Green Room - Week 6 - Day 2
Dec. 1st, 2009 09:07 amGood morning.
Have you turned in your entry for this week yet? Did you notice that the topic was up at all or are you still in a turkey induced coma? Are you in a turkey induced comma? A turkey induced semicolon? A turkey induced colonoscopy?
Whatever the case, get out of your slumber and stumble over to
http://community.livejournal.com/therealljidol/275605.html to turn in your entry and/or check out some of the ones already submitted!
***
So what's going on in your neck of the woods?
***
There's an interview with some guy over at www.ljidol.info about Season 6 if anyone is interested.

Date: 2009-12-01 02:20 pm (UTC)Today's plans? Totally bailing on work and having a day of fun and debauchery with my bestest friend, Mare. Our schedules rarely work to where we can just go hang out for a day and be silly, so we're both stoked that we're able to do so now (the original plan was for a month ago, but she got sick and then I got sick, so we kept rescheduling). Leaving in a few and will be away from the computer most of the day.

Date: 2009-12-01 02:56 pm (UTC)I'm also starting to make chainmaille dice bags again, and am anxiously watching the various sites from which I ordered supplies to see what state the order is in... currently all are "processing" - well, aside from the cord that's shipped and should arrive tomorrow or the next day. Any advise on setting up an Etsy store is welcome. Also just realized I need to come up with a name for the store. Um... it's hard enough naming characters, let alone this.
And I'm going through D&D withdrawal: it's been quite a few weeks since I've played Not to mention, caffeine withdrawal... time for my first cup!

Okay, I'm going to write the rest in my journal, this is starting to look like a regular swampedwithcrap!1!-entry.

Date: 2009-12-01 05:42 pm (UTC)I've shocked myself with having an idea for this topic before the final day of turn-ins. Perhaps the tryptophan has finally worn off! Of course, there is the whole writing it thing still to do. :-)
In my neck of the woods? Ain't nothin' goin' on but the rent as the old song goes. At least I think it was an old song... perhaps the turkey still does have partial control of my mind.
Hope everybody's having a great day!

Date: 2009-12-02 12:33 am (UTC)I'm one of the mass of fiction writers mentioned this year, and I personally chose it to challenge myself. As a fairly new writer, finding creative ways to hit the prompts and advance a single story arch is so exhilarating.
It's such a fantastic learning experience so thanks for having me!

Date: 2009-12-01 06:51 pm (UTC)I think I'll be trying to do a little LJ catch up once I'm back, but not much.
Still need to work on my entry. I feel so out of practice at the moment! Too much time away from thoughtful writing ;)
No turkey coma for me, though. I'm a vegetarian. Although I did eat far more stuffing than I ought to have. My plans now are to let my body detox because I've ingested far more dairy than my poor allergic body can handle.
Hope everyone is well!

Date: 2009-12-01 08:29 pm (UTC)What? No Tofurkey for you? You could have had a pseudo-turkey coma!
Definitely purge that dairy outta your system... that can be so not fun.
Hope you're doing well and it'll be nice to see you around more often. :-)

Date: 2009-12-01 08:08 pm (UTC)My day is pretty boring, as usual. Applying to jobs. I have decided to expand my search. That makes me sad because I just got to move back close to family after graduate school and I hate moving far away. But I need work and there isn't anything in my field in MO that I haven't applied for. Still waiting to hear about one job that I really want. I would still have to move, but I would still be in the state of MO. The jobs I applied for today are in FL, CA and NYC. Scary for me. But I figure even if it is scary, it could also be exciting to move somewhere completely different again.

Date: 2009-12-01 08:30 pm (UTC)What is your field anyway? Good luck on the search. I hope you find something soon!
