Green Room - Week 8 - Day 6

Good morning and welcome to the WEEKEND!

I'm sure most of you have already gotten quite the head start on it! Or maybe you are still asleep, which, last time I checked, has never stopped someone from showing up in the Green Room anyway!

Today there is a lot on our plate - with The Main Competition deadline at 4pm EST today http://community.livejournal.com/therealljidol/409009.html and the deadline for people who want to sign up/jump on into the Second Chance pool being at 5pm EST http://community.livejournal.com/therealljidol/408328.html

It's more fun than you can shake a stick at, or would be, if you were the sort of person that shook sticks at fun! Maybe you are, and you will now go out of your way to prove that you can, indeed, shake a stick at this level of fun! But that seems to be more you dealing with your own issues than anything that concerns me! :)

Our weather here in the NW has been pretty "clement" so far. :) We are hoping for a little drizzle of snow over the next couple of days, though. That would be nice.

I am really looking forward to all of this reading I am going to do today! I have to have my first mammogram on Monday and I am really biting my nails with nerves at the prospect, so reading entries is a good way to try and keep my mind off of things. :)

I'm off to finish shoveling the 10ish inches of snow we got yesterday. There's at least 2 inches where I already went and we're supposed to get up to 3 inches tonight. Meh.

I just turned in a lab assignment almost a week late because I was SO SURE my next due date was on the 14th. Between that and just... family stuff going on, I didn't even think to check until today.

Turns out the 14th is the due date for two final projects and a final. Ehehehehe. This is me cursing my inability to keep dates straight. Chronological intelligence: I has none.

Hey there. We took the tree and all the decs down today. Kitties are sad, but humans are happy to take back the living room. There's always one holiday item we find in June laying around that no one saw, but the task is done. I'm ready for bunnies and tulips now!

Coffee. I really want a cup now, but I vowed off sugar for two weeks and my creamer is full of sugary goodness (though I will give in for a cup or two when the boyfriend is here tomorrow). So I will encourage others to drink away the yummy goodness!

I hate putting Christmas stuff away. Ack. I didn't decorate this year, but mainly because my giant dog eats everything in sight and it worried me with glass ornaments and hooks. Plus, all my decorations besides one box got left when I moved, and I spent the money I had on gifts instead.

I woke up sore, having not made it to sleep until 5AM. The sleep aids didn't work. Meh. And I still have to clear out the snow and make food and stuff. All these FWP's I've got.

On a side note, I'm surprised that there's still so few entries in given that the deadline is in about three hours. Barring a deluge it looks like it's gonna be a big week for byes and drops.

I think "post holiday" that it is likely. On the other hand there were 50+ people without byes left, and now we are waiting for approx 22 of them to show up. Could they all bye-out?
It's a possibility. Which would further shake up the game.

But that also tells me that the majority of them are continuing to hold on by their fingertips and fighting through. Which I love to see.

There are also *maybe* 6 drops due to the same sorts of reasons. (I say "maybe" because a couple of them might just move over to the Second Chance game, which means they are still gone, but they might come back)

This could be a huge loss. Then again, we've said that before and the loss hasn't been as big as we've feared.

Odds are though, sooner or later, that sort of hit *is* going to take place. It's a matter of when.

Good morning GR! I was almost awake at 6 AM and thought "NOOOOO!" it's Saturday, MUST go back to sleep. So back to sleep I finally went. Until 9:00. I needed it too. I've been tired all week.

I had a bad dream that something happened to my beloved Annabelle (see icon). Anyone who knows me knows that Annabelle is my baby (along with my kitty monster of course), so I have been taking extra time to cuddle with the beast this morning too.

Entry is in early, so no frantic writing. I'm nervous about the the polls, but for once, it is nice to be able to sleep in on a Saturday and to catch up on cleaning.

Oh and to figure out what nasty stuff is in my bathroom sink drain. I noticed it wasn't draining, went to clean it out and UGH. Nasty stuff is down there. Nasty stuff not from me either because I have no idea what it is. I seemed to make it worse too....so let's see if I can become handy today too.

Sorry, I like to talk a lot. I can't help it.

I slept in later than expected today, which means that I can't run any of the errands I need to run until later today!

If then! I guess we will see how many end up being put off until tomorrow. (based on whatever happens here in the next few hours)

Poor Dream Anabelle!! I'm glad the real one is OK, and got extra cuddles as a result!

Good afternoon, Green Room!

I've got some errands to do before 6pm today, and will probably go to the office for a while and make up for slacking off so much this week. I've basically given up on getting an entry written - bye-bye to my second bye! It's quite amazing what a breakup and a toothache in the same week can do to a person's creativity and concentration! Bleh!

On the bright side, I'll be able to enjoy reading entries and commenting without being distracted by how I'm doing in the poll myself! I'm quite looking forward to it!

Break up and toothache? Been there. Done that. Ran Idol at the same time. Up hill. Both ways. With snow drifts up to my neck, but still found the time to get it done!!!

I slept until 9:45 today, which is the equivalent of a normal person sleeping until three in the afternoon or so. MAN did that ever feel good. We are plotting a run later, hopefully, but the weather is starting to turn. Have to at least knock out an exercise DVD.

My car is broken, and will stay that way for another few weeks, so I was transit superstar yesterday. Train and bus to work, bus and train to downtown, train to haircut, bus to daughter's school, bus/transfer to another bus with daughter to DMV, train to store, walk home.

Maybe I don't need any exercise today!

I plan on making my exercise dancing around as I clean. Two things at once. Plus, it makes the cleaning more fun. I love exercise, not so much cleaning. I'm a weird one.

I can't wait for it to stay light longer so I can run after work with Annabelle. I love running and miss it dearly. It's such a stress reliever.

I haven't actually been in a green room in weeks so I figured I'd at least say hello. There's no snow here but it has been cold for Northern CA - it never got out of the 40's yesterday. Sadly I've given away most of my hefty winter clothes over the years so my one cuddly warm sweater is getting a lot of wear.

My entry is in, and I'm waiting to see what craziness the polls are going to bring.

I'm late to the green room today because my Internet went down last night. Waah ;)

In good news, I spent the last two days editing my music video, and have a completed version I'm happy with. Sent it off to the guys to see if they're happy with it, or if I should make any changes.

Oh yeah, and it's my (first) son's 4th birthday today! :D
