So, I brought in the dip I had forgotten on Friday for work. And I'm thinking, I should go to the really nummy bread place that people always go to to dip the yummy stuff INTO.

THEN! I thought "well it's chicken and BBQ, so maybe they'll want it for lunch", and changed my course in the slippery 3"-on-the-road snow we accumulated this morning... And forgot to stop by at my coffee hous of choice for my morning pick-me-up.

So I got some here! It's a very dark roast so it works. Got some dark chocolate cocoa in there, and French Vanilla creamer, AND I'M ALL SET TO GO! :D

Wish me luck. Another 8-9hrs on my feet again today! :D

Morning.

Fell asleep after turning off the alarm clock, didn't wake up until John kissed me goodbye before heading to work. Crap. So now I'm already 30 minutes behind on my day.

Today I need to bust through the current project in the studio since it's technically due next week (although I have an extension because the yarn was late arriving). And I have two more submissions to get together and ready to go out the door.

At least my entry is in.

Meh....about the week starting over again. (yeah my Idol entry went up on Saturday btw)...

Carrie aced her phone interview on Friday and to my surprise they said right away that she's a good fit for the job and they'd like a face to face interview with her this week.

Personally, I think this woman's just really busy and hadn't much time to look at other candidates and since Carrie's done A LOT of work for this company, she may have known her name (Carrie knows their LAN/ADMINs).

We're going back to the boring job except I'm hoping we'll get an actual end date...cause I hate it...it's really boring.

Plus we can't access personal email, live journal or twitter....meh

Meh, it's that day of the month when I really want to up and kill something! it actually makes me happy for unemployment for once, since I actually can just wrap up in a blanket with painkillers and ignore the world. But, got my entry done last night, so that's good.

Otherwise it's just the same old, keeping editing, translating and looking for work. We're getting blanketed by snowstorm after snowstorm, there is traffic chaos out there but for someone like me who only have to walk to get somewhere it's pretty great. The snow covers everything by now, maybe I'll upload some pictures later tonight. It is pretty awesome.

This week on Tuesday I've got a Pampered Chef party to go to after work; Thursday we're having a pizza party at work hosted (and paid for) by our Morale Committee; Thursday evening is bowling.

Ah yes, Monday. It's...very Monday-ish. Fortunately, I do not yet seem to have a case of the Mondays. So yay!

Great weekend. Brought two sets of friends together for dinner last night - the husband's best and his wife, and my recently-found junior-high bestie and her husband. Went like gangbusters! Only small problem is that I'm at the "wrong" end of the political spectrum...so I did a lot of shutting up. :)

Anyway! So I had this dream that was AWESOME + Idol which = extra AWESOME. What I remember begins with having a lovely lunch out with the fab impoetry. Then at some point - it seemed like a work thing but I don't entirely recall - I ended up chauffeuring NEIL GAIMAN around the city! At one building, I had to go back in to retrieve something, had a conversation with him about being able to tell people "I have to go, NEIL GAIMAN is waiting in my car," and got out only to run into a friend I haven't seen in more than two years, who gratefully accepted a flying hug from me. And who, to my surprise, knew NEIL GAIMAN.

Reality kind of sucks in comparison, now. :)

We're having computer issues at the moment. SO's computer flailed and nearly self-destructed a couple of days ago, so it was defragged, everything uninstalled/reinstalled, and defragged again because of a corrupt registry or something (don't ask me these computer terms -- I can't explain them!) Meanwhile I have less than 1/10th free space on mine for some odd reason, and, according to the defragger, I've got corrupt files up the wazoo :p

In other news, I've been walking around with an ear infection and hadn't realized it until now!

Mornin' All... ever go through a period where you seem to have very vivid and very disturbing dreams? I'm in one of those cycles right now... I remember bits and pieces of them and it's just bizarre. From last night, I remember that I was trying to bury two bodies in my backyard. They were wrapped in sheets so I wasn't able to see their faces nor do I know how they came to be dead... I just remember the panic of trying to bury them. That and a football game on television. I gots no idea what's going on in my brain. But it's trippin' me out.

So on the agenda for the week... finishing a statement of purpose, meeting with an advisor to review said statement of purpose, schmooze the hell out of said advisor and try to round up some of my old professors and schmooze letters of rec out of them... so lots of ass kissing in my immediate future. Better buy some Chap-Stik.

Working hard this week - we've got a huge hiring goal; so things are busy, busy, busy! And I keep trying to find a radio station on AOL RADIO that fits my mood - I'm on my 5th one in of the day...it's currently "PARTY FAVORITES" which is playing "Candy Shop" which is not really appropriate, I think...

buuuuuuuuuuut I digress. I'm still frustrated that my work has blocked PANDORA - I loved creating my own radio stations!!!!!!

Oh - tomorrow I'm going to see Sweeney Todd and am super excited!!! :D First play of 2010 and it's a musical with a murderous barber - can it get any better?!??! :D

Today we made homemade pink lemonade and it is awesome!

1 cup sugar, 4.5 cups water, 1.5 cups fresh squeezed lemon juice, 1.5 cups cranberry juice!

Tonight I go back to ballet after 3 weeks off, can't wait!

Oooh, that does sound like yummy lemonade. I wouldn't have thought of adding cranberry juice to it!

Do you make a simple syrup with the sugar, or just add it as is?
