OK. Those things really don't have anything directly to do with Black History Month, but they *might*. People celebrate things in all sorts of "interesting" ways, maybe this is just the way I do it!!! :)

SO WHO WATCHED THE GRAMMYS?!

My favorite, like it's any surprise, was Pink. I simply adore her. Her trapeze act, and OUTFIT -omg- was amazing.

I'm also almost finished watching Doctor Who. I just have 5 more specials from '09 to watch and I'll be up-to-date.

Have a snow day from work. Seems our city doesn't have the right equipment to get the ice off the roads when the temps don't rise very high. We're used to snow/ice followed by sun and higher temps that make it all disappear in 24 hours.

Using the ljidol.info site to try and read in pairs. Kind of frustrated by not being able to figure out how we're doing in the polls!

Is it just me or do the voting totals seem really low this round?

The only reason I mention it is because, by this point, we usually have at least ONE person if not two with upwards of 60+ votes.

Our start date for the short term 2-4 week contract job got pushed back to next Monday. Good news is that Carrie has an interview for at least a 1 year contract position for a company she's done a lot of work for.

Bad part is - Claudia wants us to go to th philippines for two weeks in May/June.. Taking off two weeks as a contractor is a no-no but we can't put off going, which means we probably won't get that job.

It's a catch-22...need to be working to afford the trip but can't take the time off if we're knee deep in a big project.

Easy Monday! Just a couple of clients and some paperwork. Bad pain levels today... I'm living in the worst area in the country for a chronic pain weenie, for sure. Cold and drizzly!

My gorgeous girlfriend is going to an informational meeting tonight to help her decide whether she wants to get back into school (she just finished her masters) and become the second broke doctor in the house. :)

Started the day with a dentist appt, so February's got nowhere to go but up, right? Hubby has gone to the pharmacy to pick up my prescriptions, and I'm supposed to keep an ice pack on my face periodically till midafternoon. Hope there's some good trasy daytime tv to keep me occupied...!

I just spent the weekend sans the kiddo, my parents took her to Arizona with them and I got to spend some alone time with my boyfriend :D teehee.

But she is back here now and enjoying it. Although this week I am taking her out there, this time, haha.

It's a drizzly cold day here, which is aggravating the back today. So I've been working in the studio with a heating pad behind me. It's helping some and I'm making good work progress. Just took a quick lunch break to have some leftover shrimp lo mein and fix a cup of Mate Vana tea with vanilla Silk in it. Yummo.

Howdy Howdy Howdy all! I hope everybody had a fantastical kinda weekend.

I didn't get the downtime I was so desperately needing... nothing seemed to go as I planned this weekend. And I just wanna do nothing for a wee bit. Is that too much to ask? lol...

Oh! And after getting so geeked up for jury duty this week, I called and was told to not report today! Bastards! It kinda feels like being on the playground as the kids are picking teams and you're like the one left out because nobody wants ya! Booooo! Oh well... I still have to call in the rest of the week so I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Still making my way through the entries... there is some really great stuff this week. Seems like a lot of folks really stepped it up.

The vote totals are as of about 1pm eastern time today.

I didn't really vote by team, I voted for each entry separately. My knockout favorites this week were twistersflower, itswhatiam,amenquohi, and fourzoas. I voted for a lot more than that, but those were the ones that knocked my socks off.
