Good morning.

Has anyone seen where I put 2008? It seems to be almost gone. I suspect someone ate it.

I just set it down for a moment and the next thing that I knew it was gone!

I have no major problems with 2008 for myself personally as a lot of good things happened during the first part of the year.

I would like to see it end though as i saw a lot of friends go through heartache.

Yah, the first half of the year January to May was a bit hard, but it came out great.. but May to now, *SUCK*... It wasn't too terrible, but at least some good things came out of it... Now will 2009 be what I hope it will be?

Good morning from a windy snowy Massachusetts. I hear the wind howling outside and it's discouraging me from my original plan to take the bus to the mall to see a movie (Doubt). Oh well. We'll see how it goes later in the morning.

Went to see The Curious Case of Benjamin Button yesterday and enjoyed the movie a lot.

Hope all are well. 2008 can slink into the abyss as far as I am concerned.

2008 was a pretty good year, IMO.

It could have used a few more chocolate chips and a few less nuts, but it was still quite tasty!

Santino woke me up early (he had to pee), so I decided to get on LJ for a little bit before trying to go back to sleep. See how my fellow Idolers are doing.

We didn't get to Waffle House yesterday. Russ, Anne, and John were all not feeling good. Anne and John didn't even eat dinner! I wonder if it was something that we had eaten on Sunday or just something going around? Hrm... We're going to try for today. *crosses fingers*

Does anyone have any New Year's resolutions? I'm still thinking about what I want mine to be. Ideas plz?

Oh, 2008 had its moments... *reminisces briefly about the good moment(s)*

... but I agree that mostly it sucked rocks.

2009 will unfortunately begin with equal or greater suckage, as my husband looks for a job (in this economy!) and we attempt to clean up the financial mess left by his business closing, and put off the people said business owes money to. Can 2009 be awesome if it starts off terrible? I don't want this to put a jinx on the entire year!! :(

During 2008 I had some fantastic road trips, met some great people face-to-face, got "kicked" by a couple of blind chicks, posted photos of LJ Idol past and current contestants as I met them, had a relationship change drastically on me, remembered that appearances can be deceiving, learned a couple valuable lessons, let go of some anger, gained some understanding, found some compassion, felt a lot of pain, rediscovered a love, danced, sung, played, cried, laughed, wrote...

and lived.

For me, 2008 was better than 2007. Hopefully, 2009 will be even better, because 2008 really wasn't all that great when looked at objectively.

Just wanted to pop in and say "hi." Me and the hubby are all over the place with travel and such so I haven't had consistent Internet access (all of our siblings are younger, and facebook/AIM and things like that are essential to their existence, so getting on the computer is near impossible anywhere).

I'm echoing a real big happy birthday to Shan and hope the rest of the idolers are having a peaceful time during the holidays!

I will not be able to read the entries this week until the polls are posted since I don't have consistent access, but I'm really looking forward to reading what everyone has come up with for the topic! : )

2008 had some real low points (my dad died) and some good points (my kids are healthy, happy, growing, and doing well in school; I found my way out of depression). A mixed bag.

Always looking forward to a better year :-) because I tend to be a "glass-half-full"-type. Plus in 2009 I hit a new decade! And it doesn't start with 3 or 4 ;-)

2008 gave me my two college diplomas and also my sister's marriage to a great guy. That's all that wonderful happened. I am gaining more independence, and hope to continue to do so in 2009, and a hopeful dream to come true, that may happen. Not holding my beautiful breath on it yet until it really does happen then i will share the news with everyone.
