I am amused by the Internet breaking in half over the discussion of the next Doctor, and am enjoying lots and lots of tea and homemade soup because it tastes good.

As always, we have a bumper crop of good entries.

I'm always enamoured with anything done by bewise and dabhug. I wasn't any less impressed with their offerings this week. darkprism is a beautiful, talented writer. And I really enjoyed the honesty and the glimpse we got to see of Case this week (technophile). I'm sure there are plenty more, but I'm going to have to save my reading for the better part of Sunday.

What's been really shocking me the last few rounds in the caliber of writing that has been gathering a lot of attention. It's always interesting to me to see comment ratio to vote ratio! =D

I always think it is a huge risk to write something out of your comfort zone. With that said, I enjoyed seeing technophile do something a bit different this week.

Also, check out gypsy_moon's entry. I think she deserves more recognition this week, and I found her entry pretty inspirational.

Just got back from wandering the flea market with hubby- it's such a beautiful day here we had to get outside. Saw lots of cute doggies!! Started making my Dragon*con plans. Having friends over tonight who are going to introduce us to the brilliance that "Sports Night" is reputed to be.

As for entries, I am surprised that gratefuladdict isn't getting more voting love- I think her entry is beautiful.

I love Sports Night.

I don't yet own the 10th anniversary dvd (I own the original clunky set with no special features whatsoever), but I still remember the joy of watching each episode when it was on.

You are in for a treat.

The first couple of episodes (if I recall correctly) do feature laugh tracks (*shudder* Not sure if they removed them for the new dvd set). But after that they were able to break away from it.

I am at work, as I so often am. Some day I am going to refuse to repeat myself for an entire day, and watch rehearsal fall apart. Heh.

Otherwise not so much. I saw the movie "Man on Wire" last night which is amazing, I highly recommend it to all.

I watched a great basketball game, even though Georgetown lost to Pittsburgh. Unlike some of the Pitt fans, I know how to be polite - a couple were ejected from the Verizon Center.

I managed to read and vote this morning.

I am feeling a little touchy today. I suspect it is the head cold and the lack of sleep -- my sister and her family kept me up too late last and woke me up far too early this morning.

I finally have time to sit at my computer ... and even then, it's 11 pm and I still have to eat yet today =/

The little one is teething what I think are several molars, the rest of her incisors (2) and perhaps a canine. Joy! They all look ready to pop anytime now!

That said, last night she slept the night. I'm not holding my breath. I'm sure she'll make up for that tonight, especially because after she woke up for the day she cuddled with us in bed for another 1 1/2 hours watching a baby DVD. Yeah ... watch out Sunday LOL.

I think blueashke and gratefuladdict are not getting the love they deserve so far!

Spent most of the day alternating between cleaning out SO's storage unit and divvying up the goods. Also made a much-needed Costco run.

I've been reading entries whenever I get a moment. Some of them are blowing me out of the water :grin:

Got my work schedule for next week. I'm working two night shifts and jumping around the other days. I knew hours were going to be slashed this week, but evidently didn't realize just how much. Our poor PT people :shudder:

Today I have been cleaning this house before my sister and her hubby get home from Hawaii. I get to go home and sleep in my own bed after 2 1/2 weeks here with their animals. I need my "baby" Nixon back with me.

Tomorrow we are celebrating Christmas. *Yah laugh!*
