Yes, it's looking like a decent amount of byes this week, which means with the new tribes who ends up with tribal immunity is going to be down to the wire. Every post counts toward helping out your tribe - and let's face it, putting out your best work, in a time when there are a bunch of byes, helps you. Especially if you might not be getting the attention you feel that a particular piece has deserved. The fewer entries, the more attention there is going to be focused on the entries that *are* there.

I was going to do the Santa Parade today, but obviously that did not happen. I guess that's one more strike for me toward being on the naughty list!

I was going to go to the local Christmas Stroll tonight, but we've got a moderately inconvenient snowstorm going on and I'm not sure if I will or not. I just hope it clears enough for me to make my planned trip to the next town over tomorrow -- 30 miles up a mountain pass through snow is not my favorite :/

Just got back from Carcassonne, it was a blast. Took bunches of photos :) Bought a couple souvenirs/xmas presents!

About to go out and enjoy a bit of the Christmas Market. Might take more photos. Might buy more souvenirs/xmas presents. Hoping to find these peruvian guys who make really pretty jewelry- haven't seen them since august!

AND tomorrow it's back to the grind. Hopefully going to crank out 3 pages (single spaced) of a paper so I can proofread and fix all of the inevitable grammar mistakes monday morning. hooo-rah.

I'm watching the snow out my window; I'm actually playing a computer strategy game with my partner [shock!]; I'm trying to work on a spreadsheet; I'm running some laundry and some dishes; I'm boiling up some chicken for tacos tonight; and I'm trying to get my Idol entry jelled. It's going in so many directions now.

wanted to be naughty this weekend - but I think we're going to be nice - Carrie offered to go with her SO to drive her friend to the airport (there's lunch involved as well). But we were out until 3 AM last night - so we really don't feel like it..I want to go back to sleep dammit!

Hubby sent me a text this morning that said "Snow!" because he knows I'd be excited, but I slept through it. Just wet and gray out now. Bleh.

Leave it to me to finally think of something to write for this week now, when I've only got a few hours to go. I usually need three days to write and rewrite. Let's see how this works out... but at least I probably won't need to use my bye!

I see you made it... congrats! This week's entry was kind of a bitch for me, too, and, as it turned out, somewhat needlessly so. I'd done a lot of research and prep work over the last four days, and still cut out more than half of what I'd planned to include by the time I finally did sit down and write it out... I guess I should start doing that sooner, and then if I need to go back and do more fill in, I can always add more later... I hate coming down to the last minute every week. But, yeah, hurray for not blowing a bye!

Did some christmas shopping, some meal planning. Spent some time with hubby and pup. Got some grocery shopping and other errands, then OMG SO MUCH HOMEWORK. *sigh* Have I mentioned lately that I hate this point of the semester?

Anxious about my entry! It's in, but if everyone is as behind in reading as I am, I worry about it getting read. (Although, I started randomizing how I'm reading this week so that some of the later posters, like me, will get attention).

My plans for this evening are to attend a Chester Greenwood Day party here in the city. For all of you going, "People celebrate outside of Farmington, Maine?! What have I been missing all these years!?!" It's true. One of my former high school classmates has organized festivities for us transplants (and friends of Farmington) to celebrate our hometown hero (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chester_Greenwood) even though we are far from home.

Not sure what else I'll be doing this weekend. But, you know, how much more excitement can one girl handle?

I did not get to sleep in today. :( Had to be up to take the dog out (we take turns on the weekend) and get ready for a meeting. Just now got back from Sarasota and I'm exhausted. Have a ton of tabs open to read a bunch of entries to stay caught up. Rest of the day involves doing my organization stuff for the guild and trying to stay awake until bedtime.

Tomorrow involves finishing my last crocheted holiday gift, watching football, and cleaning my studio.

Wow, I was sure I was taking a bye this week, work has been hell all week and then it was the regional tournament for lego league for the team I coach.... but I had 20 minutes to at least throw something together during a break at the tournament.

Not my best work ever but at least I don't have to feel like a copped out. :)
