Green Room - Week 9 - Day 7
Jan. 18th, 2011 01:37 amIt's "D Day". OK. Technically it's Tuesday.
But around here that has started meaning that it's the end of the poll for the Main Competition http://community.livejournal.com/therealljidol/414212.html and the start of another for the people who are assembling, looking for another shot to get into it http://community.livejournal.com/therealljidol/414642.html
But the "D" should stand for "Dangerous"!
Or "Dreaded"
or "Dairy products".
Any number of things really.
Those of us who had the day off Monday are going back to the grind today. Making the doughnuts and shoveling the snow, escorting the man with the donkey through the valley to gather all the coffee beans, so that the skeptics in the trailer can have the walls fall away and realize that they have been kidnapped and are now somewhere unexpected, at the mercy of Dominos!
The rest of you may never have actually left your regular routine, or gotten back to it, and are now sitting on a mountain of gold coins you collected from going down every sewer pipe you came across.
But however you are spending your Tuesday, I hope that it's fun.
Or at least you survive it.
Unless I am marked as your beneficiary. In which case, do whatever you think you need to do! :)

Date: 2011-01-18 06:45 am (UTC)So far I've spent too much of my Tuesday cleaning up my four year old's poo :(

Date: 2011-01-18 06:46 am (UTC)Wanders in just before crashing into bed. Today was relaxing but still had work stuffs to do. Don't take such holiday's off in my job.
Doom, Daring, devilish, sigh, what to do with you Gary.

Date: 2011-01-18 06:50 am (UTC)UGH, picking up poo after human or animal is just ewww. Mind you I pick up after my dog as a course of life. But human poo is especially gross.

Date: 2011-01-18 07:11 am (UTC)However, there are much more pressing things that D is for
- Drafts (which is how I have spent my Tuesday day and it appears to be how I will spend my Tuesday night as well)
- the Dark Depths of Despair. Or at least keeping them back.
I think I shall go and make a cup of tea. Hopefully that will help!

Date: 2011-01-18 07:28 am (UTC)I was glad I didn't have to clean the underpants this morning (my husband did that)... but the latest pair I seem to be hoping they magically clean themselves :/ Maybe I should stick them in the bath water after figuring out how to get as much poo off as I can without getting it on myself.

Date: 2011-01-18 07:29 am (UTC)MLK Day was great. It's late; I'm pretty sure I'll have a great morning & the next time I'll see this thread it will be close to noon, if not after. But I might pretend....
Had a great morning...it's busy at work...there was no coffee in the pot so I had to make some...Had tons of e-mails in my in-box & this morning muffins were bagels, still awesome!
Hell, if my Tuesday morning actually sucks, I'll just go with what I just wrote.
Good night!! I mean Good Morning!! Hell, have both.

Date: 2011-01-18 07:34 am (UTC)Use toilet paper? Then soak 'em in a bucket with laundry detergent. That's what I'd do.

Date: 2011-01-18 07:44 am (UTC)And toilet paper is what I used for his bum, but I'm hoping I can use some sort of scraping tool so I can avoid the squishiness. It's not an especially nice consistency. :/

Date: 2011-01-18 08:39 am (UTC)1. I just woke up -- say less than 10 minutes ago. And I'm here. And I can type coherently. What does this say about me?
2. Shitty crappy ice/snow/rainstorm starting sometime this morning. I actually thought it'd be going on right now, but nope. Watch this, I'm going to have to drive home in the middle of it :p
3. I hate my Achilles Tendon.
4. I really need coffee.

Date: 2011-01-18 09:09 am (UTC)I thought you'd be in the same time zone as there. Wait -- you'a bit further east, yes?
:trying to picture a map:
Yeah, you are. No wait -- I'm thinking the Phillippines, whoops! It's too early for geography! My brain!

Date: 2011-01-18 09:11 am (UTC)Oh yeah, and I think Cambodia, which IS more East than us, was an hour behind us, too.
I repeat the not making sense part!
