Green Room, Week 1, Day 4

Good morning, campers!

The Green Room is late today because clauderainsrm  is having a root canal and I have the day off and slept in.  Better late than never, right?

Let's get business out of the way first.  Have you been reading the entries?  Have you posted your own entry?  Only a few days left!

I think I've only made a couple of comments so far this season.  I've been technical support for ...3 years?  Something like that.  Gary's said it before, but I'll say it again - if you have technical questions, I can try to help you or reach out to others and get the answer for you.  My email is kithan @ charter.net.  That goes to my blackberry which I always have with me, so if it's something I know off the top of my head, you'll probably get a reply right away.

Other things to note - I have special icons for when y'all start getting sassy about the poll being posted.  :-)  Veteran contestants will tell you I can be bought with any combination of the following:  Pepsi, Cheetos and Bacon.  Gary will tell you I hate all of you, but I don't.  I just hate him.  ;-)

Alright, I've got some farming to finish and errands to run.  You kids behave!  Also, feel free to friend me if you like.  I'm not very posty, but there ya go.

Hi! Happy Monday. I'm here at work and so far it's manageable. But I am not sure for how long. I hear someone in the back office beginning a tantrum and her supervisor is on vacation. so it's me who will have to deal if she blows. Sigh.

I should totally be working today and I am, I'm just not doing it like I should. Laptop is open and I'm distracted by posts and emails and such. But, my current project is sitting on my lap, so I am working. ;-)

The weather in Florida is beautiful but I can't open up the house yet 'cause there's heavy equipment trucks rolling around on the street behind the house. Too noisy! they need to hurry up and finish.

Good morning all!

I have been reading the entries. I've got 3 more to read that were posted between when I went to bed and when I got to work. And, I've gotten some really lovely feedback on my own post.

Last night I baked an apple pie, and was nervous about trying a new crust. But, I had a piece for breakfast this morning and it was pretty damned tasty.

Also, I'm still navigating my way through this place and contemplating adding people to my friends list. I know some people already added me (but I wasn't sure whether to just read my contest entries and are adding everyone or because they want to get to know me). Probably in the next week I'll get up the courage to start trying to befriend people myself.

It was a crazy weekend that went by too quickly, but it was good and merriment was had by all. Last night, I got a baking bug up my pants and made dump cake plus homemade granola bars. It was my first attempt at the latter and they turned out great, I must say.

Hi,

Quiet day here. I have to finish my week one entry. I have other writing to do too. Ah, the life of an aspiring writer.

Right now, I am waiting for my groceries to be delivered. There are good things about living in surburbia and grocery delivery is one of them.

Later, I will go to my nephew's 21st birthday party. There will be lots of family and friends, and it will be loud and boisterous. The menu is barbecue---shredded meats of various types and all the side dishes. I am mostly vegetarian, eating meat only when I'm in the mood. This usually winds up only being a few times a month, and since barbecue isn't my favourite, it won't be tonight. (and as I talk about barbecue, I ponder how we don't generally eat pulled meat with barbecue sauce in southern Ontario, Canada, where I'm from)

Oh, and I'm glad it's not raining today. Hope all have a nice day.

Quiet weekend, just getting over whatever it was that was ailing me for the last week. Nasty bugger.

Ugh...where did my weekend go?

Spent most of it in bed feeling run down as hell. I still have so much to do. I have at least 1 major homework project to finish before tomorrow and I didn't get any housework done. I have to hurry up on that because my puppy is ready to come home now but we're not ready for him yet! Eeep!

I will sheepishly admit I haven't read any entries other than the ones that have popped up on my flist. Between trying to work on homework and impromptu naps I haven't been on LJ much.

I made pizza rolls on Sat. And, CM and I took the kids to the zoo on Sun. We saw lots of animals (although the timber wolves were off display which was disappointing) and people in costume.

CM bought me a plushie lobster (http://thenodrin.livejournal.com/93792.html). It is cute and brown and is holding a crab in its little paws. I haven't named it yet.

We all had a lot of fun.
