Week 25.

Hopefully it doesn't feel as long (work and RL wise) as Week 24! On the other hand, if it's over before we know it, then there's not enough time to enjoy it. (or punch it in it's face for that matter!!!)

That's always the dilemma. Trying to get the most out of your time, without it being *too* much taken!

My weekend was ok. More work, less play. More heat, less A/C.

Weekend was awesome, went to Avignon (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Avignon) with husband, son and in-laws, had a spectacular hotel room (http://www.avignon-grand-hotel.com/). Took a day trip from there to Montpellier, where we took our son to the aquarium (http://www.aquariummarenostrum.fr/), and then for a run on the beach.

It's only 14:30 and I've already finished everything I had to do today and am bound to accomplish some retail therapy this afternoon. It's all looking pretty good! My entry is even posted!

There's never enough time on a weekend, that's for sure. Mine was good in spite of all the crazy rain. Today is my last grad school class till late August, guys! My final is complete except for updates and asides, which we are allowed to add in during tonight's class. As of 6:30 PM I will officially be at Bachelors plus 15! Mios Pizza for celebrating the half way point tonight! Yay! AW

Very surreal weekend. One BIL/SIL, out of the blue, put their house up for sale. Little nieces and nephews aren't so little anymore. We're still under a "boil water for drinking" advisory -- at least now we can bathe/wash dishes, thank god! Met up with some internet friends in town last night.

And tomorrow I'm meeting up with baxaphobia and imafarmgirl!

My weekend was AWESOME. And TERRIBLE.

But now I'm sick and I really want to not be at work, but my boss thinks we have too much going on for me to leave... so I am just not really doing work right now so at least I sort of feel like I left early.

The weeks screamed past when I was working. Now that I'm unemployed and each waking moment is a reminder that nobody's called me for a job interview yet... time's gotten a little slow. Argh. Argh!

On a plus side, I wrote my Home Game entry! Where's the post so I can show off and be an attention whore?!

On another note! Today I get to hang out with my ex-coworkers from my most recent job. We're meeting at the cracker barrel at 11. It will be tons of fun. :D

I have to go shopping, like, yesterday, but I keep putting it off, so I'll probably do that today as well.

Another week... meh.

My weekend was pretty good though. Lots of time by the ocean. Lots of good conversations with friends. Went to a UU service yesterday morning and it was so nice... warm, welcoming, uplifting...

Ready for all of that stuff to be the norm and not the exception.

I stayed up too late again - and came in to work early. I've had about two and a half hours of sleep. I am getting way too old for this.

On the plus side, I had a lovely weekend to myself. Did some housework, did a lot of reading, and took long, luxurious baths each day. I could use a few more weekend days...

Yeah, my home game entry is written. It was a hard topic being that I'm just not into punching out people. I was up too late trying to reason with an onrey printer though. Felt like really punching that little HP-SOB! Thank G-d Hubby fixed it this AM though.

I am so not ready for Monday. :| My weekend was okay. In honor of my LJI entry for last week, I took the boys skating, and put rollerblades on my feet for the first time in 15 years - I actually remembered how to skate and did not fall down, go boom.

But then my allergies attacked me and I feel like I've been punched in the face. Too bad I can't carve a decent entry out of that!

Weekend was alright...weather was gorgeous out...didn't really leave the house until last night...for a last minute BBQ at a friend of Carrie's.

I know that Carrie has phone calls to make...not looking forward to most (it's the follow-up I'm dreading)

Weekend? Hmmm... got a haircut (yay!), spent almost 600 bucks on my car (boo!) went to brunch at a friend's house, spent time talking with a bunch of people of a blurred genders and persuasions and again realized how cool Portland is,packaged up some cupcakes, ran, etc.

Etc.

Some writing would be good. I should try that sometime.

My weekend was pretty good other than the sodding RAIN! minikin and I tie-dyed some t-shirts for our bowling league (any excuse to tie-dye is a good excuse) but the shirts were still soaking when I left (the instructions recommend letting the dye set for 4-24 hours) so I don't know how it looks as yet, other than it will be dark pink, purple, and turquoise in a swirl pattern. Our team name is "The Bowlers Who Say Ni!"

Tomorrow, Knight and I leave for the North Carolina coast (the Outer Banks region) for our anniversary vacation. May 8th will be our 17th anniversary (yes, we're old) - w00t!

I have been MIA from lj for a while now... but I'm trying to come back, so here I am!

I, for one, have had a *Fabulous* weekend! On Sunday I met a really nice guy at church who flirted with me and gave me his number while we talked with the pastor about a question we both had and couldn't figure out on our own about church membership in general. It was kind of surreal, and we made plans to meet up next week, sit together, and he's going to visit my Sunday School class. Never been in a situation like this before, so it was a huge boost of confidence that I've been needing lately.

Then I've been working on penpal letters, and catching up on my DVR, and talking to two of my best friends who I've not talked to in several weeks, and got a random text from an old college friend with just the piece of advice I was needing right then. She has GREAT timing!

But now it's Monday. And I'm working - homeschooling, laundry, meal plan, cleaning, etc.

Weekend was good. Saw the new Nightmare on Elm Street. I enjoyed it overall... in a killing time/brain candy kinda way. Not a great movie by any stretch of the imagination but a decent diversion if you're so inclined. But you'd probably do yourself a service by waiting for it to come out on DVD. :-)

In other news, I'm trying to break the grip of inertia...
trying to learn to not be so disappointed when some folks (like your family) don't live up to even the rock-bottom expectations you have of them... and trying to decide if my Southern California accent is too thick to permit me to teach English in Arizona.

It's been a strange weekend. We flew home on Saturday to find my husband horribly I'll with the flu. A combination of sickness, jetlag, and overwhelming work to get done led us to have a bad argument on Sunday morning. By noon we were back to normal. I did a ton of grocery shopping and laundry, made soup for dinner and put some pork in the crockpot so we could have pulled pork today, and was fast asleep by 8:30 pm last night.

It's Tuesday here and I had a very productive Monday yesterday. I got through to Inland Revenue and have answers to all the questions for my first tax return, I spoke to the lady who teaches the home school group and we have come up with a very good idea to help my little guys fit in (including offering to come to our home when the baby's born for classes) and I've done all the work on my daughter's home school application. I'm just deciding whether I can be bothered to redo the topic section, which was based on what I did for my son last year. It wouldn't be difficult but it does involve effort and I'm all for keeping effort to a minimum right now. Combine that with being hit by inspiration and banging out my Idol entry in short order at the weekend and I'm on a ROLL! This morning we will be doing the fruit and veg shop and I'm going to be working more on the books I'm hoping to get done within the next couple of weeks. Hopefully, there will be two-three more books out before the baby's born with another one or two in the pipeline.
