I'm reading Krik? Krak! by Edwidge Danticat and The Children's Book by A. S. Byatt.
I'm about to enjoy a nice hot cup of yerba mate.

I have a two-hour delay, but because of something really ambiguous that says that staff are going to be there at the normal time and bus kids are going to be two hours late. I'm not a bus kid, but I won't be penalized for being late, so I'm not going in right now. No one will be there, anyway.

I'm reading Pride and Prejudice at the moment. This is my second (or third) time trying to read it, so hopefully this time I will succeed.

I'm trying to convince the dog that he can wait a bit more before he gets another helping of food. He had some tummy issues yesterday so he didn't eat and I'm trying to space out his meals today so we don't get a repeat. So he's laying there whining at me that he's OMGSTARVING and I should remedy that.

I've been reading Grimm's Fairy Tales.

I'm enjoying a large cup of coffee.

I'm not sure on the polls because honestly, I haven't been keeping up with it. But I'll always take more! :D

I am trying to edit, though I am secretly mostly watching reruns of the Olympic since I was out watching Shutter Island last night and missed a lot. Oh olympics, I am glad you are soon over, you are eating my life.

I'm planning to start reading Patient 67 by Dennis Lehane, the book that Shutter Island was based on. Found it by chance in a used-book store yesterday and thought I'd give it a shot. The book I just finished was about the holographic properties of the universe and the human mind, and made my brain ache, so I need something simple now.

As for drinking, it's tea all the way. Delicious, delicious IKEA tea, amazingly good for the price. Mmmm rhubarb and cream.

I'm trying to keep away from looking obsessively at the polls, but just at a glance now I'd urge people to read boiconfessed. He might be new and immune, but I like his stuff!

EVERYONE needs more comment love. That is just how it is. Same as with the regular lovings.

Today is a good day. It's Friday. I've had my tea. We signed an option contract on a house. My doggy is healing well from her spaying surgery. I have a birthday party tonight and an engagement party tomorrow night.

And oh gosh, reading! I have three books going right now: First They Killed My Father, Precious and Shutter Island.

Speaking of reading, I need to get going on the polls! Does anyone know if the spreadsheet has been posted?

I have two kids of my own, a three year old girl and a one year old boy. Also, my mom and I split the mother duties for my younger siblings (I work mornings and she works afternoon/evenings) who are 19, 11, and 6.

I just got into work! It was a treacherous walk!
I am reading Everything Dies #1 and #2 by Box Brown. It has these really cute little summaries of world religions.
I am enjoying water, although I brought rose-honeybush-red clover tea with me to work.
I haven't finished reading everyone so I am not sure who needs more loving! I am delighted with the amount of love I personally am getting since I thought my entry this week might be a little too personal for other people to "get" it.
But general love is always accepted.

I'm at work. I'm getting ready to start reading A Mortal Glamour by Chelsea Quinn Yarbro, and I'm also still working my way through Idol Musings.

No tasty beverage at the moment, although I did have a cuppa hot English Breakfast tea earlier. I will probably grab a Diet Mt Dew shortly, as I could use the caffeine.

Today is kind of made of fail. I couldn't get everyone out the door on time, they were late for school, and then I drove 45 minutes to work to find out that I didn't bring my briefcase with all the pertinent files in it!

I'm moving really slow this morning. Couldn't make myself go to sleep last night, then woke up after 4 hours and again before my alarm went off. When alarm actually went off I didn't want to wake up. Also still dealing with the after effects of my head cold last week, currently in the productive cough phase.

I'm reading The Lost Symbol in book form and am about to start a new Agatha Christie Hercule Piorot book in audio form. Not sure which of the ones I got from the library I'm going for next.

No tasty beverage yet. I'm hoping there is a cold diet dr pepper in the fridge once I make it out there (getting dressed, doing hair has to happen first)

I think ask_a_sup needs some more love in the polls. I'll always take some too :-)
