I found last season that if I started hitting refresh, I didn't stop until the poll was over, so this season I'm taking a new tactic: I surf to a different site, read (or watch) it for a few minutes, THEN check the poll.

I've upped my productivity 100%!

Today I've got to clean the house and get two days worth of work done. Argh. And try not to refresh too much. ;-) We have a friend coming over tonight for dinner and I haven't had time to clean the house with everything going on with my dad and work.

Oh, and thank you to everyone for the good thoughts for my daddy over the last couple of days. He's doing great and I checked him out of the hospital yesterday morning at 9:30am. He's home and supposedly resting, but he's probably puttering around the house like he did all day yesterday. He feels great and is now counting down days for when he can do things again (6 weeks no driving & no lifting things over 6 lbs).

Busy day for me: I am sitting at the car dealership right now getting my Mazda serviced then I have to go pick up some sewing supplies for a client rush project. This afternoon I have to work on said rush project, wait for my chimney to be inspected, babysit two adorable kids, and do a fitting for another client.

Oh, and try to keep up with email and any web stuff.

I am on my way to biology class. The worst subject ever. Then off to work, then class again, then work again, then class again. THEN, I'm coming home, passing out, going to work in the morning, taking an exam and THEN going to see So You Think You Can Dance live!!! :)

Tonight I'm going out to dinner at Swanky Restaurant with my coworkers -- a dinner none of us can afford; however, since it's a dinner for a coworker who's going out on maternity leave (and it was her choice of restaurant), none of us can really complain.

Other than that, the usual day-off stuff...grocery shopping :snerk:, running around with The Kidz, chores, yadda-yadda...

Hoping that today will be a better day at work than yesterday. They've been pushing me pretty hard lately, and I've been feeling like an overworked octopus!

This morning the trains were running slow, which means I barely got to work on time. It also means I didn't have a chance to grab my tea before I came in. Mind, I don't have caffeine tea anymore, but I still feel like I need a bit of warm liquid in my belly to function at optimal efficiency in the morning.

Hope everyone else is well. And yeah, been refreshing like crazy.

I'm back at work today! It's amazing how much energy and motivation have resulted from two days lazing my ass on the couch!

Ironically they're sending us home early today because there's a big football game and they want to start clearing out the parking garages and making room for ESPN or whoever is televising it.

Today is Day #1 of cutting my coffee half with decaf- I had horrible headaches for the past two days, and realized I'm physically addicted to caffeine (and didn't make coffee at home, I always buy it at work). I want to enjoy my coffee, not need it- so we'll see how this weaning-off process goes!

On the one hand, I'm tired and stressed and want the weekend to get here so I can sleep in.

On the other hand, I have a playtest this weekend. And, I'm never as prepared for those as I want to be. Of course, I want to be prepared enough to just release the game, but that really isn't possible.

Maybe I'll be able to compromise and sleep in before the players arrive.
