Welcome to another green room.

Man, what a week!

Not just personally, but also in this contest. Everyone hit pretty well - some better than others obviously - but I think there were a lot of them hit out of the park.

[livejournal.com profile] bettybaker established herself as a major player!!! That was a shocker to see her with more votes than the usual crowd.

I see a lot of people stepping up their game - and I see some that I worry might not be fighting as hard as they can, just waiting until the drop off the bottom. That's the way it always seems to go. But hopefully everyone will stick around as long as you truly can - and even if you do end up eliminated, that you keep hanging out in the Green Room!

Thanks to everyone who emailed me, or commented in various places to let me know you were thinking of me. I really appreciate it.

So - what's going on with you guys???

I told BB she wins at Internets

[livejournal.com profile] bettybaker totally deserved to rock the vote with her entry, and I may have helped her vote count along by posting part of it to [livejournal.com profile] metaquotes

Occurs to me I can't use that tactic to help my own total, as the community forbids self-quoting. My posting late this last week seems to have dragged my tally down. Oh well.

I think you won me the Internets, dude. Although, I must admit- the power of topsy turvy was freaking me out. Oh man- thank God no one used it!

I was scared by the topsy-turvy, too. I'd hate to be an inadvertant agent of your destruction. Was even scarier when I noticed that gnomeangel, who has the power, was very low on votes.

I missed the memo. Nobody's ever used pronouns about her until your last post, so my gender-biased mind just jumped to conclusions!

I'm having a hard time coming up with a suitable response.

Do I write like a guy? Should I start (please say no!) squeeing, or something similar? I'd dot my "i"s with hearts, but that doesn't transfer well into type.

I suppose, really, that if it's not obvious from my writing style, that's a good thing.

Or maybe it's just that you've never actually bothered to read anything I've written.:-P

Oh, and that's not the best picture I've ever taken, in that icon, but hopefully it's girly enough.

No offense intended, seriously! I'm just real oblivious to things.

I'm really not offended. I'm strangely amused. But I never thought it wasn't obvious. I know I tend to be a bit cryptic about myself and my family, because I'm paranoid about people I know in real life finding me online and pestering me (because they don't have anything more interesting to do, you know), but I didn't realize it was that bad. Maybe if I put more references to knitting, cats, and Alan Rickman in my posts?

Plenty of dudes - and plenty of dudes on my friends list particularly - knit, own cats, and moon over Alan Rickman. I don't know how I got it into my head that you were a guy, but now that I know the truth I feel stupid for not picking it up sooner. I'm just dense, is all!

It's not a pronoun (http://community.livejournal.com/therealljidol/32435.html), but I think it got the point across well enough.

Yes, I am a bit miffed.:-P

I am proud to say that [livejournal.com profile] bettybaker is my friend!!! That was a serious rockin' entry!!!!

As for me....I am bleh. I appreciate everyone who is voting for me, but alas I may fall prey to the popularity aspect...again, bleh.

I've signed up for a walk-a-thon, so if anyone wants on my diet and exercise filter, let me know. For that matter, if you want on my friendslist, let me know. I like all y'all this week.

Also, today I was naughty and I ate a Reese's Peanut Butter Cup by way of celebrating this week's voting goodness.

*waves back* o/~

They are, and folks were terribly impressed with them. Although all I did was wrap a miniature reeses peanut butter cup in regular old chocolate chip cookie dough and bake as normal.

2 dozen of em disappeared at the office before lunch time.

Man, I thought for sure I was getting voted out this week. But somehow I made it through alive, so thanks to the mysterious few who kept me in this thing.

[livejournal.com profile] bettybaker rocked the Intarwebs this week. Absolutely gorgeous post.

Sorry I sorta let it go til the last minute. I appreciate the support I received for what I really thought was a craptacular entry. This week will be better, I promise.

Congratulations then to [livejournal.com profile] bettybaker!

As for what's going on with me, well, half of my family appear to be even more nuts than I thought they were and I am on my hols (at home, but not working for a couple of weeks). Same old, same old!

I must admit.... since I finally got the immigration paperwork filed last week I'm in a terribly sappy mood.

This is not necessarily a bad thing, but this is not a new thing. I think my friends list might dry up and blow away if I don't knock off with the moony eyed stuff soon.

What web am I spinning?

For a week that was essentially unplanned, I seem to have gotten busy quickly.

But first, let me say that [livejournal.com profile] bettybaker's entry was so cool, I was making sure that friends who do not, ordinarily, read all the entries [I know, shame on them], took the time to read it. Whether that contributed to the vote count or not, I dunno, but they loved it too. So, definitely enjoyed by many... as it should have been.

Let's see... I have delivered a corset, directed a photo shoot, shopped for fabric (found 7 yards for $3.00 US), took my photographer to lunch, and had a consultation to dress up another corset I made a few months ago.

Tonight I see Evanescence, tomorrow my younger son starts college (while still going to high school), and I begin work on two more corsets.

I think I have finished my entry for the week, but I am taking a real chance with it, so I am working up the courage to post it where anyone can see it.

I may as well use this forum. This has been a boring week so far. All I've managed to accomplish is post a ton of my photos I took on Saturday to my FLICKR account (http://flickr.com/photos/rhcooper/) as well as work on its layout.

I'll admit I was actually surprised by the lack of votes I got based on the commenting and praise I received on my entry this week. I don't know... luckily... I don't care, as the post itself expressed.

This week I've a little lost on the writing. Only because it's such a proud subject and hard to pin down to one thing. My life has never existed in just one "greatest joy" or one "amazing, wow, moment" or one "wow, what a dumb mistake".

AND NOW THE IMPORTANT PART/QUESTION PERTAINING TO LJIDOL
I'm wondering what the rules on combining topics is... as it seems these two could be interchangeable, combined...

and I do have something I could write about that I've written about I think in my LJ but can never remember (since I don't use the tags or memories thing like I should... one day I should go to Day one of my journal and add tags and memories and edit and delete whatever entries don't work... one day.)

I have to say that I officially love [livejournal.com profile] bettybaker for almost mentioning me in her LJ prayer entry. Now I will attempt to assimilate her into my friends list. ;)

Date: 2007-03-28 05:36 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] bettybaker.livejournal.com
*chuckle* It was sort of an indirect mention, wasn't it? And I never resist assimilation- it's futile, isn't it?

What's going on? Life is craaazy (work, kids, net!drama)! But fun, in the end. I'm glad to still be here and enjoying getting to read all kinds of wonderful posts.

And this week was perhaps the most fun I've had writing for one of these topics. I had a real blast with it.
