I started writing a section on how interesting it is to see people with such differing tastes on what they do and do not like all show up in one place and make their opinions known.

But then I deleted it. I didn't have time this morning to do it justice! Besides, I think most people know it.

It's like asking people about their favorite songs/books. Some of the answers coming out always end up horrifying *someone*!!!*G*

I have to be awake at 4:30 a.m. tomorrow for a business trip. So I'm going to enjoy my 6:45 day.

Today I will read entries, pretend to work, and be proud of myself that I managed to keep my own entry up a whole day earlier than normal!

Hey guys and gals! Today's looking pretty busy between class, rearranging the living room to fit my computer desk, setting up my new computer and 28" monitor, and working. Busy, sure, but fun!

Good morning! Temperatures here will be dropping all day, and tomorrow the high is supposed to be in the 20s, with lows in the teens. A bit chillier than we're used to, although it happens not-infrequently in January and February here.

One of my bosses is being cranky and micro-manage-y lately. The other job I want is still open, so I'm still poking at the Universe to get me an interview. Husband is working on a portfolio site for his graphics and web design. Happy thoughts welcome-- you'll miss me if I have to turn off our internet!! :D

We had a total freak snow storm last night. Nothing at 7pm, whole place blanketed at 8pm, all gone by 11pm.

I want more! Not right now though, mind you - it would make the regular hospital visits even more stressful!

OK, y'all can stop sending your cold weather south! It's going to be in the teens in Atlanta tonight, and close to single digits in the mountains (I live between the two). You know what makes the cold even worse? We don't get snow! Cold = dry, so no clouds to hold in any warmth, no pretty snow covering the dead grass, just black ice on the roads. Joy.

So i posted my entry and it is I think the longest thing I have ever written. I have just never been able to write anything long! And one of my goals for this thing was to be able to try to do that.

So i realized that by doing what I needed to do to be able to write something long, I was in fact "coloring outside my own normal lines"! How funny is that?

To be fair, my post isn't even that long, it's just long for me. I've read lots of other people's entries that were far longer than mine.

But it's about 3F here, so that's not too-too cold. I grew up with a lot colder, and in fact, haven't worn what anyone else would call a "winter jacket" in well over 10 years. I'm okay with a little chilly, a little snow. It's the ice I hate!

I have a pretty busy day ahead, but I will check in periodically. I am woefully behind reading entries, even the ones on my flist, but I will have time tonight.

I do have a favor to ask anyone who wants to help me out. Blues and I must get a car this weekend. It has been ten years since we went car shopping. We know we want a five-door. Beyond that, we are kinda of clueless...

Any advice? What car would you recommend? Lease? Buy new? Buy used?

With the risk of pissing a lot of people off, I don't recommend buying American-made. I wrecked my Hyundai, which ran like a dream with no problems, and replaced it with a Chevy. One of the worst decisions ever. I've also had Fords, and that acronym of "Fixed or Repaired Daily" runs pretty true.

I had a dream last night that Puppetmaker and I were opening a theatre. But, it was muppet-sized, so we were crawling around, hanging little curtains and screwing in Christmas light sized bulbs into tiny spot lights.

While we were working, I asked her if she'd read John Seavey's article on The Muppet Show (http://goodcomics.comicbookresources.com/2009/01/14/john-seaveys-storytelling-engines-the-muppet-show/) but I woke up before she answered.

Chiming in with the generally cold stuff - we're at 12 degrees here and I think that's our high for the day. Tonight is 0 or below.

I'm getting ready to visit the Evil Empire (AKA Walmart) - I can;t remember the last time I went to one. My daughter just got diagnosed with exercise-induced asthma, and the inhaler is $25 at my local drugstore or $9 at Walmart. *sigh* I can't scoff at that.

This is about the earliest I've gotten my entry in! The good thing is - no deadline stress! The BAD thing is - more time to worry! ;-)
