I'm not really sure what eventful means right now lol

Anyway - I'm pretty happy with my story considering I got distracted with Criminal Minds videos until an hour before deadline 0_0. I think it's a record, even for me.

My life just isn't the same anymore since I got Twitter.


And on Sunday we have anticipated elections because the government fell a couple of weeks ago and I have no clue who to vote for. Voting is mandatory so I have no choice. Boo.

I am on my company's 9/80s summer schedule, where we get every other Friday off. This Friday is one of those days off, and I wish I could just lounge around. No such luck!

I have also, regrettably, not been able to get my butt out of bed on time. I've gotten to the office "on time," but not nearly as "on time" as I would like. Maybe a weekend of sleeping in will do me some good (knock on wood).

Was expecting this week to go as a snails pace but surprisingly it's going fast - not complaining though.

Carrie's waiting to find out results of three interviews - they're all for long term contract jobs with same company/client which we've done a lot of work for in the past. We could use a job.

Good morning! I have been swamped with work through the weekend and for the first half this week, so not in the GR so much. But, it's Wednesday, my favorite day of the week!

The only thing that stands out to me right now is that my hard work over the past year, and indeed my career/employment has the potential to be completely eviscerated by the Senate tomorrow. Talk about feeling out of control.

Well, that, and, looking at the poll this morning, I halfway wish I'd used a bye. ;) However, I'm trying to hold on to those for the people/times that really call for them.

I kind of wish I could "bye" out of real life this week. :/

I was woken up earlier than I wanted to be by the sound of a chainsaw. And I thought "Well, I know I'm back in Maine."

Luckily I managed to go back to bed and get a reasonable amount of sleep.

May have a part time job lined up to start mid-August. Have been looking for apartments. Have been trying to enjoy my days as much as I can, since there's only so much time I can spend worrying and stressing out.

Need to read about 15 entries or so.

I had yogurt this morning. I'm hungry. But my upper incisor is bothering me, and feels a tad loose. I know from seeing my regular dentist a few weeks ago that it has some serious damage to it. Right now, I don't want to eat anything too crunchy or sticky because I'm afraid the tooth will come out... blah.

I have an appointment tomorrow with an oral surgeon to see about a possibe implant. Right now I'm just hoping the tooth will hold out until I see the doc tomorrow! It's annoying me because it feels loose, and it is making my slight lisp a bit more noticeable. Argh.

I got up early to make whipped cream this morning, because my coworker is bringing in peach cobbler for breakfast! :D

This week at work has been awesome. Someone above me in the department is leaving, so I've been given a bunch of my own accounts to help cover the workload. Huge opportunity for me to learn and to prove myself.

And even better, I've been invited to TWO brainstorming sessions this week. That's not part of my usual job - it's part of the job I ultimately hope to have (copywriter for Creative Services), so I'm super excited! This morning, we have a three hour session to come up with a name for our newest product, and tomorrow, we have a two hour session to work on a brand concept for another product.

Think creative thoughts for me! :D

2nd day of class and my teacher called me "pretty bright". Oh man, how I missed being the teacher's pet, those were the days. *g*

I get to sing Somewhere, Over the Rainbow in the key of Eb, even though that's about one octave out of my comfort zone she said I can do it, and should do it, and it's even better that it's not what I'm used to because that's what learning's all about.

Still think I'll muck it up when I have to stand in front of 15 other people trying not to shake or forget the words or something. Ack!

Okay, time to mingle. I haven't read anything yet, but I was going to do that either tonight or tomorrow sometime. :)

It's 3:30am. I'm catching a taxi to the airport in half an hour and hoping the airline will let me on my plane to the Philippines because the doctor's letter I have might not be good enough for them, and I'm 30 weeks pregnant. I set my alarm for 3:40am but have been awake and trying to go back to sleep since 2:30am. I have too much on my mind right now and thought maybe if I got up, it would help clear my head.

That's what stands out for me right now :)

Not much to report on from this end of the planet. My son has glasses and looks adorable in them. My husband is home sick, which means that I can leave children with him while I take other children to where they need to be. Terribly exciting in Thea world right now!

The ever-beloved deza mentioned this in her LJ as a signal boost, and although it's late in the day, hopefully people are still reading.

One of LJ's own aqeldroma lost everything, including her birds, in a fire.

The Red Cross has put her up in a hotel for the week.
