I *have* seen some folks without official partners though who want to pair up with someone for a Home Game version. So if anyone out there is interested, there are folks looking for you!

If you are not interested, there are *also* folks looking for you - but for entirely different reasons!! You might want to avoid them until the angry mob of villagers behind them disperses.

I am still incredibly excited to see what other pairings might come up. Can we continue the thread of pairings we'd like to see in this green room? There weren't very many comments about it yesterday, possibly because of the lateness that it was posted. I'd already gone to bed :P

I... have a draft. And an idea for an entry for the topic I haven't written yet. Because I'm crazy like that. :D

Still have to take my iMac back to the shop, which will hopefully be happening very soon.

Good morning!

Let's see...in the last 48 hours I've survived not only a blackout, but also a rash of the nastiest customers I've ever seen. Then there was the older guy who tried to plow into my truck up at the 7-11 and screamed at me that I was in his way when it was plain to see I wasn't. Then there's the utter fear that my brain is literally melting through all this heat because I haven't done one iota of anything productive in the last few days...

Still a heatwave over here, though I apologize to any New Yorkers, apparently things are even worse over there...

We swedes are wusses when it comes to heat though.

Got myself a partner, and have the entry researched and planned. Perhaps tonight it will be cool enough to actually write the damn thing.

Also, is slightly toasty from swimming yesterday, I am actually something approached to tanned by now, instead of my usual yellowish hue I am pinkish and red.

Oh, it's awful over here. I'm in Boston, so the temp difference between us and NY is miniscule. When I was off work the other day, I was the only person I saw in my entire neighborhood who actually left their house :shudder:

I think everyone are wussies when it goes to the heat unless you live in Las Vegas/Nevada or in Arizona when it'll go up to 120 F during summer months...

Us?? We live in California - most Californians are really afraid of real weather - especially in the southern part of the state...(we're from that part of the state but live in the North)

I finished the artwork for my intersection! It will be interesting! I've never done anything quite like it before. That is the beauty of los intersecciones.

Time did NOT fly last night. I must have been cranky or something because it wasn't all that bad... it just felt like 3 hours lasted 5... and they weren't even fun hours. Ugh.

Anyway, on the same heatwave vein, it's hot here... yeah... I wouldn't want to work outside all day like my roommate does (he owns a fencing company).... but my big bout of good news is said roommate installed an A/C into my bedroom two days ago! So last night and tonight I actually slept rather well. :)

I went out once yesterday for a quick trip to Subway and thought it wouldn't be long enough to put on the A/C... Going THERE was okay because the car must have still been cool from my long drive home from school... But on the way BACK, especially being stopped in traffic, I had to finally relent and put the vent on, plowing hot air at my face felt better than the sitting heat. Ugh.

And this heat wave reminds me of the summer I spent in NYC back in 2006 when they were experiencing heat highs as well. The bed and breakfast that a friend and I split didn't have A/C and the subways were reported at 110°. >.> We spent lots of times at the local starbucks drinking frappe's! haha

I'm excited about my intersection partner. I need to come up with some ideas, though... Hmm...

I got to work on time today... and Temp BossLady is out at a meeting this morning. *sigh*

I had my quarterly endocrinology follow-up yesterday. On the plus side, I somehow lost 3 lbs since last quarter; on the minus side, my A1c went up a little. The result is that the doc wants me to do a 3-day continuous glucose monitoring, which means being hooked up to a wee little (but expensive) device sort of like an insulin pump that I'll have to wear for 72 hours, and it will automatically test and record my blood sugar levels every 5 minutes. Whee!

I'm open for Home Game intersectioning if anyone wants me...

I have two interviews today, getting the divorce paperwork signed and going to be contacting the company in CA that's supposed to be setting up my fourth interview. Busy, but pretty good day I'd say :)

Oh I should probably start writing too, huh?

I'm really early to my first interview of the day and checking in via my phone. This isn't for a real job in my field, just one to help me get by if the real one falls through (let's hope not!). The one later is for a real job too, but based in Philly. The job doesn't excite me nearly as much as the Cali one though...

I think I'm more nervous about my entry this time around than I have been for anything else since my partner is relying on me, and I haven't been in competition for something like 12 weeks! I hope it's up to the kind of standard expected this late in the competition. At least my partner is happy with it?

I'm actually in a position where I could write something and not be worried about getting it done, but because I haven't been in that position for a while I don't think I could even call myself a "home gamer." :)

It's going to be 100 in Portland today. That's a little much for the verdant Pacific Northwest. Eww.

Weird day is just weird. I'm going to blame yesterday's earthquake for the world being seemingly all askew.

You ever wake up inexplicably feeling all awesome, giddy and ready to conquer the world? But then you find that you're waiting for the Universe to step in, kick you in the nuts and walk away laughing and so you can't really enjoy that feeling? Hrrrrrrrmmmmmm....

In other news, woke up to cat urp all over my phone... which is infinitely harder to clean out of the keys than my frapuccino was.

Oh and I just realized that the deadline is Friday... which is TOMORROW!!!! F**k me sideways!!! I swear, I'm a total clusterfu*k today.

I am currently engaged in the semi-illegal act of drying my clothes on a rigged clothesline outside.

Doing my part for the environment, at the risk of a fine.

It is so warm out that they are drying almost as fast as if I had them in my old-and-needs-to-be-replaced dryer.

I live in Houston where 100+ degree temperatures are not known as a "heatwave"...but simply "summer". However it is unseasonably cool here atm with copious rain keeping the temps down.

I am free to collaborate if someone is willing to write with a guy who washed/timed out fairly early in the competition.
