My Saturday started off on the wrong foot early with waking up to find that Annabelle ate my car charger. I couldn't find it anywhere since I bought it, never got to use it...she found it and tore it into pieces while I slept. Isn't that sweet of her?

I'm not worried about the charger in the slightest, but I am worried about my baby eating bits of it since it doesn't seem to be all there. *sigh* my puppy is always a cause for concern...

java_fiend will be over later for sushi and a movie. After the week (and Saturday) I've had, I really could use some relaxation.

Had started writing it yesterday until vertigo set in... :(

Finished it first thing when we woke up...

I'm hoping it'll be a good weekend - Carrie's birthday is tomorrow (it's our body's birthday)...birthday dinner/party tonight in Berkeley and I think one of her friends is driving up from L.A. which will be a nice surprise... :)

Weekend so far: fast-food and Netflix "date" with hubby last night, working on my Icarus entry until 3am, and waking to salmon and pancakes breakfast. More Netflix and cleaning up Icarus and now... POSTING IT!

I think this is the closest to the deadline I've ever posted, and I'm hoping it's the closest I ever do!!

Later I'm going to the office for a while, and then read entries all evening. And do laundry, because dirty clothes are not cute.

My day is going to be mostly spent rushing around getting various errands and things done before I travel to San Francisco tomorrow for the week. (Sadly, business trip rather than fun vacation trip.)

And I don't have my entry finished yet, so that's gotta get squeaked in there as well in the next three hours before the deadline -- I at least have it started, which is better than last week, lol. If necessary, I have one more bye, but I was really trying to save that for next week if I need it, as the travel week might play havoc with things, etc.

At least it's a balmy -5F here today and the sun is shining. (Two nights ago, it was -41F, so yes, -5 seems quite warm in comparison, lol.)

Oh! I have a rec list for SCI this week! It's small I voted for a lot but only two really super stood out to me this week: zehlyah and bad_evil_echo [warning for the easily squeemish]

Today it's snowing. This is causing me to freak out since I can't shovel and I haven't had a chance to ask the neighbor kids if they'd be willing. :\

It's supposed to get in the single digits temperature-wise this weekend. Given my wonky no-thyroid fake metabolism, my body probably won't register it very much :p Plus there's something about heap-big-whallop-of-snow coming our way on Tuesday. I am SO DONE with winter.

We kept vigil on Tori last night after she dumped her guts all over the place late in the evening. Slept in late, fortunately so did she. Poor girl. But it comes with the job - after all, we can rub it into them when they grow up, especially if they have to do it for their spawn! ;)

I refuse to complain about the temperature after what snarkerdoodle has!

I am at work, and after several days of mostly hanging out and not ever using all of the time alotted, everybody is busy and I'm having to juggle bodies to get everything done. Figures.

We went to a wedding reception for one of my husband's kind-of-colleagues, which was nice. Though today is looking even more awesome with us (hopefully) looking at new phones for me this morning, and then this afternoon we're going to an open day where I'll actually get to see some improv in KL! This group doesn't appear to have performed the entire time I've been wanting improv in KL so I don't feel stupid for assuming we haven't had improv since, well, we haven't since I've been looking. Some of my comedy friends also appear to be performing judging by the timetable. I haven't been to comedy here since before I gave birth 5 months ago.

Spent this morning at Hogsmeade with a friend for her birthday. Tomorrow I'll be saying goodbye to another friend as she moves away. It's sometimes hard to correlate events in my mind, even when they happen in close chronological order.

As for Idol, I've entered the first poem I've attempted in close to ten years, and I might be freaking out about it a little bit. *hides under everything*

It is currently sunday where I am, and although I *meant* to do stacks of work on my intro yesterday, I ended up reading manga all day. And you know? it was great! I did little bits on the intro, which have helped with flow, and today I will get it finished, at least in draft version. And that is a pretty awesome outcome for the weekend!
