I'm needing to go to bed asap. I threw my clothes in a bag and I'll be off tomorrow to hopefully get divorced. Wish me luck that it goes smoothly and I come back unmarried! I can't say single, because well...I'm not! But at least I can stop wearing that letter A on my chest at last :P

(no, I never cheated. We've been separated for awhile now).

ETA: I'm flying to Missouri. So I'll be gone for a few days and the big day is actually on Thursday. But it's long trip, so I'm leaving tomorrow. I'll prolly freeze to death too!

Hello, insanely early Green Room!

The state of my personal union is good for the most, except for not having as much time as I wish I did to read and vote and respond to comments this week.

My union is good, although I persist in not watching the State of the Union address. Politics is anathema to me. Blargh, ptui, blech.

On the plus side, I bowled well tonight with a 135, 144, and 95. We took all of our games, one by just 4 pins! Phew.

I am heading off to bed for the evening, as it is late and I need sleep. 'Night!

My union is grand. Ray built me a new path through the forest of our "new" home today. Yay!!! (We moved to a new yurt this weekend...uphill!) meanwhile, I need to tend to paperwork to finalize my divorce. Kids are in their twenties and we are both happy. Now, we have to agree on how to divvy up our debt.

State of our union is happy. It's good to have Tuesday night after the kids are in bed for writing our Idol entries - and the in-room beta doesn't hurt either. :)

State of my office...that'll be another matter, tomorrow, I'm sure. Thursday is the day I get to pitch the big project to the last few people who need to get on-board with it. I am a bit nervous but mostly hopeful that it's going to go well.

My union is much like that of the country- stressed and suffering from a schism between the "haves" and the "have nots" but sticking together through thick and thin and keeping faith that somehow it's all going to work out beautifully in the end.

It's raining, which is the only thing luring me to bed; it's late but I'm not tired but I do love listening to the rain from bed.

Also I've become addicted to "Brothers and Sisters" on Netflix, and now I wish I had a big family like that one.

State of the Kizzy Union? Tired :p I was supposed to be off today, but I got a call at the last minute asking me to swap today/tomorrow because of yet another Impending Snowstorm Of Doom™. This time it's anywhere between 10-15" starting late Wednesday night. Since I live the furthest from Current Employer, it'd make more sense for me to have Thursday off. Plus I don't have to take it as a vacation/sick day :D

There was something else I was going to say, but do you think I can remember what it was? Of course not :p

Managed to get through reading pretty much all the SCI entries today - phew! My state of union is great, my state of mind is much better today than it was yesterday, and it was a public holiday today, so we pretended we were taking the children to daycare and then surprised them with a trip to the park instead. It was so much fun :) (both the fibbing to the littlies and the actual park bit).

Up for a few hot days tomorrow and Friday, so we'll be buckling down inside and eating homemade iceypoles. Yay for iceypoles!

We're in the middle of the... uh... 10th significant snowfall so far this season. It's never warmed enough to melt anything, so it just keeps piling up and I'm getting pretty sick of it.

We moved into a new house with a big back yard on January 1st. Yesterday, I took my daughter outside for only the third time since we moved in.

If you've ever wondered why Philadelphians always seem to have an axe to grind, winter here is definitely a part of it.

I am listening to everybody talking about rain and impending snowfalls and feel somewhat jealous... i'd like a little winter weather too. *sniffles* It's been sunny and warm/bordering on hot for the last few weeks and there seems to be no end in sight! What happened to my favorite season???

State of this union--well, marriage is fine, baby is fine, family is fine. Life is pretty darn good as far as the lasting things go. I find myself catching the fret-over-Idol bug and it is rather irritating, because I'd rather be doing anything other than fretting. So it goes.

Oh, and I'm indulging in a total guilty pleasure: Dan Brown's _The Lost Symbol_. Such fluff, but I just. can't. stop. wookiewife and I are reading it for our book club. :-D

The state of the Green Room is strong. The state of the Dizzy Room, and all the rest of the house, is messy :D Have company visiting this weekend, so need to get cracking on cleaning up a bit.

So far today we have slushy ice, then a light rain. Radar looks like Fun(tm) may start in a couple hours, though we're dancing on the edge of rain, or freezing stuffs, or snow. I'm working from home today because of it, so I'm not complaining.

Overall ,life is good :)

The state of the Beldar is also Indiana, though on occasion it briefly changes at different times of the year.

The estate of the Beldar consists of a not-flatscreen TV, a wonky new laptop, lots and lots of stuffed animals and board and card games, DVDs he likely will never get around to watching, cassette tapss from the 80s he sees no need to let go of, numerous Donald Duck and Threadless.com shirts... (tho to be honest much of this is shared)

Today is my middle child's 7th birthday. I guess this is a silly request but her name is Sara. She recently made her first email address. If anyone cares to send her a one sentence "Happy Birthday" email, she would REALLY enjoy it.

And yes, that is a strange email for a 7yo, but she insisted that is what she wanted. And I decided, if she feels that way, what harm is it? She does love to ride her bike.

So, my plan was to force myself to do non-fiction for the first ten weeks of the LJI, assuming I lasted that long.

From here on out, I'm in "anywhere the prompt takes me" mode. I wrote a first draft of a response to "haute" and it went in a really bizarre (to me) direction. Looking forward to posting it and reading responses in the next 24 hours or so!
