Today is off to a banner start and will likely be fired before noon. The dog was sick last night so now I get to steam clean the carpet again. For those keeping track, I just did this on Sunday. Joyous.

The only good thing about today? Archer mini-marathon tonight on FX. Seriously, watch this show. Okay, it's a smidge raunchy, but if you like Frisky Dingo, Sealab 2021, etc, you'll love this show. Best show on TV right now in my humble opinion.

Good morning! The slush-pocalypse is hitting NYC at the moment. Have I mentioned that "wintery mix" is my least favorite weather ever? It is.

Otherwise, today seems alright. This morning I started taking flax+borage oil again. Um, it's still kind of unpleasant, but I know that it's good for me. So it goes. But next time I'm not going to down a tablespoon on my way out the door--that stuff needs a chaser!

I am making my way through the posts. Last week I had to speed read through stuff, because I had limited internet time on my friend's computer. So, this time I want to give people more time and attention. :)

Ugh, I keep getting sicker and sicker. What has been a lovely head cold with ear infection since Sunday decided to move into my bronchial tubes and lungs over night, and now I struggle to breath. Anything more than the shallowest of breaths has me wracking with coughings and "here have a lung"s. I tried a steamy shower this morning, which helped my nasal passages unblock, but didn't help every aching joint and muscle in my body, didn't help the headache, and didn't help with the lungs and coughing.


Don't know where I caught it either, since none of the kids are sick, and other than driving them around, I've not really gotten out in two weeks!

Gonna be a long day, methinks. Client in psych ward, lots of other stuff going on, day off gone bad yesterday (ha), etc.

In other news, I'm awake and alive and a very lucky boy, so the transient shit will just drop away eventually and I'll be left with a nice life full of love and laughs. So, I've got that going for me. :)

I've yet to invoke my flist this week in the voting. Maybe I can just keep it that way!

well good afternoon. I got my clarinet back from the shop and it only cost me 20 dollars to fix! (of course I still need to overhaul, but we won't go into how much that will cost me.)

I'm still of two minds about immunity. I wish I had known before late last night that I had it, because I probably would have given it up. Maybe. I don't know. I kind of wanted to see if I could make it through this week on my own, but at the same time am glad I don't have to find out.

I go through phases when I prefer certain types of literature over others. I went through a period of reading a lot of mystery novels, but that seems to have worn out. I've always been drawn to historical fiction, biographies, and non-fiction books about history and travel.

Today is yet another day in which I am living and breathing, so I'm automatically grateful for that.

What I'm NOT grateful for, however, is that there may be snow/ice coming this way very shortly, which means my best friend may NOT be coming in from out of town to visit with me :( Very sad. This winter has been hell, especially here in MD, where we've had more snow than any other state in America this year (so far - we've still got March to get through, so maybe we'll lose the honor:)

Other than that - I voted, and my recs are up, and I'm crossing my fingers until Saturday!

I woke up feeling kinda sick! I went to work anyway and on the way there everything was a mix of rain and snow!

Then I got to work and guess what? My computer did not work! They just fixed it. That's why I'm here NOW at 1 PM and not before now! :-(

So I am annoyed. Also, it is still snowing.

I'd much rather be at home watching the Blair House Summit right about now. Of course, after dealing with the douchebags here, a trip to the proctologist might be preferrable. This little shindig has the Republicans in my office in a *total* tizzy and they just can't seem to stop themselves from coming by my office to talk crap. I'd feel sorry for them if they didn't make me want to jam my pen in their eye.

In better news, we won again last night... 22-2. Could easily have been 32-2 but we stopped taking extra bases and just moved station to station while we were at-bat. Not cool to run it up any more than necessary, right?
