It seems like only yesterday when you were coming in all fresh faced and full of hopes and dreams, and now you're all seasoned veterans. *sniff*

Three Four things about this morning:

1. When my wife woke me up this morning, I told her "Ciara is not available right now. Please leave a message or come back in the spring." Then I rolled back over and went back to sleep. I do not remember doing this, but clearly I talk sense in my sleep. Maybe more than I do when awake.
2. I have a corn muffin, and it ain't bad.
3. Work is annoying.
4. I am astonished to still be playing this week, and still sad/shocked about a number of the eliminations. I'm sort of in this mood where I want to invite all the Idol players over for cookies and milk.

Sleeping for two hours still counts as sleeping, right? Someone had to be at the Metro at 7:30 this morning, instead of 8:15... and someone else stayed up way too late working on graphics and playing AC.

I've earned every one of my long curly grey hairs, and my face is comfortably lived-in.

Today involves catching up on dishes and laundry, finishing up paperwork from NYCC, taking a walk in our balmy mid-40's temperatures, making a crockpot stew, and getting time on my exercise bike.

How long do you usually use your exercise bike when you use it? I have one, but it's currently in the garage because I've been using the Wii and I stopped watching enough TV to warrant using the bike. Anyway, if I remember correctly I used to use it from 20-45 minutes every other day.

All I could offer yesterday was a *peep*, and today's right about there as well so far. Yesterday's migraine broke by evening, but is fighting back today. Doesn't help I woke up every hour and a half :-P and actually got up from 4:30 to 5:30. Daughter woke me at 6-something to tell me she lost her voice, then woke with alarm at 7 to push husband out of bed.

Man, that whole "green machine" and "mean ... " thing takes me back to childhood. My nickname was always Traci Jeanne the Mean Machine...or Green Machine...or Dancing Machine...or Farting Machine...whatever they felt was appropriate at the time, ya know.

I miss it here, but have been so busy with school that I can barely fit in my full range of manic cycles in a day.

Most of today will be spent sleeping -- or working? -- off the aftereffects of the seizure I had last night, right after I dismissed my evening class. Luckily, four students were still there, and luckily, I've started pasting my "what to do if your instructor has a seizure" instructions into all of my syllabi, because I really wanted to say: "I beg your pardon, but I'm not feeling terribly well, and may need some help in a second here." What came out was: "Um."

Fortunately, these are great kids who sprang into action, cushioned my head, and stayed calm. Also, right when the seizure is over, I swear -- totally unintentionally -- in a manner that would startle Samuel L. Jackson, and instead of being shocked, they laughed so hard I thought they were all going to pee.

Caffeine got me through the 8:15 am class I taught this morning. Now I'm home, and hungry, and the cupboard is bare, so maybe a nap before delivery food and another nap might work well.

Been out of bed for a good 2and a half hours at least. Why am I not "awake"? Not even a temper tantrum from Anya has succeeded in waking me up. I'd love to crawl back into bed...

So the hubby stayed home from work yesterday to suprise me. It was nice because it helped me get some things done that I wouldn't have gotten done otherwise.

This morning? Flowers magically appeared in my dining room in between the time he got up and I got up. : D

I wonder what's going to happen next? Fixing the lamp that he keeps saying he will? hehe.

*waves* am really pissed off at our temp agency right now..

Still no news whether we still have a job or not - meanwhile we not receiving any income and cannot file for unemployment since they refuse to "release" us from their employ since they're still waiting to hear back from their client that by mistake ended our contract prematurely.

*sighs*.

We're just going to get nasty with the agency.

I found out last night that I didn't get the job I interviewed for on Friday because the woman didn't like my shirt.

It was a completely appropriate white blouse, worn with a navy skirt suit, but she thought I should have worn a button down.

The worst part - I am NOT MAKING THIS UP.

That is the reason she told the recruiter that I wasn't getting the job. *headdesk*

So I survived Monday, but barely. Me and my bad wardrobe are taking a mental health day today and looking for more jobs. I think it's the only thing for a week that ends on Friday the 13th (last day at work) and is immediately followed by a dateless Valentines Day.

I... may be hitting bottom.

Good karma for me!

Long story short - a few weeks ago, my friend mentioned she wanted to take her boyfriend wine tasting for his birthday, and asked for my recommendations in the area. I offered to show them around some of our properties that aren't open to the public.

Not only did we have a really fun day - but it turns out her boyfriend is personal friends with ONE OF MY FAVORITE SINGERS!

So this morning, he emailed me her new album that won't be released for another two months. And when her album tour stops in the bay area in a few months, we are all going to the concert, and he's going to introduce me.

*dies* I knew this year had to start getting better. I just adore this artist. My sister took me to see her for my birthay last year, and I literally cried the entire time, because it was so beautiful.

Happy Tuesday! I spent most of yesterday playing catch up from being suspended for three days (seriously, can someone tell me why it's a good idea to suspend someone for being absent? Doesn't that negate the whole point?), and will spend today doing the same.

However, I shopped for a V day outfit last night, and practiced the disgustingly romantic song I'm singing after our date, so all in all, the week looks good so far!

I had my morning meetings, ate lunch, listened to coworkers whine, worked on my taxes and have had an ok day so far.
