Is your entry there?
Is it something that you are proud to be eliminated on? After all, every week is another chance to find new readers and the closer we get to the finale, the more of them tend to show up.
Much like contestants, some people just go "there's too many to read!!!" and don't show up until the numbers start going on, when they expect to see something amazing. Or at least a fascinating trainwreck. ;)
You have to assume that every time is going to be the first time someone reads you.
What are you telling them about who you are and why they should come back to read more?

Date: 2010-01-15 02:43 pm (UTC)And I'm catching up on work, now that I have tapered off a bit on searching updates on the orphanages in Haiti ... we know everyone at the one my sister is adopting from are safe, unfortunately there are some which weren't as lucky :( Now it's scared waiting if they will get food, water, medical care, and if they won't be hit with epidemics :(

I had a fabulous time getting into one of their heads, at 3 years old, and imagining what it felt like to have all that freedom at his disposal :)
