The funny thing about "merit" is that most people think they either have it or in a better position to recognize it than anyone else.

Which of course is silly. The only one who is able to see what truly merits attention is *me*!!! :P

Everyone else, of course, just has an out of control ego! They might also have an out of control Eggo. It depends on the time of day.

I think it would be much easier on everyone if they would just decide to have out of control Legos. Then at least they could build something awesome!!

Funnily enough, I've been playing the HECK out of the Lego Star Wars game because I am twelve years old.

Sadly, those Legos are all quite under control, but fun nonetheless.

I'm a bit bummed that it's chilly today and we're supposed to be leaving for an amusement park soon. Hopefully it warms up considerably!

I may need to wear yellow again.:)

ETA: First again? Hmmm...I never have anything clever to say when I'm first! Eeek...I'll have to come up with something!

There are signs up in the Publix here that say that there is a shortage of Eggo's. While I didn't want waffles before seeing this sign, it made me want to buy the few boxes they had there.

And that's weird, 'cause I totally dreamed last night that I needed a bunch of Lego's. Get out of my head!

Today is going to be a good day. Should I be home working to finish up my projects that are due on Wednesday? Yes. Am I staying home to work? No. I'm going out for the day with my bestest friend and we're running all around town causing trouble shopping and hanging out.

I heard about this shortage back in December. It was supposed to last from January until May when they were able to get a new machine to replace the one that broke.

Personally, I think it's a hoax. My local grocery stores have kept Eggo's fully stocked since I've heard the news.

It's a LEGO disaster field at my house. I can't count the number of times someone has been maimed in the middle of the night.

Also, now I want an EGGO. Instead I had an egg & cheese bagel.

My kids have school today - they've been on Spring Break for the rest of the week, but they have to go to school on Friday now. It seems deliciously wicked to send them off this morning.

I would like to have out of control Legos. It would be cool to see them building themselves into things in my son's cupboard :D

I'm rather behind on the reading this week since I took so long getting my entry in and was in Melbourne most of the week, so my comments aren't very consistent. I'm eternally surprised that one of my favourite competitors, markmade doesn't do better in the polls, particularly since I loved his entry this week. My other favourite entries this week seem to be doing alright at the moment, but I may be back to give them attention if anything changes.

If I'm voted out this week, I won't mind so much, since I didn't like my entry, and my husband gave me Final Fantasy XIII for our anniversary. I'd quite like to devote some attention to it! I'm sure it'll have me feeling more accomplished than the raspberry cheesecake I just made and didn't seem to turn out well.

Some unexpected (but welcome) work dumped on my desk today, so I'm not off early like I thought I'd be. Ah well, the sun is shining on my desk, little one is behaving (so far) and the translation is not doing too badly. I'm just fretting about the polls actually, and making my way through reading and commenting. I actually posted some recs and will post more tonight.

I've gotten up to the F's in reading, which isn't very far, but I still have two days to finish it. I hate having to stop in the middle but things keep coming up and I keep having to leave the computer randomly.

Also, today I keep substituting all N's for M's. Rather odd...

Legos are the awesome. We got a Speed Racer set that is just tons of fun.

Anyone still watching Survivor? Wow, the Villains are cutting off their nose to spite their face. The three strongest are gone leaving a bunch of people who can't through a physical challenge to save their butts. So they are assuming merge so they can continue but if the merge isn't for another couple of shows, I think they are done for.

I met an online friend for lunch today (a first for me). It was no one from Idol though. I wish it was though...*sigh* one day.

Now my dog is driving me crazy to take her to the park. I said "Go" and that means we are leaving and she doesn't understand "In a few minutes" and is whining and barking at me to go. So I guess I better "go" and make her happy.

OOh, I know something of merit. I am going to help out a college student with a student made film. I get to play a dead body that is being eaten by zombies because no one was willing to play the role. I get to covered in chocolate sauce and let people eat my "intestines". Fun :)

Well, it seems that LJ has stopped sucking so hardcore and I'm able to post and refresh and all that jazz. Seems they were having an issue since last night.

I managed to finish my reading. Commented to every entry (apologies if they started getting a little brain dead near the end). Cast my votes. Put together a small rec list for my friends.

Now getting ready to leave work and go out for fun! Fun! YAY!

Also, I saw my first ever episode of Survivor yesterday, since they have started showing Heroes vs Villains. I don't really get the dynamics yet but I'd appreciate no spoilers because I'm sticking with it for the moment, just so I can understand what that crazy Gary is always going on about!

I've read all except about 8 so that's today's task. I must say that the standard this week is very, very impressive. So many people I don't usually vote for getting a tick from me this week because you're all just so darned good.

Eggo is a brand of frozen waffles. They had endless ad campaigns when I was a kid where someone would inevitably steal a waffle from the toaster, and the victimized breakfast eater would yell, "Hey! Leggo (let go) my Eggo!!"

We just arrived in Nashville for the weekend. We're going to have dinner at The Aquarium restaurant tonight, then trek over to The Parthenon tomorrow, then a dinner cruise tomorrow evening. Not sure what we'll do on Sunday, but we'll think of something.
