I'm going to be working like a crazy person today and tomorrow. Seriously, if you see me in the green room, send me packing. I don't want to have to come in over Christmas to meet my 12/29 deadline.

Weekend was lovely, thanks for asking! Celebrated Hanukkah with my hubby and extended family, then went off to a Yule potluck celebration at a friends house.

Tomorrow is my birthday, so we're going out for dinner (again with our extended family) to The Olive Garden. Nom nom nom!

Wednesday evening we're getting together with another friend who is dropping in to town from Chicago.

Thursday is Christmas, so we're doing gifts at home then off to my MIL's house that afternoon for Christmas dinner.

Definitely a busy week!!

Gary, if you're going to say month of doom, you have to capitalize or bold or do something to it to emphasize THE MONTH OF DOOM. Or THE MONTH OF DOOM. Or use a scary font or something :D

It's very weird having 2 days off in a row. However, I'll make up for it during the next two days of the PRE-CHRISTMAS HORROR SHOW!

I had a decent weekend. Didn't get accomplished what I wanted, but I did manage to mostly shake the cold I caught. So, that's something.

I have a full day of work today. Tomorrow, my team is going out to eat for lunch, but it is otherwise a full day. There is a rumour that we'll be allowed to leave at noon on Wed, but I'll believe it when I see it. Then, I'm off until Jan 5th.

W00T! I am so looking forward to the time off.

Our cat sitter is in town and will be staying here as of tonight so I have to get the spare bed cleared and ready which is a chore in itself.

Then we are off to Atlanta to visit my folks.

Sunday I was lured into thinking it was warm outside because the sun was out and it was in the 60s on Friday. It was 24 degrees and all I had was my light denim jacket. Also, very windy. My very wonderful husband dropped me right at the door at all the stores we went to Sunday afternoon. :) While we shopped, the kids enjoyed an afternoon with their grandparents.

I had intended to celebrate both Yule and Hanukkah Sunday, but since the kids ended up at their grandparents house all afternoon and into the evening, and then fell asleep on the way home, we didn't. Whoops.

I'm lagging in the polls (I guess embarrassing pics from high school don't boost ratings, hehe) and hoping I somehow manage to make it another week...and then hoping that Gary has a Christmas break planned so we can rest a bit before the MONTH OF DOOM!! (insert ominous music)

Glad I don't have to go out (well, until evening anyway). It's currently 5 degrees out, windchill making it -10. *shiver* The high today is a warm 21 degrees. I'll be wearing the winter coat this evening. Heh.

I went on a nice, impromptu, photo outing to Oakland Cemetery this past Saturday. Will have to post those soon.

Other than that, I tossed my 5lb chihuahua into my ginormous garden tub to see if he could swim. He could....when he decided not to just stand in the water.

The snowstorms are over, thank goodness! The sun is shining. However, everything is now crusted/iced over, the temp is in the teens and going down, and it will be interesting taking The Kidz on the morning walk a little later!

Morning...
Weekend was fairly decent with a mild dumping of snow and now subzero temps so I stayed in bed a lot longer then I should have today. Had dinner with family Friday night, belly danced Saturday then saw Yes Man in the evening. Yesterday didn't do a whole lot.

This week...work today, work tomorrow, work Christmas Eve, go to Grandma's for the family gatherning on Christmas Eve, Probably see a movie and do the chinese buffet on Christmas Day, work from home 11-3 on the day after Christmas even though the office is closed suing does not seem to stop for the holidays.

-plops down in a comfy chair- Ice. It has it out for me. While Christmas shopping this weekend, I fell on my butt not once, but TWO times. That moment of weighlessness, that brief flash of oh shit and then-- down she went. -sigh-

I don't even use ice in soft drinks. I don't hurt their people! Why can't ice just be nice to me. =(

The parking lot right in front of the door to our office ices over pretty viciously. I went impromptu ice skating the other day! Managed not to fall with my piping hot coffee and various work materials, but I think the show was appreciated by the other offices in full view. :P

I'm waiting for the girlfriend to finished getting dressed so we can throw ourselves and the dogs in the car. Dump the dogs off at the vet, where they will be boarded until the Monday after New Year's. Then we're headed to Greensboro to see my folks (2 households, 1 day, whee!)

Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday I clean house while she works, then Friday we head to San Francisco to see the lovely blueashke (also gratefuladdict and xanthrant and probably lostin_thestars somewhere along the lines, too).

I just had a totally lazy weekend, and now I'm on vacation from work for the next seven days. I don't have any money to do anything, so unless I get really bored and start cleaning the house, I'll be reading, knitting, and watching DVDs for the next week. Oh, and writing if there's a topic this week!

I've finished the bits of my to do list that could be done at home, and now it's time to put the dogs away, bundle up warmly, and face the cold. 16 degrees. Brr!

I work through Wednesday (ugh). Christmas Eve night will be nothing exciting - we'll probably just order a pizza and watch Christmas Vacation on DVD. Friday, I think we might go to the movies. We're pretty boring. :)

OMG I am so tired. I was up until 2:00 packing, and then got up at 6:30 to help get Blues off to work. Then I found out that the person who had the loading dock before me ran really late (like three hours late) and was still using it when my crew showed.

NOT amused was I, at the rate I am paying these incredibly efficient men. They are estimating 6 hours total for the move, maybe a little less.

I bet y'all are so sick of hearing about this move too. I know I am sick of talking about it.

In non-moving news, I finally saw Juno last night and loved it. I am suffering from major Green Room withdrawal. And my mind wants to write so badly that I have taken to scribbling story ideas on napkins.

Sad, really.

I am less worried about G's threatened doom, and more concerned about not having regular Internet access for seven days.
