Apparently it's the weekend now - WHY DID NO ONE TELL ME???

Seriously people. Someone is supposed to be in charge of letting me know these things. Who fell down on the job? Was it due to a New Year's Eve induced hangover? Was it due to the movie the Hangover? Were you unable to move due to finding your pants securely wrapped around your ankles and a strange odor coming from the other room? Maybe that one was just me. . .

There is one IMPORTANT REMINDER that I need to make sure to let you know - and tell your friends about it too. . . the NEW TOPIC is going up on Monday. Probably early. But definitely on Monday.

This is the longest break that I've *ever* given - I hope that it is not repaid with a massive bye out. (and we have a 50+ contestant potential bye out looming. . .) My hope is that once we got passed the toughest part of the schedule that everyone would show up in the new year ready to write. I guess we will see how realistic that hope was!

How has 2010 been treating you so far? Are you still writing 2008 on your checks? Do you still even have checks anymore? Have some of the younger contestants even seen an actual check? ;)

And I'm ready to get back to writing -- I need to do SOMETHING productive/creative because I've been averaging 10 hours of sleep a day, staying up til 3AM regularly, and worn out 3 pairs of pajamas...I'm kind of ready for RL (and lj-idol) to start again. :D

Is it really 2010?

Spent most of the holidays sick, and now that I *was* better I'm getting sick again, the little one already IS sick again and SO is going through the worst. We're starting to think it's actually the 'other' manifestation of mexican flu - the one that doesn't look like a typical flu.

But I sure hope 2010 will be better :) I'm always a little wary about January though.

Is it bad that I keep having dyslexic moments and typing "01" instead of "10"? Yeah, I thought so.

Been an insanely busy weekend and it's not even over yet. It's 7pm and I want to go to bed now. I still have gifts to wrap because tomorrow we're heading to my family's house to finally have Christmas. I feel a headache coming on and I just want to go to sleep. Blah.

I'm ready for the next round.

How amusing... I just blogged about the fact that today was the first time in a long time that a Saturday FELT like a Saturday.

My cupboards and freezers and pantry shelves are full of food. That makes a damn good start to 2010 in my eyes.

2010 has been interesting thus far. I got to see a good friend today and caught up with each other. We ended up closing down the coffee shop!

But, I ended up being an hour late because I got a flat tire on the interstate. At least AAA was able to get me back on the road quickly and the service truck guy was cute.

I'm beginning the new year with a full house, which will increase by 1 on Tuesday. All for my niece's 1st birthday. Right now, sis, b-i-l, niece, 3 dogs, 3 cats are added to me and my parents. Tuesday my grandma comes in and is staying through Sunday. Saturday is the big shindig. I'm kind of glad that PT employee me will probably be working 8 hour days this coming week-its the week before classes start and first week open since before Christmas. It will be hectic but it will get me out of my house.

I also plan to go to yoga at least once this coming week.

Just hope I have time to craft a good entry for whatever topic is thrown at us.

I had a very nice New Year, with no hangover or unpleasantries. And even got to enjoy relaxing weekend time and activities. In the past few days I've done a ton of knitting, which is pretty awesome.

I'm excited about new topic! I'm ready to write! It better be a good one. ;)

2010 is treating me awesomely. I'm ready to head out into the world and make this an awesometastic year. Actually, if all goes well, it could be a monumental year. And, no, I've yet to write the wrong year on anything yet, but I also haven't been to work--which is where I have to date documentation all the time. So, we'll see how Monday goes.

Still recovering from NYE and the day after when we had more people over (not because I drank, but because my immune system=crap, and I have an upper respiratory infection on top of my autoimmune illness issues). But I have tons of good pictures, a lot of great memories, food in my cupboards, a roof over my head, a husband who is making me homemade chicken noodle soup, and two kittens curled up next to me, so despite being sick, I shouldn't complain :)

I wrote 2010 on one check thus far, and I actually giggled when I did it. Clearly, I am easily amused. Or just delirious because of the fever. Let's just go with the former, if you all don't mind :)

I'm continuing on my mission to whip this apartment into shape. Sadly I spent most of the afternoon sorting and mentally indexing my jewelry making collection. I think I have enough now to start some stock to sell, if I can find the time to make it.

Tomorrow we're heading north to Gurnee to the big shopping center to meet my in-laws and spend the gift cards we get every year from hubby's uncle. Then it's back to work on Monday.

Tell the truth, I've really missed the whole buzz and interaction of Idol - next year, no time off for holidays, OK, Gary?!

I'm not allowed a cheque book with the type of account I have. It's a real nuisance - I didn't write cheques often, but needing to get cash for the times when I do or figuring out an alternative for the post is a pain. And the UK reckons they're going cheque free within the next few years. Ugh.

So far I'm still dealing with leftover crap from '09. Due to the doctor shenanigans I'm down to 3 painpills (I normally take 8/day, the maximum dose) to last me until my intake appt on Tuesday. If the dr doesn't give me more I'm going to break down and cry in her office. For realz.

On the good side, I just sent my husband to the grocery to get toilet tissue, hummus and pita chips. It's been over a year since I could do that. The fact that I can do that now makes me very happy.
