Good morning.

I had one of those nights with one solid dream that was so vivid that I'm pretty sure that I must have read it somewhere. Either that or I probably need to write this thing down just in case.

I hate those moments where you really aren't completely sure! Especially when you are so tired, that for few blurry moments, you aren't quite sure that it *isn't* what is really happening in your life!

Well, I guess that would depend on what *kind* of dream and how you felt about it happening! ;)

I went to bed last night at 9pm. And woke up wide awake at 11pm. Then I spent the rest of the night feeling like I kept dozing off and on. But I was dreaming, so I must of slept. Dunno.

I did get my butt out of bed by 7:15 and went to the gym. Surprised that it wasn't as busy as I thought it would be.

Still no clue what to do for this week's topic. Gonna work today and let it percolate in the back of my brain. Problem child project went out the door yesterday, and I'm on to another "should be quick and easy" one (although it's in thread) so we'll see.

Oh gods. Back to the regular routine of school and work - I just dropped my older one off. cheshire23 reassured me we didn't have to get up when I woke up this morning, so I rolled over... and then realized Oops! School! The rushing is done and now I settle back into a routine of housework and such - never what I imagined, but quite satisfactory nonetheless. My sleep had been off the whole break - this in a way is a welcome change.

That my entry is already up is also quite relieving :).

I'm hoping I can get the stuff I want to get done today, done early, so I can sit down with my book after. I'm currently on the Iliad, and I'm really not convinced it'll let me read it in a week. I'll try, but... Yeah.

The only good thing about the annoyances is that they deter me from having to write up the minutes from this morning's Sales Meeting, which is my absolute least favorite thing to do.

There was an email in my inbox this morning announcing a hiring freeze for the state. Again. Exactly the week we expected my husband to get a call to interview for a job he's awesomely qualified for, that they're having trouble filling, that he was directly recommended for and we thought was in the bag. The only thing less fun than reading that is going to be telling my husband about it.

If he has to work in retail much longer life's going to get very ugly around here. Please please let someone deem this position he wants "essential" so they can make an exception to the freeze! Pleeease?

I'm barely awake this morning. Thanks to java_fiend for checking in on me to make sure my iPhone alarm went off this morning and that I wasn't sleeping in again.

But leaving that warm, cozy bed was hard. I was snuggling with my sleeping babies (my cat and giant dog) and it was niiiiice.

The weekend needs to get here already!

I spent yesterday morning snuggling with my giant babies and it was pretty awesome. I wasn't quite feeling up to getting back to work yesterday so I took the day off. That means I'm playing major catch up today though. Ah well, the trade off was worth it!

My brother-in-law gave the hubby and I a set of 800 thread count Egyptian cotton sheets for Christmas. I put them on the bed two nights ago, and OHMYGOD *so* soft!! I don't want to get out of bed once I'm under the covers... they are silky soft without being slippery like silk is.

I want to go home and go back to bed right now just thinking about it, LOL.

I had a dream that I was kidnapped in a truck by intelligence agents and made to answer questions over the phone at which point they sent an investigator to the safehouse where they were keeping me hostage to ask me a bunch more questions and it turned out that I had a special immunity to a bacterium that had been cropping up in chicken. They invited me to live in France, all expenses paid, and eat chicken, purely for the purposes of isolating what in my system made me immune to this disease that was being spread via the French poultry supply (I guess it was like mad cow, but with chickens). Then I fell in love with the investigator, whose name was Frank. There was some part where a fictional ex-boyfriend (One who was only in my dream and not an actual one) got jealous of the investigator, and something about secret codes in song lyrics, but I don't remember that part in as much detail.

Trying to get back in the swing of things this week. It feels a lot harder than it's actually turning out to be, which is something to be grateful for, I guess. Bottom line is I don't wanna be at work :D

I have an idea...and I love it. But to do it the way I want, I'd need to go out on am adventure and I simply can't do that. Or I could but I have a boyfriend who's persistent I don't put myself in danger for an Idol entry :)

A night full of strange dreams indeed... Woke up feeling somewhat disturbed but unable to recall the specifics.

Ugh. First day back at work today and boy did it save up The Suck for me. It's one of those days where "violence in the workplace" seems justified actually. At least in relation to the folks I'm dealing with. Double ugh.

Other than that, just trying to get back into gear here... both with work, life and of course, Idol. Got somethin' brewing in my head for this topic that I hope works out like I want it to.
