No school for me today...thank goodness. After reading that I was cut last night, I cozied on the couch with a couple glasses of wine instead of the book I needed to be reading for my Lit class. SNOW DAY!!!!

Today I get to man an entire bakery department by my lonesome after 1PM. The snow is supposedly starting after midnight and will continue all day tomorrow. And I get to drive in the mess because I've got the baking shift tomorrow! Whee!!!

I signed up with Meetup.com (http://www.meetup.com) recently and joined a local boardgames meet up. Tonight's the first meet up that I'll be attending and I'm very excited. Totally geeky, I know, but my wife and I have been looking for a way to meet people since we moved to Delaware a year ago and this looks like a good starting point. Meet new people, have some drinks, play some interesting games. What could be better?

Though for the record I wouldn't mind about a foot of snow falling to the ground in the next three hours, canceling class. I don't want to go to class.

Waiting for the gas company to show up to change the meter. Then it is off to the local office. I have 2 meetings today...one I am dreading as the consumer I'm meeting with is a royal pain in my butt. She is so not qualified to get Social Security and of course I have to do my best to advocate. Oh well, it's part of the job. Snow tonight so hopefully a snow day for me tomorrow. I was supposed to be out of town for an all day meeting but I'm not going. A paratransit van in the snow is not what I want to experience.

Blues is commuting to Chicago today. He flew up this morning and should be home around dinner.

Meanwhile, I am waiting for the cable guy to come swap out this piece of junk their box for a couple of cable cards in our new TiVo box. I have a pair of kitteh-ears to sew, some laundry to do, and some writing to do.

Who knows, I might even take a nap.

Ah, a bit calmer today than yesterday fortunately.

The missing parcel turned up today and I wasn't eliminated, so I guess there's still some good in this world ;)

But other than that, still the same. Eric's knee is not getting better so still tending to his needs and juggling a toddler, it's some organisation, I tell you!
Plus I'm now in charge of cooking, which is ... interesting. I can definitely cook and make some nice things, but they're just 'things". Now I get to cook every day which is peculiar. I did so before when I lived on my own, but now's different.

I guess that's just boring though lol

I can actually say with the weather channel backing me up that it's icy in Central AR right now. But it's the kind of icy that's just enough to get the kids out of school but not enough to stay all day (I don't have any kids who are school age, but the neighbors do from what I hear).

On the good side, I bought a pair of sweat pants over the weekend. Since I as with the kids and in a hurry, I just grabbed a pair off the rack in the size I've been wearing for the last year.

They're loose.
