Why is it that my computer keyboard sounds like it's going to break (it's only 7 years old!!) ... EVERYTHING breaks around here these days.

My mom has to replace her keyboard about once a year. There are 4-5 of them in the house at any one time, and someone on the computer at all hours of the day, usually texting, blogging, etc. The fact that they SLAM the keys doesn't help.

And as far as the results go, I'm in the same boat. I want to know, but at the same time I don't want to be done yet.

Hey, I was a good camper - my little confirmation email from Gary says that my votes were the first he tabulated!

It is Monday, and I am at work. Don't want to be at work, since I'm still sick, and stagger_lee77 was particularly cuddly this morning, but what can ya do. My folk can't therapize themselves...

Almost got a ticket on the way to work this morning. The karma gods must have been pleased with me, because I got out of it.

Start a new class this morning "Drawing: System and Color". I'm pretty excited...I've had a crapton of drawing classes but only one painting. I'm excited to add a little color to my pieces.

Good morning! I got my list in last night, so you can remove me as a potential hold-out. Tough decisions for sure...everyone wrote so well and there were some really creative takes on the topic.

The biggest hockey game of the season was this past weekend (well, if you're a fan of college hockey in North Dakota and Minnesota). Lots of fights, trash-talking and goals...and we (North Dakota) swept the series, so that was fabulous!

It's dumping snow all over Denver, so I best get myself headed out a little early so I can get to work at a reasonable time.

Voted Friday night and going through poll-withdrawal ever since. Then I put a poll on my journal because my paid time is about to run out and I won't be able to do any anymore. I should do a poll-a-day till the 20th, *bwahaha*.

Today is a day for riding the Fail Boat -- DMV things, bank errors over the holidays, and similar expensive "errors" that I didn't catch quickly what with being sick solidly since December 15.

I got my votes in, I can't wait to see how it turns out. Having been close to the bottom of polls all along, I'm rather expecting to drop into Home Game this week, but I expected that for the last several weeks and it didn't happen, so who knows which way the wind blows in LJ Idol land?

Well I sucked at Bowling but Ariel did well in the tourney.

I had to deal with ice this morning more than I would like. I had to hold on to Caroline on the way to the bus stop to keep her from falling.

Overall the weekend was good. But the playoffs are for the birds. Ravens, Eagles, Cardinals, and Steelers. We could play :One of these things is not like the others: *grin*

Good morning. Things are quiet here at the office. I've shut my door which has a built in negativity filter so anyone who comes in hee in a cranky mood or complains will get an electric shock which will send them flying.

Just finishing my end of December billing which got pushed back because I was sick. Other than that life is good.

My weekend was much too short - it was horrible getting up when the alarm rang this morning. Thankfully it was a short day at work :)

My Saturday was completely wasted as the girls decided to stay up all night Friday night. We went to bed around 11:30, woke up around 2:30ish to the girls getting up to watch tv. To be fair, I've told the older one that she can do that in the morning without asking so that we can sleep in. I just didn't mean *that early* in the morning. We got woken up again around 4 to girls giggling, and then again at 6:30. I finally stumbled out of bed a little before 8 and told them that since they had so much energy that they needed to clean their room. Hehehe.

Jason and I were too tired to do more than zombie shuffle and corral girls who were completely wired from not having slept. They went to bed an hour early Saturday night, and we ALL slept much better.

Sunday we got the ornaments off the tree. The rest of it comes down today. Throw in a visit with the in-laws Sunday afternoon/evening and that was my weekend!

I'm online, wasting my few precious minutes before needing to leave for work - mostly because I wanted to see a) how my eBay auctions did and b) how the voting was going. I have to admit, this is a little painful, but exciting.

All right, off to get dressed and get out this door in the next eight minutes. Wet hair FTW!

Last Friday, I left work to meet some friends for dinner and gaming. Most of the guys no-showed us at the last minute, so after dinner we just went home. It was then that I discovered that I had left my "I want to vote for these people" list on my desk at work.

At the time, I had about 12-15 left to read. So, I skimmed through the entries and re-created my list. I was up to 38 people to definitely vote for by the time I caught up to reading entries that I hadn't read yet.

On Sat, I was planning to be out playing Living Forgotten Realms for 5 hours and it turned into 12. Likewise, "light shopping" on Sunday turned into a 4 hour experience, so I didn't have the time I was expecting to whittle down the choices.

At about midnight last night, I finally got it down to 27. I counted and re-counted my list but it refused to get shorter without me taking people out. Finally, at around 1AM I think it was, I made my decision and sent in the email.

This morning, I find my list on my desk. It contains 21 names. So, either a lot of entries were better the second time around. Or, I was a much harsher critic on the week days.

I'd tell you about my weekend, but really, all I can think about right now is my doctor's appointment in an hour. I'm going for a blood pressure check up and I'm like being john blood pressure. It's all I can think about.

The contractors were here at 9:30 and immediately began pounding away at my deck. I think I want to escape to the second hand store, instead of cleaning or whatever else it was I had planned for today.

I am ready for the next topic, whatever it may be and in however I might be writing it (contestant or no). I changed one of my votes last night and I am 100% sure I won't regret it, but it is the first time this season I voted for someone **because** I wanted to do my part to make sure they get through this round, at the expense of an entry that I thought was pretty damn good.

And I feel really good about it too. And NO, I will not tell anyone which two contestants were involved in the swap so don't ask.

I am off... yeah, off to find something to amuse me for a while. Less time in front of a data screen, more time out in the sun today.

I had to do some last minute swamps too. Gary wrote back to me and told me I had a duplicate, so I was able to add another in last minute. But I am still sad about not including #26. :(
