So hi, everyone. Hope you are sleeping, or have slept, well. Pain is preventing me from doing that over on my side of the world, but, such is life. You get used to it after a while.

I am excited because the next person I'd had lined up to intersect with is still in the competition, and still wanted to partner with me :D And I even already have ideas :O

In negative news, just as I got my iMac working with all the files I needed from my old hard drive... it conked out again. So I have to take it back to the shop :( I would've taken it today but we had one of the worst thunderstorms we've had since I moved here, so my maid couldn't come and look after my son while I did that. Hopefully tomorrow!

I don't think people can partner with me, even if they wanted to, since I dropped out due to illness :( Oh, well. I'm sure the 9 remaining have already plotted out the wisest partners with whom to write.

I just discovered something. You know how in books/films, sometimes person A will be fondly watching person B sleeping, and they'll feel compelled to reach out and gently stroke person B's hair? And person B usually smiles in their sleep and it's all very cute and romantic?

Well, if you try this in real life, person B is quite likely to wake up screaming "SPIDERS!!" and slap person A's hand so hard they leave a bruise. At which point person A, being a cruel bastard, falls into uncontrollable laughter and ends up a sobbing mess on the floor.

I'm excited!!! 33 is my favorite number! I never imagined we'd make it to a week 33! I mean I should have known because of the loads of people we've had... But I don't think other seasons have gotten this far? I could be wrong.

Anyway, really excited, it's my "favorite" week this week! :D [ETA: And! It's a really cool intersection week!!! Now I'm doubly excited! XD]

My foot is doing terrible, for those wishing me well. It now hurts even without pressure on it. Hopefully that means it's healing and not getting worse, as I barely walked on it at all. I'm going to buy a wrap for it on the way to school, though. :(

Nope, you're not wrong. This is the longest season yet. It will probably be the longest season ever. (barring something completely unforseen in the future, pending there being more seasons of course - I never commit to them ahead of time. :D)

Gary, I have to say that doing an intersection this late in the game is a spectacular idea, especially how you set this one up.

It is hotter than heck here and humid. Ug.

Yesterday went to a day camp of 9 blind kids. It was fun. They think I set a good example for the kids. rofl.

The bus schedule has changed and I'm trying to adjust to leaving my house at 6:30 in the morning for work. Ug.

Off to Phoenix for a blindness convention on Friday. If anyone lives in phx your town is getting invaded by blind people and their guide dogs.

This is why I hated being at an all-girl's school growing up; every dance was Sadie Hawkins (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sadie_Hawkins_dance) (including Sadie Hawkins), and I've never been very good at asking folks out on dates.

In other news: we've returned from a quick-ish trip to GA, where we visited with family and friends, set off dangerous explosive devices, and wrangled a teething baby. tl;dr: I'm exhausted.

Carrie & Claudia put an offer on a house yesterday/last night - so right now - it's the waiting game in hearing back from the bank...

Dunno if they'll accept the offer - it's under the listing price, it's a foreclosure but other houses with the same model in that neighborhood are selling about what we're offering (and different models for less). But we'll see what happens...if other offers come in for more than we're offering - bank's gonna take that.

FYI - our friend who lost her home/apartment in a fire just found a new place, it's a 3 bedroom apartment in a safer neighborhood she used to be in, except it's further away from where she works. She moves into the new place this Friday... I know that several folks here have been asking about her...so I wanted to mention the good news...I really admire her - she kicks ass and bounces back like nobody else...

So it's been an interesting week so far...

I have interviews galore this week! None for the job I actually want yet. I am still waiting to move onto the 4th step for the Cali job....I am seriously so anxious, I can hardly handle it! They said I was moving on, so no reason to freak...but yeah, until I hear from them, I will freak out. Well, until I get the job, I will freak out.

Yay intersections! As much as I tried to convince the person that I suck and they should go with someone else, it appears I have a partner and will do my best to produce the most awesome thing I can since I am totally flattered they would ask to work with me! (BTW, you still can back out if you want to...)

I totally would love to see comedychick and kittymichaels partner up (I know she mentioned it to me, and she is working with an official contestant now too, which is seriously awesome). But I think those two would be fun together!

For some reason, I think notbatman and joeymichaels could be really fun together. It just randomly popped into my head as I looked at the remaining contestants. Then again, ANYONE with joeymichaels would probably be epic. Though talonkarrde88 could really be fun with Joey too. I think a team of guys could be very strong, one reason I suggested java_fiend to consider Joey as well...


Oh I have to say I would totally love to see onda_bianca partnered with someone. beautyofgrey would be awesome, as would notbatman I suspect.

rattsu and zia_narratora sounds fun too. I think they could really produce something awesome and would be a force to be reckoned with honestly.

fourzoas and rivermirage/alycewilson would work nicely.

theafaye and comedychick would be awesome, but I think Dom is already working with someone else and that will be pretty awesome too :)

mstrobel and oneonthefence could craft something breathtaking and beautiful I imagine. intrepia might also work wonderfully with Mandi I suspect.

Not that I am expecting this to happen, and think that unique mashups would be more interesting than anything I could probably come up with....just things that popped into my head as I sat pondering this stuff. I look forward to seeing who works with who!

What a fun twist!!!

I'm sure all of the real contestants are paired up by now, but I'm willing to play along if any homegamers want to! I wrote a big motion today and a bunch of other court papers, so I'm feeling accomplished. I have to get my siblings from their basketball camp in a little bit and then it's an afternoon of housework for me. If I can get the house stuff done that I want, I'm hoping to update my spring trip report!
