I am sitting nicely in a patch of rare sunlight as I wait for my flatmates to get up.

It is 1:30 in the afternoon.

I have been up for almost 6 hours.

I took yesterday off, so today I have a lot to do. Including moving a sofa from the front room down to my room. Which is harder than it sounds as it won't fit through the door frame. So we'll be taking it outside, down the steps from the deck, into the yard, and then in through my sliding glass door. First, though, I have to make room for it.

Then I have a full day of work (2 projects are due next week) and prepping for a guild meeting tomorrow. Tomorrow I have the guild meeting (now a nearly 2 hour drive away), then swinging by the old house to pick up more stuff and furniture. I think Sunday is free right now which is great.

I'm trying really hard not to obsess over the polls. :(

Oh dear, good luck with the sofa! I had to help move a desk a few months ago ... turned on its side, it managed to fit through the door, but then needed one of us on each side to move it further. And it had needed both of us on the same side to turn it. I ended up wriggling my way through the empty drawer area in order to squeeze under the desk and through the door XD

I'm going to see my dad who I haven't seen in a year and a half! :D I'm a daddy's girl so it kinda sucks he lives so far away.

I have today off, but not by choice.

So I am (slowly) getting ready for work, slightly less cold-ish than yesterday. Did not manage to do much reading yet; hoping I can fit enough in! We have family plans this weekend, and a...erm...family member's special occasion (so as not to totally out my RL identity)...so can you wish my...family member...a happy special occasion? :)

We get a half-day off today, w00. I only have to work until 11:45 (aka 2.25 more hours... not that I'm counting).

Once I escape this place, there will be shopping for stuff to put into Easter baskets (not exclusively candy - sometimes DVDs and other miscellaneous stuff make appearances). On Sunday I'll be having lunch with the minikin clan at a place called Country Cookin' By George, which I've never eaten at before, and for dinner we'll be grilling out brats and burgers at our place, seeing as the weather is so nice.

Beyond that, I'm thinking it might be a good idea to write up something about Making Fire, on the off chance that I may need it this round...

I am busting my butt today at work... the owner just let go of our receptionist, and the new receptionist is starting Monday. Of course, since our old receptionist was with us for 5 years, we didn't really bother to keep the training documents updated....

So, guess what I am doing today? On top of answering phones! Oh, joy.

(Plus, the manager is out Monday through Wednesday of next week, which means the owner is going to be here while I'm trying to train the new receptionist. This means my toes are going to get stepped on left and right, and I'm going to have to deal with any client issues on top of training a receptionist, since the owner doesn't really know how to handle a lot of that stuff.)

It is absolutely beautiful outside today, so I have been avoiding the inside (especially since I have cleaning to do).

I have managed to plant a couple of trees, do some weeding, replant an area of crab grass with nicer stuff, arrange a regular weekly mowing of my front lawn [the back is for the dogs], and write my NaPoWriMo entry for the day.

Not too shabby for four hours.

So far, today is awesome. Days off are glorious sometimes. I've taken the kids to the local nursery for pictures with the flowers and the Easter bunny. We planted some pansies in front of mom and grandma's houses, we rode bikes, and now mom is attempting to get the baby to take a nap. He's not pleased. He wanted to keep playing outside!

No day off for me, but the show closes on Sunday and then I will have days off (or be unemployed) for about a month. Being a contract employee is weird.

Good Friday? Seeing as the polls are pretty damn close, I think it's "Sphincter Pucker Friday." So I'm sitting here at work trying (and failing) to not watch the polls incessantly today. *gulp*

College Kid will be home later on today. Probably means we will be doing Bunny Day dinner on Saturday night since she will have to be outta here by 4 on Sunday. Possible egg hunt on Sunday AM. Big kids surprise you. 1st they think that's "so gay" to hunt eggs anymore, and then they want to revisit childhood and re-live the magic, so Easter egg hunting isn't such a bad thing any more. We shall see what the weather dictates too.
