing group can meet there, since our other place is going to start closing early. And then I might drive out to Cocoa Beach with my roommate to see our favorite local band before they go off on tour again. You know, big plans.

I wrote a journal entry instead of fiction this week, so it will be interesting to see what people have to say about it. I don't know if people like it more when I do one over the other. I'll need to see if I can work a poll into one of my entries.

Probably two-thirds of my Idol entries fall into the "journal entry / true story" variety, rather than fiction. I like reading both sorts - it doesn't matter to me whether it is fiction or not, as long as it is well told.

I'm at work, whee. But I have a Panera bagel to get me through, and BossMan has promised to bring me back at Starbucks at lunch, so that's something to look forward to. He (and my coworkers) know that they can always reward me (or bribe me) with a Starbucks, LOL.

This weekend will be doing some laundry and getting ready to head off to Vegas on Tuesday morning, w00t! One more day of work after today then I'll be off for a week.

Oh, and I got an "Outstanding" on my yearly review - the highest mark possible - so that means I earn two extra vacation days. *Boogies*

I *wish* I were at home sleeping. That would be nice. But then I might get bored and have to go mow the lawn or something. So perhaps it's best that I'm at work. :-)

Still struggling mightily with this topic... I is worried. The lovely pixie117 will be home from the wilds of Missouri tomorrow so I'm anxiously anticipating that. We'll likely go have some noodles (yum) and spend some time just relaxing... I'm sure she'll need it.

So other than stressing about not having the faintest workable idea in my head for this week's topic, nothing else going on.

No real plans, except to feel better (hopefully). There's been a snag in treatment, namely the fact that after supplying me with the shots for two years, the insurance has suddenly decided it never agreed to cover treatment. I'm without until they figure this out which makes a very sick and miserable 'yote.

If it's warm enough we might actually start on some gardening chores.

And today Dorie scared off a couple of church solicitors by telling them politely but firmly that this was a pagan household. Dee called after them, "Y'all be careful, not everyone out here chains up their dogs like we do."

I'm not sure if they get extra points for daring a pagan household or if they'll need whole new baptisms. They were persistent, though, and said they'd already talked to someone who said they worshiped Diana. Now I'm curious who the the other pagan family is out here.

When I was in college, we were staying at a friend's place one summer. About twelve of us had all crashed at his house.

It was Sunday morning and the doorbell rang. It was a couple of folks from some church or other wanting to tell us about Jesus.

I was the one delegated to talk to them because I'm polite. Unfortunately, some of our other friends weren't quite so polite. One of our female friends - a pale redhead with wild hair down to her knees - ran by behind me, nude and screaming. Her boyfriend came running out after her, carrying a knife. A third friend started yelling to me "Joey, get the goats blood! The virgin escaped."

The religious folks quietly excused themselves.

My today is full of plan. I'm running a few errands, taking myself out to lunch and a movie, picking up my race packet (and those of two friends), then hanging out with said friends for a while so we can finish our Sat am plans.

Sat am - run a 10k. After that I've got nothing for the weekend, which is rather lovely.

Just popping in to say hi. I didn't get a chance to thank everyone for their comments yesterday, I appreciate the support and will try to reply when I get home tomorrow.

But the good news is that it was finalized yesterday. I'm no longer a married woman. That's such a good thing too. He did show up, but was civil the entire time. Even offered to take me to lunch afterward. I had just ate, and really felt awkward anyway, so I turned him down. But it was civil. So much so, I think we baffled the bailiff as we chatted away peacefully right in front of him.

I was scared becaus it could have been ugly. My ex has two sides and it was rare to see the good side like I did yesterday. I'm thankful it went over peacefully and I appreciate all the support so much. Thank you guys :)

Now back to happiness :)

I don't have access to a computer at all. Usually I write from my phone, but edit on a computer when I get home. The only time I hadn't been able to edit from a computer before posting was when I got eliminated last season....

I had a rough night last night... woke up at about 4 AM and my right hand was DEAD. I mean, not just kind of asleep, but weirdly dead with absolutely no sensation or control over the hand. Coupled with recent neck problems (and a neurosurgeon who can't believe that I don't have terrible symptoms and guarantees that I will eventually need massive fusion surgery), it freaked me out in my half-sleeping state. I finally woke it up, and by then I knew there was no chance of getting back to sleep to greet my 5:30 AM alarm clock.

Maybe I'll blog about the existential ickiness of the whole event. Sounds uplifting!

And, I'm trying to decide whether to write an entry or take a bye. We'll see what we will see.
