Happy Armsitice Day!

(The US has a different focus altogether on it, - Veterans Day - so happy that too!)

Happy Remembrance Day to those weirdo foreigners to the north.

The new topic is up. Or rather, the Choose Your Own Adventure topic(s are up!

There is also a run off between [livejournal.com profile] danialtravieso and [livejournal.com profile] marjory happening

http://community.livejournal.com/therealljidol/268414.html

While over there, you have the chance to say goodbye to the latest group of contestants leaving us.

Not enough going on? How about "99,941 comments received" as of this moment. What does that mean? It means someone today is going to be the one to claim the 100,000th comment. Who will it end up being? Unlike 'FIRST'! that's something that is going to only come around once!

100,000 have been achieved! Congratulations to all of us. It's one of those ticks on the odometer! It appears that this one was claimed by [livejournal.com profile] chalkolitlover!! (or maybe [livejournal.com profile] kittenboo - heh, you guys can fight it out!)

Here's to 100,000 more!

Still not enough? Then I'll break character a bit and point you toward a couple cool "fan series" that I've recently discovered:
Love the Joker? Who doesn't? Our own season 1 winner [livejournal.com profile] tinhuviel actually does some promotional work with this guy: http://www.youtube.com/TheJokerBlogs or thejokerblogs.com

There is also a fan made "Dr Horrible prequel" that was released last night: http://www.horribleturn.com/watch/

Speaking of fan efforts, it's always worth a visit to see what is going on over at www.ljidol.info!

All of that should be enough to suck that last bit of free time away today!! But just in case - What else have you got going on?

EXACTLY!! Right now I'm going "well, there's this way I could write that one, or this way or this way... but then there's THAT one, and I could write this... OR THIS.... But then there's this OTHER one... *brain splodes*"

EXACTLY! You're talking to miss control-freak-write-the-entry-in-her-head-before-she-types-it-out here. I'm leaning toward the Apathy topic, just because I've had the most thoughts about it, but I've got a lovely rant stored up for the Current Events topic, too...

I know, I was just thinking about a Current Topics type entry in my head and had it all written out (in my head) just for my flist to enjoy, and it seems so appropriate... but some of the other topics listed might spark a little more ingenuity in me and I prefer those types of entries for my LJ Idol competing...

I think what's going to happen is, I'm going to go home, and force myself tow rite something before I can do anything else... and therefore whatever comes out, will be what I post. XD

Don't mind me. Sometimes it takes me awhile, fellow chocolate lover!

It's actually got two different meanings. You got the chocolate part. The reason I spelled it the way I did is because I'm (well, I was before the economy got sucky) an English teacher. "Chalk" o "lit" lover. Get it?

I know, I have WAY too much time on my hands.

Holy crap, you too? English teacher? What grades? I taught 7th and 8th back oh, about a hundred years ago before the economy became sucky then!

I taught 10th grade English last year. The kids were pretty good...it was the standardized testing that drove me nuts!

I was in the days before standardized testing went nuts -- I only had to worry about the state-mandated 8th grade assessment, and it was something nobody could "teach to" because it covered all subjects and the questions changed every year. What drove me nuts was one particularly rowdy class -- basically good kids, but all their hormone levels went haywire midyear and you nearly had to scrape them off the walls at some point during class!

I noticed the chocolate a long time ago on your name, but never saw the chalk or the lit bit! *grin* LOVE IT

I noticed the chalk. I thought the "lit" was just netspeek. Oops! XD

Oh don't worry, I did the same thing. I kept going "yaknow, that word kinda looks familiar... No worries!" then just clicks the "post comment" button. I had to actually read it to go "oooooooooooohhh that's whyyyyyyyy"
