Results - Week 23

Roses are red
and today just kind of sucks. Every elimination day does, but the more you get to know people over the course of the competition, the more of an impact it has.

But even the people leaving on Week 1 weren't exactly easy to say goodbye to.

I saw people point out that this was a bad week for poets. I'd say it was a bad week for VETERANS as well.

The jury gave immunity to pricelessone this week, giving her a chance to fight another day.

The 3 contestants who are leaving us - and becoming a part of that jury who will be making that decision on who gets immunity over the next few weeks are

So on one hand it's sad to lose them. On the other - there is the Home Game *and* their influence will still be felt as part of the jury!!

Seeing your name produced another frowny face. The last time I checked the poll was Friday morning at which point you seemed to be doing okay. I said it before and still believe it...writing poetry for Idol=badass. Kudos for doing it even as we were approaching the end...:)

Reporting for jury duty.

Honestly, I had so much fun writing my entry this week I wouldn't change a thing.

So screw being sad - let's have a party! There's a tray of assorted cookies somewhere for the folks who want sugar but the main table is full of salty. Ruffles and Fritos and Cheetos, peanuts and pretzels and popcorn, along with assorted dips. Grab a handful and chow down!

Also, I cannot believe the company I'm in. I would have expected both of you ladies to far outlast me. I'm honored, and flabbergasted. And looking forward to seeing if anyone else attempts poetry for the rest of this season.

Seriously? Can't believe this. Your One Touch entry remains one I think of often - I finally had to go looking through your entries to favorite it so that I could always find it! Who knew a One Touch entry could touch me so deeply? ;)

Love all your theatre stories - you can't make stuff like that up! (Yes, I'm thinking about The Caged Bird which I stumbled across in looking for the previous entry.)

I am right there with nannerz2cool (we are twins after all) in saying that you are absolutely amazing and your One Touch entry is one I consistently think of, even with all these weeks that have passed. So very poignant. Absolutely love theatre stories, as well. I would have loved a whole season of theatre stories!

I wanted to tell the three of you that I think that you are all stellar writers. I'm definitely going to miss you! Especially supremegoddess1, for your badass attitude - I still remember you intersection with joeymichaels and how it gave me chills, but also the fact that you weren't afraid to write anything.

Also, imafarmgirl, I can honestly say that I've never consider how to treat a prolapsed duck penis, but your true wit came to light in discussing how the world perceives you through your blindness, and how very far off those perceptions are!

And beeker121, I have to echo the sentiments of others - your "One Touch" entry is one of my earliest favorites from you.
