Good morning.

Have you turned in your entry for this week yet? Did you notice that the topic was up at all or are you still in a turkey induced coma? Are you in a turkey induced comma? A turkey induced semicolon? A turkey induced colonoscopy?

Whatever the case, get out of your slumber and stumble over to
http://community.livejournal.com/therealljidol/275605.html to turn in your entry and/or check out some of the ones already submitted!

***

So what's going on in your neck of the woods?

***

There's an interview with some guy over at www.ljidol.info about Season 6 if anyone is interested.

Still fighting the turkey induced coma here....
Beyond that back to work today after a nice 5 days off and working on trying to get the creative juices flowing for this new topic. So far nothing is popping into my mind.

Have a good one all!

You're having trytophan brain blockage, methinks. :-)

Hope you get through your day!

Still can't come up with a solid idea. Gonna let it simmer today and see what forms.

Today's plans? Totally bailing on work and having a day of fun and debauchery with my bestest friend, Mare. Our schedules rarely work to where we can just go hang out for a day and be silly, so we're both stoked that we're able to do so now (the original plan was for a month ago, but she got sick and then I got sick, so we kept rescheduling). Leaving in a few and will be away from the computer most of the day.

Company Christmas luncheon on Friday, though, and I can't wait.

sooo may have to take a bye this week. I'm swamped with stuff I'm writing for various fanfic festivals, and I really need to focus on that. We'll see where I am on Friday and decide then.

bonus: there is no turkey left at my house. Thank goodness we had eleven people over for dinner. :)

I'm still nibbling on some leftover turkey for breakfast this morning, along with a bit of cornbread dressing.

'tis a fowl period, I tell you.

Not yet inspired to write about this topic, but I'm sure something will come up soon... must percolate. :)

Finished my post last night! I am getting a little worried that my posts are getting more elaborate and that I am going to have a tough time keeping up with myself! I just need to scan it and post it!

Having minor (?) surgery to correct an abdominal hernia on Dec. 11th. That's the big news.

I'm also starting to make chainmaille dice bags again, and am anxiously watching the various sites from which I ordered supplies to see what state the order is in... currently all are "processing" - well, aside from the cord that's shipped and should arrive tomorrow or the next day. Any advise on setting up an Etsy store is welcome. Also just realized I need to come up with a name for the store. Um... it's hard enough naming characters, let alone this.

And I'm going through D&D withdrawal: it's been quite a few weeks since I've played Not to mention, caffeine withdrawal... time for my first cup!

Swamped with work - 19 pages of FAQ that need to be translated into English and Dutch. And that's just the first 19 page set I've gotten, there's 2 more. Site must be up by the end of January 0_0. Also some 65 film cards still left to do, as well as an automated translation dictionary for recurring terms, plus the news items and Christmas newsletter and start of the new year and session result announcements. That's just for the part time job though!

Also called for a house and ordered various-

Okay, I'm going to write the rest in my journal, this is starting to look like a regular swampedwithcrap!1!-entry.

Honestly, I am in awe of translators and interpreters. I'm happy to speak or write something in a whole lot of languages, but my brain fries whenever I try to do any translation or interpretation.

Still letting the ideas putter about in my brain, I think I will fail in my goal to try a short one though, since the entry that just keeps popping back up is fiction. Yes, it would be my first fiction entry, not sure how I feel about that yet.

Getting it in early gives me time to start reading the others so I'm not crammed this weekend.

I've got an idea for an entry, but I'm so afraid it it'll end up being tl;dr. But it's the best idea I have. I don't really want to take a bye unless I really have to...so we'll see what happens.

I have a job interview tomorrow morning...and I really need the job. Those of you who are so inclined, I could really use your prayers and well wishes.

I prefer to keep the turkeys out of my colon, thank you.

I've shocked myself with having an idea for this topic before the final day of turn-ins. Perhaps the tryptophan has finally worn off! Of course, there is the whole writing it thing still to do. :-)

In my neck of the woods? Ain't nothin' goin' on but the rent as the old song goes. At least I think it was an old song... perhaps the turkey still does have partial control of my mind.

Hope everybody's having a great day!

I enjoyed the interview! This is my first season and I'm definitely loving it.

I'm one of the mass of fiction writers mentioned this year, and I personally chose it to challenge myself. As a fairly new writer, finding creative ways to hit the prompts and advance a single story arch is so exhilarating.

It's such a fantastic learning experience so thanks for having me!

I'm currently in Boston waiting for the bus to NYC. It's strange to be returning after so long away.

I think I'll be trying to do a little LJ catch up once I'm back, but not much.

Still need to work on my entry. I feel so out of practice at the moment! Too much time away from thoughtful writing ;)

No turkey coma for me, though. I'm a vegetarian. Although I did eat far more stuffing than I ought to have. My plans now are to let my body detox because I've ingested far more dairy than my poor allergic body can handle.

Hope everyone is well!

Well almost welcome home. :-)

What? No Tofurkey for you? You could have had a pseudo-turkey coma!

Definitely purge that dairy outta your system... that can be so not fun.

Hope you're doing well and it'll be nice to see you around more often. :-)

I was shocked I posted the first entry for the second time so far. Let's hope that it manages to be good enough to keep me in though...

My day is pretty boring, as usual. Applying to jobs. I have decided to expand my search. That makes me sad because I just got to move back close to family after graduate school and I hate moving far away. But I need work and there isn't anything in my field in MO that I haven't applied for. Still waiting to hear about one job that I really want. I would still have to move, but I would still be in the state of MO. The jobs I applied for today are in FL, CA and NYC. Scary for me. But I figure even if it is scary, it could also be exciting to move somewhere completely different again.

California has its good points. :-)

What is your field anyway? Good luck on the search. I hope you find something soon!
