The weekend was good. This week is off to a bad start however. Big fight with SO and too much stuff to do.

Plus I was up at 5.30 AM with my little one explaining monsters do not exist (thank you very much Playhouse Disney's *(&^%&*% Bali)

Good morning!

My weekend was pretty good. Went to The Chip Shop yesterday and got to enjoy some nice chips, cheddar and onion croquette, and treacle pudding with warm custard. Damn I love warm custard. I also applied for 5 more jobs. And I got some sleep finally!

And, this morning, on the train, I finally got an idea for my entry for this week. So now I have that to work on at some point.

This morning, I have a training seminar to help present. I'd rather not, but that's how life goes. I also start my first day in my new rotation (which is actually my old rotation since I already did it before).

Huh? Announcement? Well, this should be interesting.

I'm rather annoyed at present because I had a power outage today that corrupted several video files I had spent HOURS importing to my computer from VHS tapes. I had to fetch two from the bin in case I can't un-corrupt them. :(

On the bright side, I am getting time to play Final Fantasy XIII like I wanted. My son already knows all the character names and keeps asking me questions about them. LOL.

Booo power outage!!!! My boyfriend is all twichy about that sort of stuff and has hundreds of dollars worth of battery backup power protectors connected to every computer type hardware in the house. I don't think we've had a single blackout yet. XD

I slept in a real bed last night and it was mine. :) Yes, I'm deliriously happy about that. Furniture tetris still goes on here, all while trying to complete a project, prepare for teaching on Wednesday, and prepare for a quick business trip on Friday.

Oh, and I went out with a friend on Friday, hung out with same friend yesterday, and have plans to go out again when I return from my trip. We're both on the same page of seeing where this will go but taking it very slow. It makes me smile. :)

I had a wonderful weekend with lots of tasting of liquor and foods and belated Easter celebration, but then coming home last night, I pulled something and now my back hates me. Ouchie.

My weekend was wholly unproductive, although I did get some TV watching in - loving this new Netflix instant on the Wii...finished season 2 of Torchwood, seasons 1 and 2 of The Tudors, a documentary on Fred Phelps (short version: he's a nutter. but we knew that already), and a fairly bad lesbian-themed movie (The Watermelon Woman).

Let' see...I sustained a rather large burn on my inner forearm at work on Saturday. It's superficial, but the size of it, I think, squicks out everyone who's seen it. Didn't even sting when I took a shower, which is interesting.

Other than that? Today's both a state holiday and Boston Marathon Day, so everyone and his brother is off work, including me :)

My weekend was interesting. Some really bad stuff happened, some really good stuff happened and I guess it all evens out somehow. Maybe? Who knows. I sure don't. All I know is it probably will get worse before it gets better.

Didn't sleep too well last night - I was in bed around 12:30, and I think I fell asleep around 1:15, argh. Might as well have just stayed up!

I'm having some job issues - my responsibilities have always been to my team, P5, and for over a year now I've been helping out P8 as well, mostly by doing case listings, monthly reports, and some case plan entry. The only things I hadn't been doing for them were their phones and their Foster Care Review Board cases. NOW, I'm responsible for all of that too, because the state has no budget and they won't hire any more secretaries, so all of us are responsible for TWO teams worth of stuff, but of course we're not getting any increase in pay. Argh.

Seriously, they need ME more than I need them, but BigBossLady is being all hoity-toity about it, and getting on my Very Last Nerve. Blargh.

My weekend bordered on EPIC.

On Friday I grossly overindulged at a German restaurant with my favorite people for my birthday.

Saturday my five year-old and I finished a video game we were working on together and then went out and had a proper Adventure! Then a more subdued dinner and games with my favorite humans again. (Marred only by the presence of Trivial Pursuit. I hate that game so bad!)

Sunday was a prolonged family outing, followed by a nap. The night found me on my absolute favorite roof in the world. (Not that it's an exceptionally long list, or anything.)

Today I'm at work, exhausted and pleased. (Marred only by the work I'm currently procrastinating on.)

My weekend was spent on my hands and knees... scrubbing floors and bathtubs and showers. Getting the old apartment full-deposit-back-tidy. I may have sneaked in a few killer meals with The Greg, but if anybody in the Santa Rosa area asks, I was busy 100% of the time I was in town, slaving away!

Today, I am working on a monster spreadsheet at work. YAY! Too bad my ergo keyboard hasn't arrived yet...

I've been very, very quiet online recently due to the general rotting of my brain and needing to go to sleep from 7.30pm every night and waking up exhausted, which is probably anaemia related, so I'm off for blood tests in half an hour. However, I did want to take a moment to say a huge big THANK YOU to Zia_Narratora who very kindly sent over her Princess and the Bird story for my son as a belated birthday present. He's always happy to receive post and when it's got a present inside, he's even happier :oD
