Just watched UP on DVD last night... I think Carrie cried after two minutes into the movie. I really liked it - it's q bit deep. I'm hoping that "Where the Wild Things Are" will be available on DVD soon

Working this Sunday as I have submission due tomorrow. Granted, I'm scrambling a bit because the item I wanted to submit is in a yarn this magazine doesn't feature. So, I'm going with another item that I was going to submit later in the month to someone else. John's out at a friend's house for a play date, er, helping his friend weld bits for his friend's new motorcycle under construction.

I have an idea for my entry, but it still needs to percolate a bit before I can get it on the screen.

Sunday it is...the day (according to that song) that many people wish for when it's Monday.

I'm trying to configure my Idol entry in my head and avoid the temptation to write about the first thing that came to my mind. But since this week is going to prove to be busy, I may not have much of a choice.

Last night I saw the musical Hairspray. I kinda want to give myself "Tracy hair" after that...I think the bump-it that I have can help with that. I haven't worn the bump-it since the first weekish I got it...maybe tomorrow:)

I was up until 3:30 this morning raiding ICC25. It was a good group but it was LATE and we kept wiping, so we did the 5frost badge quest real quickly and called it.

Then, I woke up, all on my own, at 8am. Then the dog came in and whined over my face for a half an hour. -.-

I should probably get some caffeine in me, too, before I start to get a lame withdraw headache that I just could NOT use right now.

And um. HAPPY SUNDAY EVERYONE! Not looking forward to work tomorrow. Friday we said goodbye to another 3 people, and tomorrow will be the remainder. I stay on with 3 people after that, until there's not enough work to keep me around. :\

My day is starting as a sucky pain day. I've gobbled some vicodin and I'm about to write either the greatest entry of all time, or the most incoherent entry of all time. Or, possibly both!

Anyway, good morning folks. It's a pretty good day so far. I'm working on writing something that may or may not be my entry.

Enjoyed seeing all the pictures yesterday! It's nice to put some faces to the names. And also to discover that there are so many other redheads. Hooray for the ginger gene!

Can't believe the weekend is almost over. I don't want to go back to work tomorrow.

Well, I'm definitely more self-doubting about what I'm writing. That said, I entered this to challenge myself to write more and to branch out and write in ways that I maybe wouldn't otherwise. And I'm still doing that--I'm pushing myself to think a lot about how I want to tell the stories I'm telling. I think that narrative discourse is just as important (if not more important) than the story itself, so structure matters a lot to me. Of course, I'm not sure that anyone else gives a damn about that sort of thing, so it may just all be for me, but that's alright.

This week's topic has me COMPLETELY stumped. I have *no* idea what to write about whatsoever, which is making me freak out.

Today I have to also work on a speech in English about women's rights. I'm trying to think of examples that would help me prove my point, which is that women's rights has come a long way, but there is still a very long way to go yet in regards to pay equality, equal representation in government, etc. Any ideas of sites I can go to in order to get that information?

I am intending to pick up new kitchen cabinets today. This depends on whether an acceptable substitute can be obtained for a moving truck we reserved that isn't available.

As most people have already said, this topic has me stumped. Well, not completely, I have three semi-ideas...but none that I am oh so freaking excited about yet. I will sit down and write out all three and see if that excites me about any on in particular. If not, back to the drawing (err writing) board I guess.

Otherwise, I just hit the gym hard core today and it felt great. I need to finally lose this holiday weight in order to look hawt for St. Pats when it will be party time! (oh and maybe my wedding anniversay too I guess :p)

Just so you guys know, I am kidding about the above (and I know I misspeleed hot, I wanted to be cool). Though looking hawt would be nice :)

Day is going good so far... woke up early, drank a billion gallons of coffee, made some breakfast and have just spent a nice, quiet morning chilling out.

Pondering two topics for my entry... and both have me a bit nervous. But hey, nothing ventured, nothing gained, yes?

Going to go see The Crazies here in just a wee bit. Looking forward to that... also going to try to find a swordfighting game for the Wii I've heard about... that'll be fun.

It's been a long few days. Until yesterday, it was a good few days alone with the girls (their mom was out at the rig visiting their dad at work), but then mom came home and hell broke loose. Now they're all in trouble for most of a week.

Who else enjoyed sleeping in this morning? I adore my days off. Usually I get up and go to church, but I'll go this evening. I needed to sleep in because I've been sick and running on very little sleep. Now I'm relaxing in bed, reading, talking to friends, and watching stuff on my DVR.

G'day! Taking it easy this fine Sunday - slept until about noon, got caught up on some Food Network shows that I'd recorded since we have to clear off the upstairs DVR - we're upgrading it this week which means getting a new unit. Watched an old (1940's) movie called Hail the Conquering Hero with the hubby as he was burning it to DVD. Right now I'm getting caught up on Caprica then will be making some spaghetti and meat sauce for supper in just a bit.

Still pondering ideas for the topic this week... *ponders some more*
