Oh, sure, you post them at 5 AM my time on the weekdays, and then I get up on the weekends and wait 3 hours for them. :)

It's gorgeous and sunny here, a perfect time for green room bullet points.

- I just wrote an entry in my journal about how into this whole Idol thing I've become. SNEAKY, Gary, SNEAKY.

- After reading a couple of gratefuladdict's posts, it dawns on me that I'm both really glad that she's back, and aware that there is just some really top-level competition here. And it's NOT just because I've developed a crush on her user icon, I swear.

- We made homemade pizza last night (well, Sandi did, and I baked it) with a ricotta base, and olives/onions/garlic/pancetta/mushrooms/mozzarella on top, and it was fantastic.

- Yes, I have had too much coffee. Why do you ask?

My weekend is going AWESOME! Last night was a party for my 30th birthday (which is this Monday) and my wife and friends made it more memorable than I ever expected. It was fantastic.

Or so. :) Morning, all. Up and about after (heaven help me) a full eight hours of sleep! As of now, the annoying relatives are a tentative...and the dinner with friends is a definite. So a good Sunday seems to be ahead.

I was working on my entry. It's pencilled and about a third of the way inked. I am trying to figure out how overt to be with how it's connected to the topic because it's possibly more literally connected than any other post so far but I don't know if many people will realize why. But I don't want to spoil the joke for the people who do realize why!

I am going out with my friend for a snack in a little while and then I guess today will be a homework day!

Hmmmmmmmmmmmm. "Interesting". I think I've had my share of "interesting" this month, if by "interesting" you mean "unexpected crises leaving my household stressed to the gills".

If, on the other hand, you mean "interesting" in terms of "fun", or "apart from the norm"... nope, can't oblige.

But I'm about to clamber out of my pajamas and to go for a nice walk, and expect to come home with groceries. Then I intend to add more to the Love Thread, to write my own entry, and then to read the other entries that have come in this week, home game and official.

Sometimes "interesting" is overrated. I'm happy to have a bit of mundanity back.

Hello all!

This morning was spent steam cleaning the front room carpet thanks to an older dog who doesn't seem to understand that if he doesn't have a leash and a human with him, it is not okay to take a potty break. Grr. Oh well. Good thing he's cute.

We just got back from lunch, John's about to crash both our sites so he can do updates and such (we have both his fun site and my business website hosted out of a server sitting in the office), and I'm about to head into the studio and actually try to work today. We're meeting up with his dad and step-mom tonight at a little Columbian restaurant for a belated birthday dinner for John.

Oops, just been given the warning he's taking down my site. Gotta go let people know.

I can't believe we have an extra day for our entry--the one week I get mine in SUPER EARLY. :P Now I'm gonna be bored out of my skull because I have nothing to do until WEDNESDAY. But I'm just glad I have my entry done, because I think it's my favorite of them all.

Speaking of entries, I've read the first couple, and some of them are really great. I'm just loving how talented we all are. :)

I am eating a DQ chicken basket, which is making me so happy. I had to go months without one, but yay, they're open again! :D And I'm eating slowly so I don't have to get to my homework too early. My vacation is pretty much over. That makes me saaaad. :(

In other news today is day 1 in my new approach to home pre-schooling it. We did a craft about the letter A, ran around the house finding A things, read a book, had free play time, and after nap we have a play date!

WoooHooooo! An extra day to procrastinate!!! I'm soooooo good and procrastination.

Yesterday was... interesting. The morning started off with a boatload o' drama... bleh. But things got better from there. We all sauntered down to the Long Beach Mardi Grad Festival... which in the paper last week announced, food, games, fun and festivities... upon arriving at said festival, there were neither food, fun nor festivities... there was one really weak-as-hell "parade" that looked more like a bunch of people got together and just decided to walk in the same general direct and call themselves a "parade." AND NO MARDI GRAS BOOBIES!!! WTF? :-)

After that, we decided to go Joe's Crab Shack and indulge in some cajun crawfish and all kinds of, y'know, healthy food like that. Then on to Barnes & Noble... I can spend forever in bookstores. So overall, I think it was a pretty good day.

As for now... waiting for the next round of rain and playing around online when I should be doing some stuff that needs doing. Entry, statement of purpose, other various tasks. But here I am!

By the way, does anybody know any hardcore language crash-courses? I recently learned that I need to be passably "fluent" in a foreign language... relatively soon. I had 2 years of Spanish in high school so I figured I'd try to brush back up on that...

We spent Friday PM and all day Saturday visiting w my college kid at Ohio University. (Go Bob Cats!)

BTW...This is the OTHER Ohio college...NOT Ohio State. We had a fun girls' weekend shopping, eating and talking non-stop. Nice room at the local Hotel-Motel-Holiday Inn. Had to give the kid's car the auto version of CPR...All this extremely cold weather and sitting out was doing it in and the battery gave out.

Saw the movie, SHUDDER ISLAND...Oh man, freekin weird but soooo good.
Came home later last night and whipped out a Home Game entry for this week....You people can't get rid of me so easy!!!!

Back to reality today, (Sunday). Blah...P.

I got home late last night from a whirlwind trip to Disneyland for my friend Kare's 30th birthday. We went to Club 33 for lunch, which was amazing, and just really had an amazing day.

While I was there, this really cool guy you may have heard of - I think his name is joeymichaels - decided that he wanted to sacrifice his position to bring me back in the game. Holy hell!

And now I'm back home, and today I'm celebrating 6 years clean and sober. I plan to stay in my jammies most of the day, then go to an early dinner with friends at one of my favorite seafood joints.

All in all, not a bad weekend. :D

Is there a reason that this com is so tiny on the screen? It's the only site that I see like this, but I can't read anything because the font is about a size 1. On the one day a week that I have to actually try and come into the green room, too!

Saw the musical Hair and David Mamet's newest work Race. Interesting contrast in shows which I wrote about in my blog entry today.

Today my daughter Caroline comes back from her Adventure in Connecticut with her 3 sisters.

Greetings earthlings. I have to return to NYC this evening. It's going to be a bit of culture shock, I think. Ugh. It kind of makes my heart hurt to be leaving Maine.

Um... Need to bust my ass and start churning out more job applications. May need to write a nicer cover letter, too, but it's all so overwhelming sometimes.

Guess at some point I need to write my entry for the week, too. Glad to know I've got a little extra time to scramble around.

I'm at work, which isn't really interesting for me. Though I'm loving the individual day weekend green rooms, it's even more distraction for my day. Well, umm - not that I don't give rehearsal my full attention at all time. Really. (wonders if my boss even knows what LJ is).

I am currently planning to go and get fried catfish and onion rings for lunch, which is keeping me going for the first half of my day. Whatever motivation works I suppose.
