Welcome to the last day of the doom-iest week yet! (every week in January gets more and more doom!)

Anyone have any interesting plans for the weekend?

I'm going to see Pinetop Perkins tonight. Which should be pretty darn cool.

Before I do that though, I've heard some sort of rumor about posting a voting poll. . . geez. Guess I should do that too!*G*

Afternoon all.

My weekend won't start until 6pm this evening as we have our annual status meeting at work this afternoon. *yawn*. This is where PDAs come in really handy - I can read and look like I'm paying attention at the same time.

Looking forward to Sunday though - a day out with the girls: brunch, "Australia" and then a cosy evening at a friends' place. Guess my husband can show up then if he really wants to ;)

Tomorrow belly dancing and then dinner with the family in the evening
Sunday...double booked myself so either a MarsCon planning meeting or a Henna Party at the major belly dance school in Mpls

My plans for the weekend include finally taking down the Christmas tree. I usually try to do that on New Year's Day, but I was still out of town then.

Oh yeah! We'll be doing that too. We usually wait until now because my daughter's birthday is during the first week of January, and she likes having all the stuff up still for that :-) (Artificial tree, so no dryness issues.)

We have snow this weekend.

Today, however, I'm having coffee this afternoon with my brother, whom I've not seen since my dad died last year. (long story) This should be....interesting.

Now to have some coffee for waking up purposes!


ETA: He just IM-d and postponed to Tuesday. This is about the 4th, if not the 5th, postponement. To be fair, most of them have been due to weather.

I am still coughing, but not as bad. My plans for the weekend include basketball, a birthday party, cleaning, contractors, and working on the latest editions of "Dear Spydie."

Just dropped the boy off at school. Girl has an upset tummy and is staying home today (poor thing went to bed at 7 last night, 2 hours early). No gym visit today! Mom is bringing by one of her old mattresses for the girlchild's bed (remnants of Murphy's Move (http://deza.livejournal.com/1221262.html)), so I can expect to be yelled at in a few hours. Joy.

My daughter tried feigning illness this morning to get out of going to school. She said she thought today was a "day off to relax" and then said her head hurt so she needed to stay home and rest. She is at school. Hehe.

Carrie's going to this post holiday/xmas party for work tonight. The company's paying for dinner and use of the pool tables at this nice restaurant/bar in San Francisco.

A friend of ours is having her birthday party at the beach tomorrow - I just think it's a dumbass idea in the middle of winter...so we may skip out on that and take a rest weekend.. :-)

There's been a lot of excitement at work lately - we work in downtown Oakland - there's been a lot of unrest/rioting going on - only worked half day yesterday

Weekend plans? Going to a surprise birthday party for a friend tonight. Tried to get her present last night and went to four different places looking for a bread machine and none of them had any. Not even a display model, or an empty space where they ought to be. It was spooky-weird! Two Targets, a Bed Bath and Beyond and Walmart.

Other than that, reading and voting and probably listening to my hubby complain about the house being a wreck. *rolls eyes* We've lived there three years and he's just noticing NOW? *haha*

Hmmm, this weekend Dayna and I are having "Second Christmas" with her brother who is FINALLY home on leave. Her mom is having breakfast Saturday morning for him. Other than that, I might figure out a photo outing...I'm not sure :)

Today is about like any other day here. D&D tonight, work tomorrow. Trying to knit more yarn than I buy. So far I'm still behind by 100 yards, but I can probably break that today or tomorrow, depending on how things go. (Then once I do, I can buy more yarn. Shh, don't tell my husband.)

Then I'll be working on the FWS events for Origins and Gen Con in late June and mid Aug respectively. They need some advertizing blurbs by Monday.
