Lou and I took our first walk together on the route to publix I'd been working with my cane for the last few weeks....

And I could have cried it went so damn well. I still can't believe it went so amazingly well. I'm glowing at how freaking splendidly it went down!

I seriously felt like I was flying. omg I... oh gods, I want to do it all over again, and again, and...

Just wow.

I am making a few calls today to set up a couple of rides for next week, and am thinking of trying to relax. I have the day free since Mom's gone up to see Grandma, and Dad's at work. I'm going to sit back and bask, excuse me, will you?

Woke up this morning and froze solid as I stepped out from under the covers. At no point during the night did my wife or I realize that after having our wood stove burning, we forgot to turn the heat back on! It was "on," but it was set at 50 degrees.

COLD!

So I got up at 5 AM, turned up the heat, and wandered around wearing sweatpants, a sweater, AND my bathrobe while my wife slept soundly, comfortably wrapped in our heavy winter blankets.

As she stepped out of bed this morning to a nice 65 degree house (higher than we normally keep it) she asked me "Why is it so cold in here?"

All is well with the world today. It's quiet. I'm all alone here in the local office so lots of time to play here! And my husband bought me a netbook for my birthday! It's gunna take a bit of time to come in but I'm so excited! no more lugging this heavy laptop around!

Recovering from two conventions in two weeks. I blew off Toy Fair today because I was just that tired and there is just that much to do. I might go tomorrow but I am not sure.

I'm coming off a four-day weekend so I'm torn. I like my job but there are other things I like more.

We had a warm spell last week so I'm seeing grass again. I can feel myself climbing out of the mid-winter blues (one day I'll write a song with that title). The urge to hibernate is beginning to fade.

I saw some ambitious crocus greens poking out of the barely thawed ground last week. I hope they don't get frozen when winter comes back.

I am having some (unpaid) time off and I had come up with a very ambitious to do list of things to accomplish. But I just spent the last two days being lazy with my boyfriend, and now that he is back at work I seem to be stuck in the lazy setting. I haven't decided if this is good or bad yet.
