As things get closer and the deadlines get tighter together, I do wonder how many folks we will see still on the lists?*g*
Then again, selecting one of the two topics is an important choice and anyone who has read the entries already submitted knows that they are going to have to *deliver* to make it another week.
That said - the folks who still need to turn in their entries are:

Right now I'm just numb. I guess I need time to really absorb the fact that he's gone; he was only 29 years old.

I wish I could say that I can't imagine how that must feel. Unfortunately it's one of those things that tend to stick in your gut for a lifetime. I know that I was a wreck for awhile, kind of just "shut off" and on autopilot.

Date: 2009-02-20 11:05 pm (UTC)I've found a constructive way to deal with it. The Japanese have a custom of folding cranes (1000 to be exact) and then turning them loose in a body of water to honor the soul of the departed. I'm going to get some origami paper --- all shapes, sizes, colors --- and fold that many to take to Memphis. Then I'll let them go in the Mississippi.
I wonder if I could find some with first aid or band-aid themes? He'd sure love that.
