Wow, what a week.

I don't think I *can* say anything, but wow. . .*g*

What you may or may not know though is that we are now *1* person away from THE HALF WAY POINT contestant-wise.

If you make it past one more person, you are half-way to winning!

Which is something that I *know* quite a few of you thought you would never be able to do.

Congratulations.

***

So, who are you enjoying reading that you're worried might not be around much longer without some good old fashioned hype?

Any Easter plans?

Who's sending me peeps?*g*

I think there are plenty of people who aren't getting the votes they deserve...most of them are towards the middle to bottom of the alphabet, so maybe that attributes. Who knows....

For Easter, I will be photography a birthday/Easter party for a set of quadruplets :) (They're getting a golden retriever puppy.) More cuteness than I can handle. I mean, you could had some bunnies, but really, lotsa cuteness.

What's Easter? ;)

Once this store had peeps at an obscenely inexpensive price. Like a $1 a box. No longer though. This was only two years ago too.

I was actually very surprised that after last week coming so close to be eliminated, I made it out of the gate. Not by much though.

I'll miss TheDemko, I need to remember to add him to my friend's list so I can read where he goes from here. I really found his style of writing fun.

I personally would hype everyone. There's not a single person who entered this who aren't giving it their all. I hope some of them have gotten what they wanted.

I wanted some new friends/readers, the chance to write more which i hadn't been doing lately and just a boost of confidence/ego and I've gotten that.

I'm going to have trouble writing on this weel's topic I think. It's a little too serious for me. I may have to really really play with it.

Here. Peeps.

And as for who I like that isn't getting attention, I've been continually impressed with [livejournal.com profile] oceansedge.

Wow,

I think that's the first time I've been mentioned, and I really appreciate it. I'm frequently embarrassed by just how good so many people in this thing are. It's been an honour to slug it out with 'em. :)

I have been noticing that while my votes for the most part have remained fairly consistent (and in my mind fair), I've been garnering a lot more comments the last few entries from [livejournal.com profile] therealljidol folks. Whether I stay or whether I get voted out, it really does mean something to me, that I've reached a few folks I never would have connected with otherwise.

I have to show this to [livejournal.com profile] the_original1. Of course, he might want to make it himself, just to be sure that your results were accurate, but I won't try it.

Just because I know there are creative gamers out there not on my F-list, I wanted to make sure you were aware of a need expressed by our service personnel in Iraq.

"Ziggurat Con - The World's First War Zone Game Convention"

http://www.gamegrene.com/node/790

Attention gamers. These gamers in uniform are in a war zone, planning a day-long diversion and probably more down the road. They need dice, minis, books and other implements of destruction.

Read the article and, if you have stuff to send, here’s the address:

SPC David Amberson
A Co 86th Sig Bn
APO, AE 09331

Or email: david.amberson (at) iraq.centcom.mil if you have questions.

My friend Stan received word from him the other day…

>> >>To be brutally honest, we are desperate for any books, dice, and
> >> miniatures we can get. We are trying to give as much to the soldiers as
> >> possible. Whatever you can send we would greatly appreciate. The only
> >> thing we cannot accept is the almighty dollar. We appreciate everything
> >> else, and look forward to hearing from you again.
> >>
> >> Thank you for all your support,
> >>
> >> David Amberson
> >> A Co 86th Sig Bn
> >> APO, AE 09331

My friends in the Uncle Slappy crowd are taking up a collection of material to ship over. If you can, send what you can to these guys.

Spread the word to your fellow gamers, please. I know there are game designers and publishers on this reading list. Certainly you have some material that can find its way to the supply officers?

Mmmmm.... peeps.

Actually, I like the Cadburry Eggs. A friend that worked third shift at a convenience store had a love of microwaving them (foil wrapper and all) for about 5-10 seconds and then going outside and throwing them as high in the air as he could, enjoying the resulting chocolate explosion when they hit the ground.

Some people are easily amused, I guess.

I know I'm a freak, but I love my black jellybeans at Easter. I got hit with diabeties last year, and the only candy I really miss are those damned jellybeans.

From: [identity profile] onyxblue1.livejournal.com
As long as you don't over-do it, you can still have those jellybeans. My problem is the over-doing it part.

I never liked black jellybeans, but [livejournal.com profile] the_original1 got mad at me for picking around them, so that they were all that was left. I started eating them, and they've grown on me. They aren't my favorite, but I'm not turning my nose up at them anymore.

I really wish you could easily port comments from one thread to another, but you can't. Hmph.

I'm moving conversation from the topic entry here, so's to make my life easier, in the long run. But I'm not correcting anyone's spelling or anything like that, so don't blame me for sentences that don't start with capital letters.

[livejournal.com profile] zebrapix said, "(EDIT TO ADD: The two contestants with nullifier powers CAN use them to nullify a challenge. In which case the challenged party would automatically be the person with the next fewest votes.)

"Not sure I understand this. So you can nullify a challege in the sense that if techempage says "I choose Kithan!" a nullifier can say "nuh-uh...NULLIFIED!" and the Challenged party becomes the person who got the person who had fewer votes than Kithan?

"Sorry...the person who scored fewer votes than Kithan."

[livejournal.com profile] clauderainsrm answered, "it will be a match up with the person with the second fewest votes."

[livejournal.com profile] zebrapix asked for more clarification. "Oh...sorry to be a pest, the nullifier can be used on the actual showdown, right? In which case the loser wins and the winner walks? Sort of a micro-topsy turvy?"

To which [livejournal.com profile] clauderainsrm replied, "no, the nullifer can't. But immunity CAN."

[livejournal.com profile] theevilbunny and [livejournal.com profile] evansmj asked about who had what powers. Currently, [livejournal.com profile] welfy has both Immunity and a Nullifier, and [livejournal.com profile] deyaniera has a Nullifier. TOPSY-TURVEY could come back into play if we have a week where not everyone gets there entries in, and we have to have a special vote.

[livejournal.com profile] taybar19 and [livejournal.com profile] evansmj suggested having a special place — on the communities profile, or on a separate page — for listing the special powers, who has them, and the rules for using them.

[livejournal.com profile] taybar19 asked, "Are you going to limit the number of times a Sudden Death can be issued during a season? If so, are you going to limit one per person, or have a set number at the beginning of a season." [livejournal.com profile] clauderainsrm had not yet answered that.

I think that's all of the questions. It better be, since [livejournal.com profile] clauderainsrm went and deleted all the extraneous stuff already!

OK, so we have one guaranteed elimination with the sudden death. Are we still going to have 3 regular eliminations, or will it be 2 and the loser of the challenge?

I really, really want a Cadbury Easter Egg, which is odd, since I don't recall liking them all that much. Something about the caramel and the chocolate. It's got my number right now.

Nah.... I think it's the crack. They add just enough crack to the mix to get you hooked and keep you coming back.

Just a note regarding my entry for the week.

As I said, I have really come to terms with most everything that I've been through. Therefore, feel free to ask me questions if you'd like. There is little that shocks me or that I am not willing to discuss if you'd like to know.

I have been a bit reluctant to open up my darker side and past but I feel that it's about time for it to happen. If you aren't going to like me for who I really am, I really don't have any business being in the competition.

Date: 2007-04-11 06:45 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] marjory.livejournal.com
Should it not be the point that if someone is going to be horribly judgmental of others (e.g. deciding not to like you for how you choose to represent yourself here, just to clarify) and use this as a forum to be like that, then they have no business being here.

As a confirmed coward myself, I applaud your bravery.
