My entry is ready. It would be up, if it hadn't been for the fact I had to finish something first and when I was done alexpgp had JUST stepped out for the day, so his entry is still private. Talk about a matter of seconds.

I am very tired after staying up until 12:30 to watch the end of the Olympic opening ceremony. Everything was absolutely stunning, except the end when the torch-lighting went a little wonky. But the lighting of the cauldron was an inspired idea, even though it didn't go exactly as planned. Now I'm just waiting until some sort of game is finally broadcast on TV. I haven't seen anything yet.

I'm thinking I might try to write my LJ Idol entry today, or at least write something. Either that or read some entries. I'm glad I can just relax and not worry about schoolwork for at least a couple of days, since I have the whole of next week off.

Yes, I was so disappointed when the lighting of the torch got botched up. The musical performances were incredible and the whole march of nations was beautiful, and I was so psyched seeing Wayne Gretsky on that last leg of the torch lighting, and then waited and waited... and then the DVR recording ended just as the fire was headed up to the cauldron. Ugh!

I've been writing my entry for Idol. Have a few other necessary things to do...then I'll be heading to the circus tonight! I'm kind of excited seeing as how I've never been.

Didn't somebody here write a circus story...? ;)

Otherwise, I'll be crossing my fingers for a snow day on Monday! =)

I really enjoyed the Olympic Opening Ceremony last night. Planning to watch a bit of it today and work on my entry.

I'm thinking hard about two news stories today as well. One is a bit surreal (Palestinians dressed as the Na'vi from the film Avatar stage a protest... (http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/picturegalleries/worldnews/7222508/Palestinians-dressed-as-the-Navi-from-the-film-Avatar-stage-a-protest-against-Israels-separation-barrier.html)), the other, a bit too much the norm (Professor charged in Alabama university shooting (http://www.cnn.com/2010/CRIME/02/13/alabama.university.shooting/)).

I slept 11 hours last night, which is about 4 more than I usually sleep. I now feel like I'm about 89 years old. I always pick the worst times to run out of meds. :)

I also enjoyed the olympic opening ceremonies last night, though Bryan Adams, if you're going to be lipsynching at least have the microphone near your face when we're hearing your voice. Oy! But the whales were amazing.

Today I am helping a friend move for several hours, then getting cleaned up to go out tonight. I have a first draft written that I'm not totally pleased with yet. And I'm waiting to see what my partner thinks, since my brain had gone in a slightly different direction after we spoke last.

I am tired. Started working on the house at 5am. One trip to retrieve a friend's used couch (she got a new one)

Working, working, sitter comes tonight and I have to go to a "social" thing for husband's work. It's two couples from work we have to eat, listen to music and socialize with. I've never met 3 of the 4 people before. Will finally get home at 11p.

This day is too long! My feet hurt so much. I am getting a lot done, just wearing myself out.

I've been out and about this morning after getting a few hours off of work to go to a baby shower for my Sunday School leader's wife. We did an iron-on bar where everyone brought things like hats, bibs, onesies, shirts, etc to put iron-ons on and the iron-ons were provided for us. A really cool and unique idea!

Now I'm just waiting on the girls to get back from spending time out with their dad to have them clean the upstairs while their parents have an afternoon and evening out to themselves.

How sad is it that my day off is Valentine's Day, and I have no one to spend it with other than other single ladies from church?

What is everyone's plans for the weekend?

Had my first draft of my entry done yesterday. Now that I have hooked up with my partner finally I hope we can get stuff done and posted before I have to go off to a full day of work on Monday.

As usual I loved the opening ceremonies of the olympics last night. The lighting of the cauldron sure had me rolling my eyes. They will talk about this one for some time I am sure.

I felt awful about that athlete dying like he did yesterdsay. It was nice to see that the others in the delegation decided to stay in his memory.

Gunna go out and enjoy the spring like weather we are getting today. It does this here every February.

Doing good, came back with a day of shopping and am making stuffed pork chops and potatoes and steamed artichokes. The pork is from pasture raised hogs so should be yummy!

Also went to panera earlier. I brought home bagels, yum. Also shopped at target and bed bath and beyond.

I'm getting antsy. I had my entry written nearly 2 days ago but I'm waiting because I want to see what my partner writes before I post. I think this'll be the first time I won't end up on the first page of entries XD

And this is where I really need to learn the value of patience.

I'm glad more entries were posted while I was asleep, though, because I ran out of things to do yesterday. I even read all the Home Game entries that had been posted!
