Immunity was not an easy thing to come by this week. Once again, it was a 4 way tie!! So it went back to the jury who ranked their preferences. Which resulted in two two-way ties. :D

That last vote though put one person over the edge *by a single point of ranking*

Man, this has been a crazy week!! And the "Idol week" isn't over yet!!

Plenty of ups, downs. Plenty of times when I've been Right. Plenty of times when I've been Kevin. (That *is* the opposite of "right" the last time I checked. :p)

Going to a KY Derby party tomorrow afternoon; it was going to be a cook-out, but since rain is in the forecast the hosts are going to make a pot of chili instead.

After work today I'll be getting together with Former BossLady, whom I haven't seen in a few months. We'll be meeting at Starbucks (yes, we're both addicted). Her mom's cancer is back and the prognosis is poor, which is sad and most definitely Kevin. =(

I'm having a rough day. My youngest son broke a baby tooth last night, and today we had to make an emergency trip to the pediatric dentist 40 miles away, where we ended up having it extracted. And of course, if it wasn't traumatic enough, because of managed care (uggh!), I had to pay for it all out of pocket. I hate Aetna.

As a plus, he had laughing gas and novacaine and didn't feel a thing, so he is fine.

In other news....I would love feedback on my entry this week. And of course, I will send cookies for votes. ;)

I'm substitute teaching again. High school algebra today. The day is dragging on though because they are testing and it's really calm and rather boring since they are actually pretty well behaved (watch the next class be horrible now that I've said that).

This weekend was supposed to be full but tonight's girls-and-kids game night has been cancelled due to one of the kids having surgery today and Sunday's birthday party has been cancelled because of the same kid's surgery so he can be there too :) So that leaves me with my godson's birthday party tomorrow, and hopefully finally some sewing!

Just returned from the Tower of London for our final day of touring London- it was incredible.

I'm slumming it at the bottom of the poll, which is terribly unnerving. It will be awful if I get voted out tomorrow on my day of travel and have to wake up to it Sunday morning :(

My hotel wireless is being kind to me! At least kind enough to read, but it keeps dropping out each time I try to post a comment. (Gonna copy this before I hit post, I have learned my lesson!)

Today I spontaneously hopped on a train to a nearby city just because I felt like exploring more of the region (and the city I'm staying in is not that exciting). I found shopping heaven! And now I am eating wildberry panna cotta flavored yoghurt which is even more delicious than it sounds.

I'm staying busy trying to finish a project that has to ship on Tuesday and more yarn just arrived today for a project that will need to ship by end of next week. Eek.

But, in a few hours I'm going to put it all away and not worry about it. I'm going on another date, this time to the drive in (love seeing 2 movies for $4 per person). Tomorrow I'll be out all day, but I'll be able to get some work done at my meeting in the morning. :)

I am anxiously awaiting 4 o'clock so I can... not be here anymore. I'm ready for a weekend. I'm hopefully going to go numb my brain with a viewing of Nightmare on Elm Street this weekend.

Other than that... a little yardwork and a lot of stressin' as I'm barely hanging on by my fingertips at the bottom of the polls. *yikes* I thought I'd be okay going but... I'm actually not ready yet! *fingers crossed*

My day went okay. I put one of my students on "eraser probation." I had my kids make a clock bingo game and told them they were making it because I didn't want to go to the "Bingo Store."

I also helped a girl realize that in her writing, she shouldn't say "cried like a little girl." It was a very teachable moment where we talked about what that implies and how not to downgrade ourselves. We then thought of better similes. She ending up saying "squealed like a guinea pig". Perhaps the guinea pig advocate wouldn't much like it, but I sure did. ;)

On behalf of the guinea pigs across this planet, I find that description revolting and completely degrading. To denegrate the noble guinea pig like that is cruel and callous and you shall be hearing from our attorney very, very soon! Don't mess the the Guinea Pig Nation!!! :-p

It does sound like an awesomely teachable moment. Very, very awesome. Sorry that you had to slap the troublemakers with eraser probation. ;-)
