It's that time again - time to announce the bye-outs and to officially announce which tribe received immunity this week.

A little bit of a good news/bad news post, only in the opposite order.

Two individuals, who would have byed-out, officially dropped out before the deadline. Which amounts to the same thing in the long run, they are no longer with us. But they were able to let us know and I really appreciate that:

[livejournal.com profile] abbismom
[livejournal.com profile] soundscool1

The following contestants used up their last bye, and missed this deadline - and are saying goodbye to us this week, including someone that I can honestly say was the favorite non-human contestant of the season:

[livejournal.com profile] angelic_mystic
[livejournal.com profile] crushdmb
[livejournal.com profile] elfwench
[livejournal.com profile] fortunesfoole
[livejournal.com profile] grantful
[livejournal.com profile] kes_trelah
[livejournal.com profile] lilly_rose
[livejournal.com profile] rougebaiser
[livejournal.com profile] ryca

Goodbye to all of you, and thank you for coming out. I hope that you are planning on sticking around and continuing to support your favorites!

****

Now for the good news - well, good news for one tribe at least.

Once again, it came down to *1* extra bye, but in the end, the tribe that will not be losing anyone this week is
Tribe Lynxypoo's Bye

Congratulations.

Wow. Now I am really glad that I wrote my entry rather than taking my bye.

Wow - that's a lot of good people leaving us! *is sad*

That IS a lot of people leaving :( Starting to narrow it all down now...

That being said, I'm glad our new tribe did so well with not taking so many byes, but of all weeks - wish it could have been another, since I actually think I wrote a semi-decent entry this time around (she said with a falsified sense of confidence, haha).

But still, I shall not look a gift horse in the mouth (and insert other cliches here), so... I (and everyone else in Lynxypoo's tribe) live to fightwrite another week!

I feel the same way about my entry, LOL. Yay for us being in the immune tribe, though. :)

Haha, I figured I wasn't alone in my feeling. Though immunity DOES kick a certain amount of ass, I wish it would have been for another week.

I think that is the dark side of immunity. :P

Ahh, the dark side indeed.

Are there cookies? I'd like one, if so.

Same tribe, and immunity! I hope we can keep it up next week, immunity is nice to have. My first one ever!

Yeah, it is kind of cool to happen. I just wish it could have been for another week, but hell, again, I'm not going to shun what was handed to me/us :)

Wow, are there usually this many bye-outs each season?

I am quite excited with the immunity this week, I don't think my entry was quite as well received as one would hope...perhaps we're soon reaching a time where I have to think about my audience a bit more. :)

There haven't been this many entrants in seasons past...

And yay for immunity!

Remember to think about the timing, though, too... the polls JUST went up, and I've only read ONE entry so far. So, there's still voting time... don't fret over it too much.

That'll be up to Gary. It helps if you've been playing the home game while out to give people a sense of whether you're someone they want back in but it's usually been up to an individual and down to a special power randomly sprung on us.

It's when you're not officially part of the contest but you write something to fit the prompts anyway. Later in the game, Gary may well do separate Home Game threads like the official contestant ones but for the moment, if you want people to know about it outside of your f-list, mention in the Green Room that you've written one.

Some of these people will really be missed. I think there is a lot of talent going out this week which is sad to see.

Yay for immunity though, that makes me happy.

I'm still reading entries, only on page 2.

Oh, man, there are some writers here I'm really sad to see go. Especially [livejournal.com profile] kes_trelah, who I thought was getting stronger every week. Alas!

Not thrilled about my bye-out, in all honesty. RL kicked my backside. Plan on playing the home game.

Wouldn't [personal profile] lilly_rose count as a drop since she declared her drop? I'm just asking because I'm not sure if dropping saving a member of your tribe thing is still happening.

Dropping to save your tribe mates only works if someone drops out while a poll is running.

Not only was I too busy to write an entry, I was too busy to let you know that I needed a bye week. Sorry, Gary! :)

So sad to see so many people going again. However, I am ECSTATIC that my tribe finally has immunity! Especially since I don't feel my entry was up to par this week.

woah immunity twice in one week. i should feel happy, but somehow i feel cheated out of the excitement and anxiety of the poll. weird right? maybe I've been doing this contest for too long, lol.

good luck everyone. i've still got a lot of reading to do before tuesday. hope to spend a few hours reading entries tomorrow.

also sorry i haven't been commenting much lately. I sort of got a part time job.

and sorry to see so many people go, that's too many at once if you ask me!

Egads, sorry to see so many people go again. That's a fistful of writers!

Assuming my spreadsheet is correct - I had started reading entries so I haven't downloaded the latest one from ljidol.info - it would seem that there are only 125 entries to read this week. Amazing. I might actually have some free time this weekend. :D

Ugh!!!

I'm really sad to see abbismom go. There are others on that list that I would have preferred stay as well, but she got to the finals last time for very good reason and it's a real pity we won't get to read more of her stories unless she is able to home game it.

Date: 2009-12-06 11:52 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] rattsu.livejournal.com
Awwww so that is the reason? Yeah, I was cursing as well, I was really enjoying her entries. However, real life is more important!

I'm *so* upset about abbismom having to leave. :(

I can tell you, though, I understand. I'm ashamed to admit that I put my post together in the 20 minutes before dead line last night. I almost took myself out of the game.

Date: 2009-12-06 08:28 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] hightekvagabond.livejournal.com
yeah, I put mine together like that too... I posted my bye, then went to a tournament all day surrounded by screaming elementary students, but got lucky that we got a 20 minute break that I could write something to post on my laptop and slap it in at the last minute when I got home, so I was actually able to delete my bye.

I'm glad Gary didn't force me to keep the bye up, I expect I'll want to use it later.

I'm sorry, but according to my updated definition here in the latest "Vampire Dictionary" your vampires must both Twinkle and insight lustful thoughts in 40+yr old women which would be considered creepy if the vampire were human.

I can't think of a single 40+ year old woman I know who won't fall instantly in love with Barnabathius, because he emits vampire sex pheromones.
