They say you can't go home again.

Obviously "they" haven't watched ET. Or baseball. Or read the Odyssey. Because obviously it's possible, just very difficult. I imagine that it is much easier thanks to GPS.

This all makes me wonder if "they" have actually moved into your house when you aren't looking. So they are trying to discourage you from going there and finding them with all of your stuff.

Either that, or they are the people who design google maps. No wonder they don't believe you can find your actual destination!

Perhaps though, the lesson is "don't leave home in the first place". That would make sense. Then you don't have to worry about going back there.

Staying at home is good for refreshing polls!

I am getting ready to take my shower and go to work! Talk about just like old times... I've got an entry that counts, it's cloudy outside, and I'm about to take a shower then hope for slow times at work so I can dink around in the green room. :)

joeymichaels and theafaye are blowing my mind this week with their entries. zia_narratora continues to astound me... I don't know how she does it week after week.

And, really, everyone. At this point it's all excellent. It's way too much fun to be a part of it, even for this fleeting instance. A million thanks to fourzoas for inviting me back.

And thank you so much for the kind words. I really love hearing that people like my stuff. Learning to cartoon has been both challenging and fun and I really feel like I've improved a lot by doing Idol.

Hello. I had a good weekend. Spent some awesome time with awesome friends. Went to brunch. Walked in the rain. Made eggplant parmesan. Had some good conversations online.

Not sure what the week holds.

I need to go grocery shopping.

I went wakeboarding for the first time this weekend.

My muscles are not amused.

Extreme soreness and mild sunburn aside, I had a fantastic time camping with my friends and NOT poll watching this weekend!

Now that I've gotten home and read all the entries, I'm honestly hard pressed to pick favorites this week. I think most of the champions brought their A games. And in most cases this week, if I didn't like one entry in a pairing, I enjoyed the other. Either way, it was a lot of fun to see these mash-ups!

I'm having a busy Monday morning, talking to clients and the courthouse and about potential work opportunities. I'm trying to enjoy my time at home before I find someplace new to work.

I'm also in the midst of cooking up a storm, which is wonderful even if it causes a lot of dishes.

The hubby has agreed that we can plan our 2012 destination vow renewal, so I've been sneaking in some time to peek at dresses and cakes :)

The heatwave continues over here in Sweden. This is now the hottest summer since 1994, and yesterday was the hottest day. Today is worse, and tomorrow will be much the same. I had errands downtown today, and after walking 4 km, then swimming a kilometer, and walking 4 kilometers back I was soaked in sweat and cursed that the shower would not get any colder. Right now I think I'm melting, and it's not getting any colder...

I've read all of the Champions entries, and most of the contestants ones. There are some I liked more than others, but they were all quite excellent!

Tonight is bowling, which always excites me. I'm eating Moe's (junior steak burrito) for lunch, because it is Moe's Monday. It was a last minute change-up, as I'd originally brought a PB & blackberry jam sammich, but the sammich will keep just fine in the fridge (in a ziploc baggie) until tomorrow!

I'm not looking at the polls now and waiting for the results announcement instead. The baby has told me to stay away :oP

I've been awake since about 5am (it's now 7am) and will probably not get any more sleep now until this evening. We have someone coming round in an hour to finish off the work repairing the water damage to our ceiling and then I was going to take the children swimming this afternoon to get them out and blowing off some of that kinetic energy they insist on building up, but my son said last night that he didn't want to go and since he's been in the most peculiar of moods recently, I shall listen to him and stay home instead.
