My day will definotly be better than yesterday. Yesterday started at the hospital having tests run. Today started with a snow day! Yay! Snow day snow day snowday! I took Fargo out a bit after five then got back into bed and read until I fell asleep again.

I hope my day goes better than yesterday. I think I'm just going to give up on the idea of getting to work in the studio today. I'll just sit out here in the living room and work. Then the dog won't whine. And really, as long as I don't have to rip out all my work AGAIN, I should be good to go. Yeah, yesterday involved erasing two days worth of work. Not happy.

Other than that, I have another Netflix movie coming today and tomorrow is a mini-marathon of Archer on FX. If you are not watching this show, you do not know what you are missing. Catch up tomorrow night at 9pm. OMG, so freaking funny.

I went 20mph on the highway on my way to work today because it was SO slick it was ridiculous! I nearly had to ditch it once because a cop was stopped trying to get a massive 2 car accident out of the ditch so everyone else freaked out and SLAMMED on the brakes (yaknow, pretty flashing lights will do that to you).

Even going 20, you WILL SKID IF YOU DO THIS. Well, the lucky assholes with ABS brakes did just fine, minimal skidding, but poor me with my rear wheel drive, non-ABS, '93 Grand Marquis (even with the 8 cars of stopping distance I left myself), ended up fishtailing 4 times before I decided to ditch it so I wouldn't hit the car in front of me (WHICH, BTW, was 1/2mi away from the cop with NOBODY IN FRONT OF HIM and could have helped me out a bit, but decided not to and just stay completely stopped in the middle of the road -.-)...

The friction of the snow on the shoulder gave me enough stopping power to pump the breaks, thank goodness. No ditching for me!

ANYWAY! Time to fold boxes all day!!! :D

Today will not be so good in our home. My partner is having to have her beloved dog Tucker put down. He has been failing for some time, but he had a wonderful, love filled life for almost 17 years.

We will miss him so very much. :(

Yesterday was a terrible suck.

My daughter was having one of her nightmare mornings, so it was extremely difficult to even get her out of the house. I had ONE hour billable work to do at my job, so my wallet is crying at me, and then we got terrible news about my husband's workplace. They're laying off 300-400 people, which is 20-25% of the staff. Everyone (including him) will receive a buyout offer this week, and the number of layoffs will depend on how many people take the buyout.

My day is off to an acceptable start. And it's less rainy than yesterday, so mayhaps it will be better, Gary, mayhaps.

I'm still working on my entry. Talk about cutting it close to the wire. Although it's been crazy trying to get returned to my routines after vacation. But! I am excited to be writing something in a different format and seeing how people will respond. Ideally I'd have more time to really get it just how I'd like. C'est la vie.

Today is my second day of training at PetSmart to become a pet trainer. It's going to be a better day because of a multitude of reasons:

1. First I'm signing paperwork for my OTHER new job as a transcriptionist.

2. Then, I know where I'm going to get my training so I won't feel stressed as I drive an hour or so to get there.

3. Also, I know what to expect today and am not nearly as nervous as I was when I started yesterday which is also.

4. Plus I just like making numbered lists, especially when I also include words that make the numbered lists irrelevant like "then, also, or plus." It's a momentary transient pleasure, but it's there.

Today has so far been pretty much a copy of yesterday, but without all the rain.

I've spent the past 2 days coming to grips with the fact that we missed the window to buy tulip bulbs this year, so unless we end up knowing someone going to Amsterdam in the next couple weeks, no new tulip patches this season. We'll have to survive with the old ones.

I saw a Formula 1 driver and an annoying rock star at the butcher's this morning too. This neighborhood is really going downhill.

Lets see, I got up this morning to see a text from a friend saying a former business partner who I had told not to go down that road got raided by the Feds last night. And to find messages that tell me that in some online communities they don't believe in the first amendment. And it's only 8:30am. This day has promise.

Late last night, I finally got an idea for my entry. Once I ran through the entry in my head, I kinda chuckled at the end so this makes me feel far more comfortable. With my other entries, I could see the end, but nothing before that.

Yesterday was awesome for me...besides being crazy-busy at work (which is why I am still working on my entry for this week!).

buuuuuuuuut I saw Sweeney Todd last night with my best friend/roommate, and we went to a fancy dinner beforehand. Oh my gosh - it's the BEST SHOW I'VE EVER BEEN TO LIVE - PERIOD. AMAAAAAAAZING!!!!

So yea - hopefully today will be good (ie: I have time over lunch to write my entry!)

Hi everyone! It's snowing like crazy here and has been since yesterday afternoon. So needless to say I'm not in work and loving that! It is supposed to stop later today but pick up again tomorrow and go into Friday.

Not much going on here. I'll be on vacation next week (stacation actually). So it will be a good thing and I'll be able to play in here!
