Slim margins is the theme of this week's results. There were some *really* close races. I think we are going to be seeing more and more weeks like this as so many people are stepping up their game.

In the regular, public voting - the two people leaving us are [livejournal.com profile] lordrexfear and [livejournal.com profile] green_goblin70, two people that I had hoped would manage to pull it out and last a little longer. Alas that was not to happen.

In the Death Match it came down to ONE VOTE - a bunch of people voting for both, and 6 of the contestants not casting votes at all. Which turned out to matter this week.

A change in any one of these elements and the results might be different. But that was not the case, and so this week we are also saying goodbye to [livejournal.com profile] techempage who wrote what was probably his best entry of the competition this week, or one of them, but fell by one vote.

The Sudden Death Challenge Winner for this coming week is again the person who came closest to being eliminated, in this case it is [livejournal.com profile] oceansedge.

[livejournal.com profile] evansmj has been challenged!!!

Oh boy, I sure didn't expect this. It should be a challenge, and I'll definitely have to put a lot of effort into making this the best entry possible. Good luck to you!!!

Wow. I'm getting some popcorn for this one. I expect some kick ass entries from both of you this week.

Heh, actually both you and jenelycam were pretty random selections... its tough this 'Death Match' stuff... there's no one I want to take out of the game.

I look forward to reading your entry, I think I got some ideas about mine.

I'm just so sorry one of us has to leave ...

Yeah, it is tough... do you go for one of the consistent leaders, hoping a great entry will take them out? Or do you go for someone who is struggling to get votes, thinking it'll be easier?

In the death match though, most people will vote for one of us, whereas they might not have voted for either of us in the main pool. (Then again, they might have voted for both, in which case we'll lose a vote we'd otherwise have gotten.)

All very strategic... but really, I'm just going to do the best job possible and let the chips fall where they may. If I'm kicked off, I'll still play the home game, since the goal was to inspire me to write about different subjects.

ya know, I really seriously thought about it.

Not because I wanted to 'take you out' - but some people might have thought that and it might have swayed the voting. You're a nice guy and well liked and I'd like to see you stick around a bit.

No I wanted to choose you for the challenge. You set the bar pretty bloody high my friend. It would have been fun and interesting to go manno a manno with you. But I'm not quite ready to go out myself yet.

Damn this strag-e-dy thing hurts my head.... be a lot more fun if someone didn't have to leave at the end of the day. I just don't have the cut-throatedness for this... so.. all I could do is throw a dart and randomly chose a name.

[livejournal.com profile] clauderainsrm... a thought:

myself and a couple others have kinda been flirting with the dangerous bottom 5 or so for the past couple weeks... conceivably, this could easily mean that the same person might see the 'next to last knocked off' more than once or twice.

Honestly I don't think my nerves could take more than one Death Match (at least until the final).

Can we limit the sudden death write offs to one per customer and ties?
