What do you mean you're not American or disabled? Hmmmm. *kicks you in the leg really hard* Now you've got one of them at least!!!

I'm pretty sure being addicted to Idol counts as a disability though! :)

I had a great weekend - saw Inception and Despicable Me, and ended up with a free pizza (that was worth more than the one we ordered) because Pizza Hut gave us such shitty service. I'm still bitter about the service.

Then I saw my doctor today, who decided it was okay to freak me out by suggesting the baby could come in the next week. theafaye and tamaraland have not yet had their babies, and they are due before me! Like, a couple of weeks before me! Oh, and to top off the freak out, my husband informed me his boss is sending him away on two more business trips in September. That's on top of the trip to visit his girlfriend and another business trip, also in September. So if anyone wants to come visit me in KL in September to keep me company, that would be lovely.

I have much more to read before voting yet. I'd have been done by now if I'd actually spent much time on LJ over the weekend, but I didn't.

What did you think of Despicable Me? We saw the 2-D version last weekend because we'd been told that the 3D version really wasn't worth it.

What did you think of Inception? I was quite impressed with it, and really enjoyed Joseph Gordon-Levitt - I've been a fan of his ever since Third Rock from the Sun. =)

Up too early to say goodbye to my in laws. I'm pretty sure that's legitimately disabling to my immune system. And I'm American, so, yay me.

So I'll be celebrating by sleeping the remainder of the week.

I sent out four query letters re my adoption memoir. Did everything via email. Will send more out soon. Might as well while I have enough summer days off. My mom said to go for it! She hasn't read a word and totally trusts me on this. Guess that says a lot.
Ya think I should do a big batch like ten or just do three to four at a time? Wloul it make any difference?

I don't think it matters if you do big batches of query letters or small ones. Are you sending them to publishing houses or to agents?

If you don't have slammerkinbabe on your Flist, she's busily working with an agent to get a novel published - you might ask her for some advice. Good luck with finding a home for your memoir!

My weekend was pretty good. I went up to the Ikea store in the Cincinnati area with Knight and minikin and her family, then afterwards we had dinner at Friendly's. Yum!

Tomorrow afternoon we've got a funeral to go to for a friend who passed away suddenly this past Thursday due to a heart attack. He was just my age - 42. :(

Yay, happy ADA day! Having had to invoke the power of the ADA earlier this year, I have to say that I'm so glad that it's around (especially after the last amendments in 2008!)

My weekend was okay. I had to work part of Saturday and Sunday due to an impossible work deadline - but I think we're gonna make it! And we were stuck indoors due to the Death Heat most of the time, although we did go out late last night for pizza and games.

I am now trying to make up for my sleep deficit.

My weekend was all about getting ready for, and then recovering from, the half-marathon I ran yesterday. I unexpectedly set a new PR (2:17:32) and am feeling better this morning than I thought I would. Well, so far.

My Monday consists of my annual physical, some errands, and really starting prep for my next show. Rehearsals begin on Saturday, I'm still short one cast member, and one person on staff I really need to talk to isn't answering my emails. meh.

My weekend was pretty great!

Spent Friday with amazingly cool friends, having a picnic and trying to fly tiny kites and exploring and being totally ridiculous. And then we went and got icecream.

On Saturday, I went to see Twelfth Night in the park with my gal pal. It was a super fun production and left us laughing a whole lot.

Yesterday I got to hang out some with roomie. It was low key and a nice "recovery day" after so much fun.

And my week is looking to be pretty awesome, too. Tomorrow I'm seeing Theodore Treehouse play (my favorite band), Wednesday I think I'm hanging out with cheshire23 and her family, Thursday I'm going to a party... SO MUCH AWESOME.

I guess that means today I have to do lots of reading...

Good Mornin' Y'all!!!

Had a WONDERFUL weekend hanging out with the absolutely amazing pixie117 who is in town for a job interview... going on now! So if you could fling some good mojo her way, I'm sure she'd appreciate the heck out of it!

Lots of laughs, fun and adventure... and lots and lots of sun. I'm a little crispy, but that poor thing is just toasted.

We spent yesterday down in Balboa partaking of the sun, sand, ocean, the ferris wheel, funnel cake and the BEST corn dogs EVER!. She was kind enough to indulge me. :-) And for dinner... some super yummy sushi. It's been such a great weekend. Coming back to reality sucks. Having to take her to the airport a bit later and saying goodbye sucks even more. :-( But hopefully, she'll have an offer from this company and will be back out here soon!

Second, this seems as good a time as any to share this, but I have a disability. Its a little hard to tell in most pictures, but I have a short, bent tail. It makes it look like I have five legs, as you can see in this flattering photo (http://pics.livejournal.com/joeymichaels/pic/000x55z5/g6).

I have not let this hold me back and even if my balance isn't as good as Gray Cat's, I can still get to most of the high locations to poach human food.
