With [livejournal.com profile] bloodread leaving our ranks, the Topsy Turvey power has bounced out of her pocket and back into play.
Whoever ends up with the least votes this week will receive this power, a power to make the most powerful into the least and the least powerful the greatest. The power to transform this game, and it's good between now and the TOP 25.

Did you read that right? Yes, oh yes you did.

The person with the MOST votes this week gets to name a topic for next week.

Voting starts now and will end Monday, March 5 at 1 pm EST (GMT-5). Good luck — or should that be bad luck? Heh, I guess that depends on which way you want to play the game this week!

...so does that mean you're supposed to vote for people whose entries you DON'T like...?

...I think I'll abstain. I have a headache.

You're making people gamble and strategize! Hee. I dig it. I just voted as I normally would.

Wow... I gotta say so far, even this early in the voting, it's one of the most 'even' votes I've seen yet.

So ... huh. That's interesting. (clears throat)

Don't vote for me.

Oh, and if you already DID vote for me, click on the poll link and then on the "Fill Out Poll" link to de-select my vote.

Do the same for everyone else you want to "win".

And I promise that if I get the Topsy Turvy...I absolutely will NOT use it.

Ditto!

Although I don't seem to really be in the running, heh.

...so is the fact you voted for me in the first place a good thing or bad thing...? I'm so confused, heh.

These votes, in general, seem to relate less and less to essay quality.

Why bother trying to write good essays when the result is a potential topsy turvy?

I read yours. It was excellent. Your responses reflected that. After thinking about the options, I decided it was best for the better entries not to win. Or lose. So, yeah, I deselected you.

Curiouser and curiouser. :)

heh. I figure it will cause people with large friends lists not to push as hard as they could to get in votes, which will (hopefully) even the playing field a little more with people who produce quality entries but don't have as big support bases.

At least that is the theory, I guess we will see how it actually plays itself out. The whole reward votes were a season two addition, after people complained that they got in their entries, but in the first several rounds there was no way of gauging response, and they didn't get a chance to vote for anything due to other people not getting their entries in. . . so I *am* listening and monkeying with things as we go to make for a better experience (again, hopefully) for everyone who has taken the time and effort to participate.

I don't push my friends list much as is. One post, that's it.

I WAS autumn_lyric and now I'm [livejournal.com profile] oberonia. I'm sorry if there was any confusion.
