Ah, Monday my dreaded foe. We meet again.

Yesterday, I learned that eating mysterious, potentially scorchingly-hot, peppers might lead to serious repercussions. At the same time I learned that hot peppers have a really strong suppressant effect on my appetite.*

My new diet? Eat a nice breakfast, followed by a hot pepper (Scoville unites around 30,000 or so). Skip lunch due to not being at all hungry. Eat only when hungry.

Well, my plan is type up folks' leases and get them to come sign them early so I'm not overwhelmed over the weekend.

That should have me busy enough to keep from hitting "refresh" all day long...

Well let's see... This week I have to move a crapton of stuff from one room of the house to another... Oh, and finish my Halloween outfit (we dress up at work, best work EVER).

This weekend I went to HALLOWEEKENDS at Cedar Point which was SO MUCH FUN OMG AWESOME!!! Totally going again next year all prepared and WILL be doing more coaster riding.

Oh and now that I have a REALLY COOL NEW computer, I'll be spending most of my evenings plastered to it and just now starting 25man raids on ToC. Looking forward! :D

I just realized night before last that I move out in about two months. And realized last night that this is mighty scary business! Better ramp up the packing!

I'm probably going to drop by a friend's later today, and nab her boyfriend for a while so he can help me figure out my Java assignment so I can get my diploma. SRS BUSINESS.

Overall, though, I'm proud of myself. Wrote a job application. Wish me luck!

I have to help conduct a training seminar at work today. I am not looking forward to it. But, it should be fine. I'd just rather be sitting at my desk working on the regular tasks that I am expected to complete.

Otherwise, waiting for the results posts. I did my voting and promoted some posts as well. Now to deal with the suspense for the last 12 hours or so.

Today I'm going to willingly have someone stick a large needle in my arm and pump out a pint of blood. That is, if my iron isn't too low since we're poor and don't eat a lot of meat (but beans are protein too, right?)

Other than that...looking for full-time work and keeping an eye on the cat. Exciting stuff.

Massively chopped my hair over the weekend. Bought a cheap blue wig; haven't worn it yet. Still trying to figure out what to do with my assistance dog--at the end of this week, my lease is up and I'll be camping out at my mom's waiting for the Navy to say we can move, only mom has threatened to euthanize my mobility dog if I bring him into her house and I'm worried that kenneling him for a long period would seriously undermine his training. *sigh* No pressure.

I'm bedridden from MTX side effects today, movers are packing out my house tomorrow, and I'm just a little freaked.

Got a sick teenager at home today. I'm going to have to wake him up and force some food down his throat 'cause his antibiotic can't be taken on an empty stomach.

On the up side, I got invited to a Halloween party so I get to dress up again this year. I think I'm gonna pull out the Princess Fiona costume I made last year, rather than making a new one with just a week to work on it.

Anyone else dressing up this year? What do you plan to wear?

Just got back home from our visit to Seattle. Got to meet up with the lovely misalady and her boyfriend, and the four of us drove up to Mt. Rainier National Park together - it was fun, and very beautiful!

We left Seattle on the red-eye (midnight Pacific time), flew four hours to Cincinnati, and just got back home half an hour ago. And on top of the serious lack of sleep I'm going in to work for half of the day this afternoon... just because I'm masochistic that way, LOL. :)

Feeling a bit depressed. I'm usually really excited about Halloween. But, this year not so much.

Work didn't announce holiday plans until last Thursday, and my new supervisor didn't believe me when I brought it up in the team meeting two weeks ago. So, out of a team of 6, we have 2 people willing to participate.

CM's another person who looks forward to Halloween all year long, and this year money problems, job problems, and kid problems have all come to mean no money and no time to arrange a party for herself. Plus, she was tricked into arranging a party for a friend's wife (and the wife openly doesn't like her) and doesn't feel comfortable backing out. Although, it is that kind of "I'll do something nice for you even knowing that you'd never do something nice for me" personality that I love about her. Still, it is sad that our friend would take advantage of her in the first place.

And, another friend of mine didn't invite me to her Halloween party this year. I was looking forward to it and got caught up in the Rat Race that is my life and didn't realize that I hadn't got an invite until I saw pictures of the party on her Facebook.

So, I'm a little down today. I may rant about much of this in my own journal on my afternoon break.

While this weekend was work-work-work-work, today will be light. I'm going to a seminar (free cookies!), out to lunch with a friend, then I have a small amount of work in the lab (unless the spin-coater malfunctions again).
At some point I need to clean my apartment. It is getting messy.
