There is still a poll going on http://community.livejournal.com/therealljidol/373611.html - and some entries to be read. Since they are all grouped together and thus we can't see individual statistics on what people thought of each individual entry - what was your favorite piece from each of them this week?

So how has the week treated you so far? What do you plan on doing this time *next* week?

Oh, right. I suppose I should read them, huh? I probably should've done that before reading everything in the Home Game. For some reason I haven't been feeling it this week :( I blame my hormones. They've been doing weird things lately.

No one else want to speculate what the countdown is for? I suggested the final poll in the last green room.

Oh right. I thought it would be for the "end of Idol" but you're right, there's another set of entries/polls to go... Hmmm...

Yeah, I think you're right about that.

I'm feeling kind of blech this week too.

At least we can both blame it on the pregnancy!

The countdown is for when one of the finalists has a mental breakdown over the stress. :P

I did notice some mysterious rustling sounds in my house when I awoke this morning...

Oh no, Gary! Not a countdown! :( I'm gonna cry. :'(

Asking me a favorite entry is like asking a favorite toe. Maybe if I go back and read them I can slowly knock it down, but there was too much I loved, and very little that I didn't. D:

I got back yesterday afternoon from spending two glorious days ALONE with my sweetie at the beach... something we haven't done for a couple of years. It was lovely.

And now I'm back to entertaining her parents for another week. I am the master of trade-offs.

Right I can only imagine. I'm like that, though. Makes me wonder if I could ever have kids... :\

Returned to work yesterday. Um, yeah...the less said the better. It's not pretty there :shudder:

I also have this weird desire to go hiking in some remote place all of a sudden...???

Ralph Nader et al have filed suit against the Maine Democratic Party and the DNC for unlawfully trying to bankrupt and sabotage the 2004 Nader-Camejo campaign. On Friday a justice in Maine will hear oral arguments! More here (http://punkpatriot.blogspot.com/2010/08/ralph-nader-files-suit-against-maine.html)...

I'm really excited about this suit and hope that Nader wins. It could be a major victory for third party candidates in general.

My week so far has been mostly quiet, but pleasant enough.

Iiiiinteresting. I had no idea that was going on. Obviously, I know nothing about the lawsuit, but I'd love to see some more action for third party candidates.

Yeah. It's going to be interesting to see how it plays out. I think that the two-party system we have going on is so broken beyond belief...

And then last night I am listening to Marty Markowitz on NY1 and he's talking about how there should only ever be the two parties and how anyone who wants to get involved in politics needs to choose one and start working their way up. And how it's worked for so long. And I want to punch my tv. But then I think "WTF? Did this man fail U.S. History? We have a rich history of third parties bringing about significant change!"

Your link to the poll leads to yesterday's GR, Gary. :)

It's a really tough pick, but I personally loved [livejournal.com profile] rattsu's "Back to Basics" and [livejournal.com profile] talonkarrde88's "Winding Down" the best.

Meanwhile, I have been mentally compiling a list of everything I must fix in my house prior to moving. The list is overwhelming, and involves lots of paint. We must hope that paint remedies all..... although I probably won't do that next week. Next week I intend to sleep, read a novel, spend time with my boys (possibly at the zoo), clean the house, and enjoy something completely silly. You know, all the stuff that's been falling by the wayside while I follow the last few weeks of an online competition...

I have about fifty things to try to catch up on today. Yesterday, my daughter wound up having an unexpected playdate at our house which slowed me down a little, but I was able to make some chicken francese and garlic chicken wings before the day was finished (albeit just barely). I'm going to try to get legal work done today and also make some pork wontons.

Er... haven't read the entries yet. Hoping to grab time to do so tonight!

The week is half over. 'Nuff said!

I haven't finished reading yet, so maybe it's not fair to say, but so far, my favorite is [livejournal.com profile] talonkarrde88's I've Got a Rock entry.

And by this time next week, I will be busy begging, cajoling and peer pressuring the finalists to submit their final entries in haiku.

What can I say? [livejournal.com profile] intrepia was on to something...

I haven't had a chance to read all of the entries yet. And I may not get to either :(

But that's because I am moving by Sunday. I have to have my entire house packed and ready to load hopefully by Friday since my traveling companion will be here on Saturday and I had hope to shop him around a little bit before we headed out.

So we shall see how much I get done. I may miss the finals and that makes me so very sad, but cross country move early next week coupled with no internet might make it a tad bit difficult.

I wish everyone the best of the luck in case you don't see me much over the next week or so!

*waves to the GR*...

Um..this time next week - packing up more boxes - it'll be exactly a week before escrow close date...so I'll be in a panic...but I'm kind of excited about moving into a house and being homeowners and all that jazz (well Carrie & Claudia will be homeowners actually)

Ah real life...OH yes..I should read them...while I have the bandwidth to do so...

This week has actually been pretty sucky for a number of reasons I won't bore anyone with. Still, we are going to do curry tonight and I have movie plans for the weekend. My plans for next week are to spend time with my baby, who is bound to have come out by then. Isn't he? Isn't he??!
